(Arguing with myself over the dating. I’m thinking after Alu-lote’s foaling, but pre Sharsa seriously joining the group she’s in.) Fat. That’s how Sharsa was feeling. She looked at her sides that were bulging just a bit. Pregnant. How could she have let it happen? She didn’t want foals or anything that could slow her down. She wanted to be able to move freely in the plains and not worry about this extra weight slowing her down. Rakai. It was his fault entirely. Still the suave male hadn’t been bad to deal with. Quite the contrary Sharsa liked his company. She could pretend to be all meek and shy and they’d both know it to be a lie, but he wouldn’t say a word on it. She could show her truer nature and he’d just accept it. Not bad for a pretty boy, he even had the good sense to hate humans. That was a combination hard to find out of the Six’s control. Well maybe she should just hunt him down, have the kids and leave them with him. She snickered imagining the look of shock on the male’s face. How often did that happen to him she wondered. He never mentioned having offspring so who knew maybe she was his first mare to have foals with. Snorting she shook her head. Doubtful any male that smooth had to have a few ‘old mare’ stories to tell. As she walked she realized she knew this place. Not to afar ahead was the tree she met Rakai by. She doubted he was there, but she changed her course a bit to head in that direction anyway. Maybe cursing at the tree she met him by would make her feel better.

(So this is taking place before the meta event where the six kill off a lot of good azrien? Just making sure since he experiences a shift in views after that event.) Rakai lay serenely in the shade of a great tree. He was absently fiddling with a ring puzzle that had to have a least 100 rings. He had already solved the this puzzle and many like unto it and quite frankly he was bored with it. Finding a challenging puzzle was nigh to impossible. Things had set rules and would only work in certain ways. They were not like the Azrein and Human puzzles always changing the rules and throwing out curve balls. He was distracted from his thoughts at the sound of hoof beats approaching from behind. The sizable tree blocked whoever was approaching from view. Likewise he would be hidden from view unless they came around the tree. He lay in silence, curious as to who was, but he waited to see, or hear, what the other would do.

(That is indeed correct ^.^ )
Coming up to the tree Shar huffed once. She felt tired and miserable all the time since she had started to gain weight. Looking up at the branches of the tree she pawed at the ground with a hoof. “Why did this have to happen to me? I hardly knew him and now I’m heavy with the result of a evening together, not even a good one at that. ” After all a good evening would have ended in Shar gaining an advantage somehow over someone or something. She liked the feeling of power she had when then happened. “Worst of all I don’t have a safe place to put a foal and I can’t defend myself and a little one. It’s easier for me to flee than it is to fight. ” Talking to trees was easy they never agreed back or pointed out flaws in her plans. It was nice. Turning around she bucked out with her hind legs at the trunk landing a solid blow to it. “Damn him and his stupid long silver mane. Damn him straight to the worst tortures of the king and the Six. ”

The instant the Azrien spoke, Rakai knew exactly who it was. Her voice was clearly upset, about a certain night with someone. It only took him a second to conclude with great certainty it was the night she had spent with him. And from the sound of it, it seemed that Sharsa was pregnant. He silently rose to his hooves as the irritated mare lashed out at the tree, cursing him. He was still digesting the idea of having fathered soon to be foals. There was a strange mixture of excitement, fear, and empathy. Though his emotions, even while he remained unseen, were not apparent on his calm face. "Was it really all that bad?" He asked silkily, stepping gracefully around the trunk to greet her face to face. His eyes quickly scanned her and indeed she was larger than when they had met up. His smile was soft and charming and his voice a hint of humor.

Whipping her head about she saw him. The suave male that was the cause of all this trouble. “Well you try waddling around with a belly full of foal and see if you think any night is worth it.” She growled at him and shook her head. She really wanted to kick him but then the male would just duck behind the tree and she’d be no better off. As he stood there watching her she glared back. “I don’t care how suave you look I hear so much as one joke about my current size and you’ll have my hoof prints as your new coat design that will stick with you for life.” Narrowing her eyes she had to admit to herself that he looked rather dashing still with that smile and those amused eyes that said they knew secrets none else knew.
“I’m probably carrying more than one by the weight. So tell me know Rakai what kind of humor do you find in this… condition of mine?” Well who knew how long he was standing behind the tree listening. He probably heard it all and knew the brats she had were his. Pity she would have had fun making him guess the father.. ah wait she hadn’t mentioned Rakai’s name had she?

Rakai's smile brightened and a light chuckle escaped him. He took a smooth step towards her. "Your so beautiful when your angry." He said in a playfully charming tone. In a way he felt bad for her predicament. After all he knew she was quite the schemer and her forte' was her ability to slip away before any real trouble caught up to her. With the burden of foals she wouldn't be able to do much. A soft smile revealed itself as he slid up beside her.

“Beautiful and fat is still fat.” She was sulking and she knew it but she didn’t really give to flicks of a tail at this point. As he came up next to her she was tempted to lash out and strike him. That was such a tempting though but it wouldn’t do anything for her. “Why are you so warm and very nearly cuddly?” She snorted at him. “You almost make me think you think these belong to you.” She laughed at him. “Or are you fond of cuddling me that much you just can’t stay away no matter how fat I get?”

Rakai's eyes narrowed slightly and gained a sly yet intelligent look as Sharsa hinted the children may not be his. She may not have mentioned any names, but given the information he knew the margin of error in his calculations was extremely small. She was just trying to mess with him as a sort of revenge. Flicking his tail, it lightly brushed the mare's side. "Am I not a cuddly teddy bear to you?" he asked playfully nuzzling her neck with his blue nose.

Feeling a surge of pain through her body from the foal or foals she carried she growled and winced. Then Rakai nosed her neck. She moved back to look at him. “As cuddly as any viper could possibly be.” She moved up next to him and bumped her head against his neck. “Lets just hope the little monsters don’t turn out like you, or whoever their father might be.” Well he didn’t rise to the bait the first time so she doubted he would this time. Maybe she’d get lucky her child wouldn’t look like him at all then she could laugh at Rakai and make him guess if the foal was his or not. Then someday she’d tell him, perhaps..

"A viper huh?" He said playfully nudging her back. Something about the idea of having kids was infecting him, and funnily enough he didn't try to stop it. He raised an eyebrow charmingly as she spoke. "Then who do you want the lil monsters to be like?" He pried, a handsome grin on his face. He again seemed to completely ignore the hint that the kids where not his. He knew by now without a doubt that he was the father. Sharsa wasn't that good at concealing things from him. But he liked that part of her, that and her uncannily similar cunning nature.

"Yes a viper. That’s the only kind of thing you could possibly be. Anything else just wouldn’t seem fitting.” Rolling her eyes she walked away from him slowly. “You need to clean out your ears Rakai. I said I don’t want them like you. Ugh I don’t even want to imagine having to deal with such a personality for more than a day, much less how long it takes for a foal to grow.” She faked a shudder. “What a horror that would be.” Feeling another pain she frowned. The darn foal picked the worst times, clearly it would take after it's father. She knew it would happen soon. She needed to get away somewhere safe. Stopping her walk she looked back at Rakai. She didn’t trust him completely but he wasn’t too bad.

Rakai chuckled, letting her walk away from him. "So, you want them to be just like you?" His voice low and silky. Tossing his head he took a small step towards Sharsa. "They'll run around creating disasters in their wake." His smile grew and he continued to move towards Sharsa. The idea sounded pretty fun and interesting to him. "I don't think it would all be that bad?" His charming smile shifted to show a hint of mild concern at the frown. He sensed that she was looking to go somewhere in a hurry. "You alright?" He asked, his voice still soft an silky.

“Well they are my children so I do hope that they would take after me. It’s only fair after all I have to raise the little spawnlings.” She smiled at him. No Rakai wasn’t so bad at all. She decided he could be trusted for this. Only once of course. Never more than once. “Well you try having at least one probably more by the feel of it decide that they want this very second to get out of you? I’ll bet you certainly wouldn’t be alright. Silly things don’t even have the sense to wait until I’m in a safe place. So then Rakai do you know of a place or are you willing to stand guard since you seem so infatuated with me and what’s mine.”

Rakai had to force his gaze to remain on Sharsa's face and not slide back to look at her bulging belly as she spoke. "Their's a little grove over there." He replied, his tone hinted with concern. Rakai indicated an area of trees not far from the large tree they were standing in front of. He was still being gentlemanly despite being at a total loss. After all she was the one that was going to give birth, not him. Taking the lead and matching whatever pace Sharsa felt most comfortable, he headed for the trees.

Watching him she was impressed he managed to keep his eyes on her face. It seemed like this whole time he’d been eying her belly. Well that was Rakai in general she guessed. The stallion knew how to be polite at all times even when most others would be panicked and witless. She’d hate to lose him as a contact after all he was so sensible. Maybe she’d leave a foal with him if she had more than one. A permanent reminder that he was tied to her no matter where he went or what he did. Provided she had more than one foal of course. If she only had one then she’d just keep the little one and be done with Rakai, unless she could convince him to come with her, which she doubted enough not to want to try. “It’s sweet of you to worry Rakai dearest.” Dearest was said sprinkled lightly with sarcasm but cheery enough a tone just like a loved mate speaking to another. She wasn’t his mate and this was just a onetime fling to him most likely so she might as well have some fun with it. Following his lead she strided toward the trees with somewhat jerky movements when the pains came closer and closer.
