The double, copy, whichever and whatever he was whickered in response, a manic, feral gleam in those glowing eyes. The original's words fell upon deaf ears, lips pulling back to bare teeth, nostrils flaring into a sudden charge. He took the original's warning as a signal, his leave to take the first strike, something he would make Petro regret. There was a satisfying ring of metal hitting FEAR-formed flesh, of striking against another form. The copy reigned back with a mocking whinny.

His other-self moved out away from his attack with ease, though he did feel a hoof catch him by the hind leg. But the strike was off-balanced, and it was easily shaken off. It seemed Petro's other-self had a better grasp of movement and coordination and he knew it. Wings unfurled and began to beat a steady rhythm, lifting the distorted copy into the air as if to further emphasize this point. He suddenly swooped down, sending Petro dashing to the side, and with a neigh of laughter, the clone pulled right back into the sky, shaking his head in mad delight.

He stared up into the air, watching his other-self circle overhead, neighing and whickering. He was being dared to chase after him, was it a race his other-self wanted? Petro hadn't given his wings their proper test flight, but this seemed as good a time as any to do so.
The tikbalang turned Deathcharger took flight, his legs propelling him and his wings buoying into the air at a speed that took his other-self by surprise.

The double was expecting his target to follow after him into the air, thinking he had the advantage had lulled him into a false sense of security. He didn't expect Petro to explode into a blur of movement, slamming into him with enough force that nearly knocked him back down to the ground. At the last minute, he managed to regain control of his wings and steadied himself back into the air. Looks like they were going to have a dog-fight.

His other-self seemed confused by Petro's stance in the air. Feral, glowing eyes narrowed in suspicion for a moment. Just for a moment. And then he tried to lunge for the original's throat, intending to draw blood. But his swift approach was met with a wave of nausea and a wall of heat and power. He tried to pull away, to fall back until he regained some semblance to order but to his horror, he found himself dive-bombing towards the ground and slamming with a thunderous force.

With a pained roar, the distorted doppelganger decided he too would mimic the original's earlier action. Another neigh, high-pitched and fury-laced, tore from his throat as he focused all his FEAR into his opponent. With such close proximity between them, surely the effects would be devastating?

Success! Not by much but still. He'd done what he set out to do and scrambled to his feet. He narrowly managed to avoid the hoof that would have caved his skull in, despite the armor that adorned his head. With Petro still feeling the effects, he reared up on his hind legs and slammed his front hooves against the original's chest.

No! No! No no! His other self swerved away from the incoming attack, his wings taking the brunt of the sharp hooves' strike. A gasp from the shock of pain was quickly stifled. At least in this respect, the distorted copy was similar to Petro. And rather than lashing out in anger and desperate fury, he managed to catch his opponent off-guard and knocked him off his feet.
