How It Works
You will sign up to play an NPC bronze or brown wher to chase the Running gold wher. While the gold is affiliated with the Revolution, everything about your NPC - name, handler, affiliation, etc. - is completely up to you! They can either be a Malvren wher, or a refugee or reinforcement from Benden. At the end of the Run, the browns with the highest points will be awarded to their players; the bronzes will be judged based on activity and quality of roleplay. You cannot win both a bronze and a brown - you can only play ONE NPC for the Run. Once the winners are announced, please formalize the character and submit them to character applications where they'll be refined.
Meepfur will pilot the gold as an NPC, although she will eventually be given away via another method. The Run will last until the gold is caught, and ideally there will be 3 posts made for her per day (one morning, one afternoon, and one evening, although not at specific times).
If you own a Bronze wher, you cannot win another Bronze but CAN win a Brown.
If you own a Brown wher, you cannot win a Brown but CAN win a Bronze.
If you own a Brown wher, you cannot win a Brown but CAN win a Bronze.
Instructions
1.) Sign-up in the sign-up thread located here, using the form provided. Which colour you try for is up to you - however, if all bronzes sign up, there will be no browns given out, and vice versa. You do not need a pre-approved character for this.
2.) Participate in the Run, playing as the NPC you submitted. The personality, history, etc. of the wher and handler are up to you, but not appearance aside from color. You do not choose a specific premade to be your NPC to begin with, as they will be awarded at the end.
3.) When the Run is finished, those brownhandlers with the highest total points (from their rolls in the Run) will be given the browns to choose from. Those who participated with bronzes will be judged based on acitivity and quality of roleplay. The winner of the Run is guaranteed their wher, without need of judging or point-totalling. In all, up to three browns and two bronzes will be given out.
4.) You may use wherhandler characters created for the current metaplot, as long as they're at Malvren.
5.) Formalize your character and submit a character application if you are a winner.
6.) If you have a wher who actually exists already and is currently at Malvren, you can sign up with them instead, if you like! They won't be eligible for the participation prizes, but if they win the Run itself, you will be given first pick of an egg (for another character, of course) from the resulting clutch.
