Madeline only had one question in mind as she found her way to the place; what the hell was a minipet? Well. She knew the basics. She'd read about it, because even though it was apparently news to other people, she did in fact know how to pick up a book. Stomping with self-entitled importance into the labs, Madeline twisted her head around, looking for lab techs, or someone to give her a general what-do rundown apart from what she already knew.
She was supposed to... feed them. And interact, she supposed, because that was part of the studying/duty exercise too. The glass tanks held her interest for a few minutes, and she ran her hands over one that housed a floresce, resisting the urge to knock her forehead into the glass for a better view.
And then something dawned on her.
She remembered being assigned here for duties, but hadn't there been some sort of note telling her she'd have a partner today? Madeline backtracked and glanced around for any sign of human life apart from the nasty little minipet in the glass cage next to her, pawing at the window like it would break it down and eat her heart once it got the chance. She cooed at it for all of two seconds as if to goad it on before straightening and swiveling around on the balls of her feet again - because really, she didn't want to ******** up on her first day on duty - at least alone.
