It wasn't long after he got Silvya that he was sent around to talk to a few other people. He was ushered into another area where he was presented with a white coat, information that labeled him a 'Mist Hunter' as well as a general list of things to study and work on before he was sent on his first mission. They also gave him a bag.
It was a go-bag, his go-bag.
<< What's in that sack anyway? Open it up! >> Silvya had been no help during any of this, preferring to hum and sing in other tongues while Roland tried to pay attention.
"It's just a go-bag Silvya. You make one to take with you when you need to leave quickly." He opened it up, inside where spare clothes, minimalist survival gear. Considering it was the bag he took from home before agreeing to follow the hunters away from home it had a few extra things. A no longer working ipod, a few books on survival and one on the paranormal.

"And you sing too much, too loudly, and why of all things did you become an ear ring?" He reached up fiddling with the mini scythe dangling from his left ear. "I never had a piercing before and that hurt."

Groaning he made his way to room 152, he dumped his bag and a few other things off before moving down the dorms halls looking for room 113. When he arrived he raised a hand feeling awkward. This coat, Silvya, it all felt like it happened too quick. Still he knocked on the door waiting for a reply.
"Rep? You here? I'm back from that uh weapon cave thing."

Jordan pulled a fresh shirt on over his head and tossed the one he'd worn to work on one of the cleanup crews into the laundry basket in the closet. About time to do laundry, and it was his turn. Ugh. The knock at the door came as a welcome distraction, and Jordan went to find out who was there. The voice wasn't familiar, but that could mean any number of things.
He opened the door to find a trainee he didn't recognize in a Mist coat. Rep had made a friend, apparently. "Hey," Jordan said, nodding amiably. "You newly hatched? I don't think I've seen you before."

A friend of Rep's? Must be considering this was the room he told him to go too. Still he seemed friendly enough, more so then Rep, then again dealing with newly awakened Hunters seemed like a rather dreary job. That lab was cold dammit.
"Hatched, awaken, thawed out, call it what you want but yeah." He offered a hand to Jordan, "Roland Taft. Rep told me to come find him after I was given my weapon and this was the place he directed me too."

Ro's face turned a light pink for no apparent reason.

Jordan nodded, accepting the handshake. "Jordan Miller, Sun division. This is Ferros," he added, and held up his right hand to indicate the ring on his index finger. "Nice to meet you. Rep's not back yet, but you're welcome to hang around if you want. Were you part of a new group or just you?" he asked curiously.

"Nice to meet you both." He pointed to a silver scythe like earring on his left ear. "That would be Sylvia." He shrugged a bit at the later question, "I woke up alone I think, no one else came out the little pod things just me and Rep was waiting when I did." He paused, "There was a group before that though... that... trial thing."

Jordan nodded again and moved back into the room, sitting down on the side of the bed and giving the desk chair a shove with his foot so the it rolled a little towards Ro. "Sometimes they wake up whole groups at once, sometimes it's just one or two. Everyone goes through the trials thing, though."
"I see you've got your division assignment. How much did they tell you?" A thought occurred to him and he laughed. "I'll bet you didn't get the golem briefing yet."

He caught the chair spinning it around to drop himself into it rotating around slowly to watch Jordan. "Well it looks like I'm the only one today, makes me feel like a special snowflake I guess?"

His face turned Red again but it could be chalked up that it had to do with Jordan laughing at him. "Y-yeah they told me each divisions general job, that I was to learn each and eventually be able to work in any of them effectively." He paused frowning more, "Golem?"

"Yeah, Mist is the flexible division. You should talk to some of the Mists around here, they'll help fill you in. Maybe call Cass or Candace - er, Cassandra Hasan or Candace Pennington, they'll be two of your seniors." He chuckled. "Golems are - hmm - they're kind of like extra bodies. They're used for hazardous tasks, things that could kill you; your consciousness is in the golem and you control it, but it's a constructed thing. That's how you could die in the trials and then wake up and get out of your pod. You weren't in your own body."

"Flexible and full of work. I have a stack of reading a mile high to start on, I need self defense training and practice with Sylvia, she's a scythe, thats like... horribly impractical to fight with."
<< EXCUESS ME? >> A shrill whistle of noise caused the boy to double over in the chair, "STOP IT KNOCK THAT OFF!" The whistling stopped but he was still poking at his ear. "G-golems fake bodies. Right." He shivered again, "Glad this body wasn't the one I was in... I'd hate to have a bullet hole going through the back of my head...."

"You'll settle in soon enough. Not much to do on the - " Jordan paused as Ro doubled over, his eyebrows going up. "You okay there?"

"S-Sylvia is a ahh Banshee.... she can be... very loud when she wants to be." he sat up a bit rubbing a knuckle in his ear drum, sadly that wasn't enough to jab the part of his brain still reeling in shock from her last outburst.
"I um... she didn't like what I said. About Scythes being a bad... weapon..." He trailed off, there was only silence in his head. "They aren't -bad- just I have no clue where to even start with using you..."

"Oh, I see." Jordan winced in sympathy. "She'll help you with using her. You'll find you have a decent basic ability to fight with your weapon, but you'll get better as you train. Listen to her, she can help guide you. And I suspect that there won't be as much screaming if you do listen to her," he added dryly.

"W-well that's nice to know." He sat up proper at last he didn't seem to be in as much pain now but he was still a bit shaken at the whole screaming voice in his head. "Train an it gets better. Simple enough." He paused for a moment before staring at Jordan asking in a very flat tone.
"If listening to her is the best choice then do you mind taking your shirt off?"

Jordan blinked twice, then burst out laughing. "Sorry, Sylvia," he said, grinning. "I'm flattered, but I'm taken." He shook his head, clearly not offended. "I can see you're going to have an interesting time with her," he told Ro.

Somewhere in his head, Ro got the impression someone was pouting. Pouting with the face of a hundred sad ktitens it felt like. "Yeah. Very interesting."
<< Alas my heart shall wait for another.... >> the voice trailed off as if she left the room. It was a pleasing feeling considering her usual presence could be summed up as, singing, yelling, and fussing; in that order.
"But um, hey, at least you have someone around here? They don't frown on dating or anything? Rep made this job sound ummm a bit more serious then the military with just a hiiiiint of crazy involved."
