Korra awoke in a tree like many times she had before. She yawned, stretching high as she stood up and jumped from the tree. Her dark hair blew against the gentle morning breeze. She inhaled the breeze, like she was welcoming itt in her body. Walking towards a cliff she looked down on her small village and jumped. Sliding down the rough mountain walls.

Nadie come out her staff behind her back in a pouch made out of deer, her knife in its sheath at her side, it was a simple knife for cutting things mostly that she needs like a chunk of meat or skinning hide, she never had to use anything for defense, her soul was one with the earth itself it seemed her her people and her as well, thats how she lived, her mother and father were at the village edge with some of the tribes elders, she hugged her mother goodbye and was slipped a healing pouch, which she smiled when she recieved, her father gave her a nod of approval, which she took and then sliding into the kanoe she began to row down the river to the neighboring village.

"Korra!!" "Korra Where is that child!?" "Princess Korra!!
The girl jumped from the mountain side, the dirt collected on her, scars dried blood were every where on her body. "I'm here Mama" Korra said with a smile, "What is it? I was just in the mountains" Her mother was a beautiful woman with the same dark, glossy hair she had inherited. She now held her hands at her hips and stared down at her daughter. "For three days! Oh Korra and look at you! filthy! You need to get ready for your journey, the next villages member will be arriving shortly" Her mother scolded.
Korra laughed nervously "But the spirits were calling-"
"Daughter... please don't make excuses and quickly get ready, we mustn't be late for this event" Her father said, stepping into the room. He wore his chief headdress and his staff in his hand "The neighbouring village's member will be arriving shortly"

Nadie found a current in the stream, that ran along the river where her kanoe could follow until she reached the bend in the river where she would row just no more than a mile and be at the neighboring village, she pulled her oars in and brought out her reed flute, playing with beautiful skill, as the sweet notes swayed down the river.

Korra was immediatly taken to the river that was just outside the village and forced to scrub at her dried blood and scars, ``Ouch Mama!`` She complained, ``That`s hurting even more than when I got them`` She was then taken into the small huts and dressed in clean new clothes made from the more recent catches by the village. She was annointed by the elders and then given her bag filled with things she might need.
Korra stood there and gazed at herself at the river`s reflection, and touched her clean skin and watched how she looked like her father when she lifted the spear. and there she waited, surrounded by the villagers.

Nadie put away her flute as the river finally caught up to the bend, she took out her oar again and then turned down the bend in the river she rowed down its bank when she began to make out the neighboring village, she rowed til she was infront of the village itself and the watchers waiting, she pulled her kanoe toward the bank and then got out herself, her staff in her right hand helping her balance as she proceeded up the slippery bank, she then stepped forward her gaze balancing with the people around her,"I am Nadie Chief Powants daughter, and the daughter of the shawomen Osow".

Nadie turned her gaze back toward Korra,"It is what needed to be done, we have a long journey ahead and who knows if we ever come back?", she said with so calmly as if she expected the fact if they died it was what was meant to be, nadie did not feared death she will welcome it when its time came. Nadie grabbed her oar there was an extra in the kanoe but she would wait til korra waved goodbye before she would tell her to paddle, they paddle out into the river, and then began to paddle up the bank heading north.

Korra shrugged, its not like she didn`t understand. She knew death was a horrible thing but it wasn`t as if she feared it either. But nore did she feel that she would ever welcome death. All she cared about was being one with life as it is now, then dying when it was time. She always did dangerous things that would lead to her death however she never really thought of death, she just did things. So she sat behind Nadie in the kanoe and obediently paddled watching fish swim by, trees dance with the wind and listen to the faint song of the birds.
