"I cannot ******** believe you," Ami muttered as she dragged the girl down the hall by a single arm. She really didn't want to be doing this right now, but there was no helping it. She had to put this obnoxious girl in her place. "I mean really, of all the things to do."
Ami's expression was as sour as ever as she headed to a "Ryan"'s dorm. They'd found the name in one of the books she'd taken and searched his dorm room on the roster.
Now the intermediate had to drag this stupid girl down the hall to go return the books and say sorry. She knew if she left Madeline to do it herself, it would never get done. She needed severe guidance. "You're a ******** idiot."

Madeline was, at the best of times, an idiot.
An intelligent, I-know-how-to-break-a-mans-arm-in-two-simple-steps idiot, but one none the less. "I swear I didn't mean to," She said for the thousandth time, lagging behind Ami, "it was an honest mistake. Honestly. I can be honest sometimes you know." She flipped an auburn curl over her shoulder, trying her best to pull off a slightly apologetic tone. "And I was drowning in your books anyways, one extra lying around wasn't something I thought much about until - well..."
Yes, Madeline had been doing book-surgery in the HQ earlier that week.
Yes, she might not have kept as good a tally on them all as she should have, and one that wasn't part of the whole procedure with a name she didn't recognize just might have slipped in. Really, it was an honest mistake! She hadn't meant to - really, - and she hadn't meant to read it all the way through either before Ami even got a hold of it.
( Really? )
Really.
( Thats your ******** alibi? Ami's right, you're a ******** idiot. )
I get it, okay, shut up, I'm going to give it back, okay?
"You've said that already," Madeline told Ami, "one hundred and seven times now. More if we count what you think." When the dorm came into view, she put on her game face and wriggled out of Ami's grip to wrap her knuckles on the door before turning to Ami and crossing her arms.
"Anyways, give me some credit, I was doctoring all your books, and you do have so many, doll. Excuse me if I - uh - got carried away."
Way away.
Hopefully this Ryan guy would understand too.
If not....
Well, she could kiss her skinny a** goodbye.

"It doesn't matter if you meant to or not," she growled, "You still did it." Ami was like a mother scolding their child after she stole candy from a story.
Eventually the arrived in front of the trainee's door and Ami let go of her iron grip on Madeline's arm. Well no, it was more like Madeline got out of her grasp, but Ami would've told you SHE was the one who let go.
< You're being kind of harsh. Chill out. >
She needs to learn.
< Yeah. Learn. Not be killed! >
Step off your giant crush for her.
< Ami! >
She pointed to the door and said, "Knock again."

There wasn't anytime to knock on the door again. After hearing the squabbling going on outside his door, Ryan opted to see just what exactly was going on. If not for curiosity's sake, to at least ask them to go take it somewhere else.
"Guys," He cut in, once the door was open. "if its not too much of a bother, can you both argue in front of some other persons door?" There was a pause before he added- "Please."

Arguing abated by the opening of the door, Madeline pushed herself away from Ami's rage and turned to Ryan, eyes flicking up and down before settling finally on his face. "You're Ryan, yeah?" She raised a hand, the book that had been the source of their argument magically in between her fingers.
She had wanted to be a magician as a kid after all.
"I think this is yours, doll," She said with a slow smile, and then under what could only be a seething stare at the back of her head from Ami, continued with, "it accidentally ended up in a pile of books I was doctoring for Ami. I've been meaning to return it." Also, Ami was trying to kill me the other day when she found it. And yes, Ami, she was rubbing that doctoring part in just a little. The Sun trainee forced herself to sound somewhat apologetic though, even though as with all things, Madeline sat on something of a high horse.

Ami crossed her arms and watched Madeline with a judgmental eye. Stupid, stupid, stupid. The word repeated in her mind like a mantra until Junpei told her to shut up because of how obonoxious it became. Seething stare was an understatement.
"Accidentally?" she questioned judgmentally. She rolled her eyes. Madeline was not telling the whole truth. "I'm sorry she's so stupid."

Ryan passed a confused look between the two, before turning his gaze down onto the book. A book he had been missing for quite a while now.
"Ah! That's--" There was hint of irritation as assumed theft and held his hand out for it, but stopped himself. If it were theft, they were more likely to have just left it in front of his door, if return it at all. No. This might have been his own fault.
"I guess I had misplaced it somewhere. Thank you both for returning it." Now, he took the book, flipping it open to scan through the pages. It was already roughed up, but given that the last time he left a book laying around, it had been missing pages and stuff scribbled inside by the time he had found it again. He liked to check, just in case of this possibilty.
"Just as I left it too." He said, closing it and tucking it under his arm.
"I'm assuming you read it then?" He asked. After all, it sounded as though it had been found a while ago. So why else would it have taken so long to come back? "Was it good?"
