Since she had talked to Roch, and both had agreed to keep their new relationship under wraps, Amphi had given a lot of thought about talking to Thanatos. How would she tell him?
She wanted to confess to him when this was all brought to her awareness (otherwise when Undine had told her what was happening to her), To tell him truthfully that she was 'attracted' to him. But that would just complicate the situation. She'd still probably be honest about it....
Amphi was new to liking someone, and romantic things and being someone's ghoulfriend. Something that still amazed her after all. But she wanted to talk to Thana first. She wanted him to know first what was happening with her, and how she was handling it.
And to give him the same respect she had always tried to give him by being his friend. So taking a deep breath, she carried herself to the reaper dorm, not to visit Roch but to visit Thana.
Pausing outside his room, she laced her hands nervously and then sighed. Better own up to it Amphi rather then stand outside forever!
A slight rap on the door and a gentle, "Thanatos?"

The moment she knocked, the sound of excited barking could be heard coming from behind the door, although it was soon muffled. It didn't take long for the sound of footsteps to reach the door in order to answer it, the faint smell of peach tea drifting out. The reaper standing on the other side was dressed in a bathrobe, like he had just gotten out of his morning shower not too long ago, and hadn't found the time to put on something comfortable.
... Well, the bathrobe was comfortable.
"Amphi," He was a little surprised that she didn't use her nickname for him, but it wasn't necessarily a bad sort of surprise. She was also here pretty early, "Good morning."

"Hi!" She stared as he opened the door and then cocked her head at his attire, still staring. A small flush spreading on her cheeks because...oh you know. That faint peach smell reminding her of the tea and the last time such an event had happened.
"I'm sorry to disturb you so early! How is your morning so far?" She looked up at him, giving him a soft smile, ignoring the feeling that always tugged at her when she looked at him... "I was wondering if you had time before classes or your day to start to talk!" It seemed with him, she always wanted to talk. And well, considering the subject, she knew his insight would be just as nice on it...
"I have something important to tell you..." All of the serious faces for Amphi at the moment. Well as serious as a flushed mermaid could look staring UP at the boil. "Um...I won't take long...or well, I hope not to take long...I mean it might take long but not too long..." She started to ramble...

"I'm in the middle of preparing breakfast," He answered, taking a step back as he held the door open for her, "But it doesn't require too much concentration, so I am up for a conversation... Would you care for some tea with jam and bread?" He had been raised to never skip breakfast. It was considered one of the most important meals of the day.
"You always seem to have something important to say to me," He laughed, grinning at her as he invited her in with a wave of his hand.

"Oh, I am sorry!" She hadn't even thought of breakfast, a fact verified when her stomach grumbled and she covered it, looking up at him with embarrassment. "Oh...well..Um if you don't mind then yes! I would like to join you for breakfast." She looked around for Biskoto, wondered where the familiar had gone off to...
"That's because Thana has the best advice," She laughed, "And I feel comfortable talking to you. Your much more insightful about things then I am.." She stood at the counter and watched him make his breakfast, watching him carefully. "And I've never known you to tell me a lie..."
"Thana....I uhm..." Her face turned a deep shade of red as she stuttered with what she wanted to say before just saying it. "I have a boilfriend now..." and then proceeded to talk really fast now.
"I had a talk with Undine, and she told me about how I was attracted to you, and Roch and that attraction wasn't bad but it was a matter that i would have to deal with and then, I talked to Roch about it and he said I'd have to make a choice and I was nervous and a little overwhelmed but happy at the same time because he liked me so much, and I liked him and..." She broke off, her face red and rubbing her palms over it..."And I'm a little confused as to...what I should feel for you." She bit her lip, "Your...Your very special to me Thanatos. Someone I know that I would hurt very long time without...but it's different then Roch....I think."
"So...I came to tell you this....even though its kinda of early in the morning and...um..." She kinda of shifted awkwardly now, waiting for him to react. How...she didn't know? She wondered briefly if he would grin and pat her on the head and remind her that she was a child, give her insightfulness about it. Like he always did.

"Biskoto generally wakes up a little later," Thanatos seemed to read her mind - or at least, inferred from the way she was looking around the room - that Amphi might had started to miss the familiar since Biskoto had been pretty much missing due to having to shed... And being generally grumpy about it, "She finished shedding a while ago, so I'm sure that she would be pleased to see you once she is up."
He returned to the kitchen counter then, putting a plate with several sliced of toasted bread, a jar of jam, a pot of hot peach tea, and two tea cups onto a tray, carrying it over to the table in the living room; he hadn't expected company, but he imagined that Amphi didn't eat much anyway, "Go ahead... Have you ever had jam with bread?"
Her little rant got his attention, and he raised an eyebrow when 'Roch' was mentioned; to be honest, he wasn't sure how to feel about Roch and Amphi together. It was almost like sticking two Sheepish together, and letting them wander without a shepisherd... The fact that she had a boilfriend now was not as surprising as the fact that this boilfriend happened to be Roch.
Then again, he had long suspected that he was playing hard to get. He didn't even need to predict this.
"First, I wish to apologize," He started, sitting down in his armchair, "I do like you, Amphi, and you are beautiful - as I am sure Biskoto will agree, even if she is basing it off your scent - however, as attractive as you are, looks and personality, I cannot see you as more than a friend as I personally feel that you are not ready for a relationship." Perhaps it really was best that she chose Roch first; it takes a lot to move his heart, and no doubt she wouldn't last that long, if she was attracted to two boils at the same time.
"However, seeing how you have made already your choice, I wish you well," He continued, leaning over the table to pour them each a cup of tea, "This does not affect our relationship, for we are still friends, yes?" He raised an eyebrow, leaning against the back of his chair, amber eyes looking at the mermaid.
He was being honest for once.

"I see! I'll have to come when she's awake then!" She stopped looking around then, focusing on him and raised her eyebrow. "I have had some jams before, though not on toast.." She furrowed her brows, "Like I have had them on sweets...cakes and pastries." She smiled...and then took a deep breath.
After her whole rant, she listened quietly to what he said, attentively watching him because Thanatos had a way of explaining and being clear about it. She almost sighed in relief at his reaction. He wasn't upset, blaming her for being silly with her attraction, even wavering between him and Roch. And his slight rejection of them being romantic didn't hurt her or sting her at all. It felt almost calming to know that...
"I am not sure what you would have to apologize about Thana." She shook her head, "I'd think I would be the on who should apologize first. I'm always doing and not thinking about it first...And thank you for the compliments." She smiled again, oddly flattered, "Though I find Biskoto more beautiful...And thana is very handsome.." Though that would be saved for another time...Her head cocked as he too saw her a friend. Again, relief filled her. Oddly enough, she wasn't offended by his statement of not being ready. She didn't think she was either but...that was for her and Roch to find out together. "Thank you...I will...It is...A learning experience, I will not lie." and one she had dove head first in to.
"Ah, I was worried..." She was still being honest, "That this would conflict with us being friends. I do rely on you, if not a little too much, but I do..." She took a deep breath and closed her eyes, "Like I said, your very dear to my heart...A close friend as sorts, I suppose." She laughed, "If it is alright with you, Can I still come to visit you? I'll try to lessen the visits so that I am not a bother..." She furrowed her brows, "Though not about advice all the time, maybe even just hang out?" Things she thought were acceptable as friends. Again, for a moment, she realized that Thana was being very honest with her. They had had a chat once, after the horemen trials about the meaning of friends and depending on someone. It was odd to thing that he might actually think the same of her now. She sipped her tea and chuckled.
"Now if you were to dress in a bikini and parade around with me in little clothing...we could be the BEST of friends.." She joked, waggling her eyebrows.

"Bread is not sweet, which helps to balance out the natural sweetness of jam. It is a good combination, as the bread prevents you from getting sick of the jam," He mused out loud, spreading some jam on a piece of toast before holding it out towards Amphi; it was still warm to the touch, the way he liked it. His lips split into a grin at her compliment, "Ah, but that is a fact, is it not?"
Oh, he knows.
"Like I had said numerous times before, I am sure that I would be unable to keep you away, even if I tried," He chuckled, shaking his head, spreading jam out onto another piece of toast, this time for himself, "Besides, I had became accustomed to it. It is no bother." As strange as it was, it would be odd if she stopped coming over altogether.
"If that is what it takes, I'm afraid I probably do not have the fortune of being the best of friends with you," He replied, clearly amused, "I doubt that a bikini will be able to hold me, nor will it be flattering."

"I see!" She reached out for the offered piece, nibbling on it. It was actually quite good and took a bigger bite. Huh. This was REALLY good. "Yes..." She said slowly, "You have not been shy about that." She chewed again.
She knows he knows.... :'|
"Probably!" She laughed, "I'm not sure even if I could keep myself away." She shrugged and then furrowed her brows again for a second....Well enough about me then..." She waved her hand...
And then burst out with laughter. "That's a shame Thana..." She said between laughs, "I am sure we could find a very flattering bikini...Or maybe those..Mankini's??" She had heard that they made fascinating versions for men...She went back to nibbling her toast with that thought.

"I was told that being humble is not one of my better traits," He grinned down at her, chewing down on the toast, making sure to swallow before chuckling, "If I locked the door you might find your way in through my window, I imagine~" Amphi was the ultimate stalker, apparently.
"Mankinis?" He echoed with a laugh, "Amphi, as much as I am sure you will enjoy looking at my body, I suggest you take your fetishes to your boilfriend instead of throwing them out here."

"Not a bad thing! Quite enjoyable actually...plus, it helps you battle even more less humbling people...like Lou." Lou...Ew. She continued to nibble and idly thought how easy it would be to get through the window...probably easy enough, it wasn't like his room was to far up...she could probably enlist-
"Fetish?" A word she was unfamiliar with, though at the mention of his body, her face turned completely red and she focused on the tiny crumbs in her lap and just...."Ah..." Well now he'd done it. "I don't think a Mankini would suit Roch...or Thana after all...." Shift eyes to the right.
"By the way, Did I tell you..." She perked back up, "I'm an exam away from being Y3! A hob? And then I will have to find a mentor. I'm not even sure what I should do though..." She looked away, "I was always told that I would just take over the pisces clan but....I would like to stay on land and continuing learning things....maybe something with FEAR healing?" She was actually playing off idea's, while asking Thana for his thoughts.."Do you know what your going to do after Amityville Thana?"

"Ah, Lou," Thanatos grinned, clearly not sharing Amphi's feelings of disgust; he had a feeling that if they had met at a different time and place, they might had gotten along... Ah, fate, how you love to play games. He laughed at her reaction, his grin widening, "Ah, a fetish is... Something not usually portrayed as something sexual, but is sexual to you. I believe that's how most people would define it."
He made a mental note to send a mankini to Amphi one day, for Roch.
"Oh?" He raised an eyebrow; sometimes, she acted so much like a child that it was difficult for him to remember that while he was older than she is, she was one grade above him, "You would have to tell me when you are an official Hob. I'm sure Biskoto would want to celebrate it for you." He had an idea for that, maybe, "You should do something you have an interest in... Although it seemed like your elders have things in planned for you."
His expression turned serious, even if it was only for a moment, "Likewise, my elders had something planned for me, but the future is unknown-" As ironic as it was, coming from him, "-so who knows?"

"Yes...Lou." Its not like she hated the boil...just greatly disliked him. Very...greatly. "I....I see." She blinked and looked away, her face red as she shook her head. "I do not think attire would be my fetish..." At least she THOUGHT so.
She made note to actually see what a mankini looked liked, especially if Thana or Roch ever wore one.
"Of course! My exam will be coming up in a couple of weeks I think..." She took a deep breath, "I didn't expect it to come so soon seeing as I just became a knob? not that long ago. That when I first met you..." Ah that was a funny time...and awkward! Funny how she had changed in that time. Well maybe not so much changing but...She was surprised though by the serious look on his face, nodding at him.
"I would like to do something I like here on the land...It would be hard for me...I think...Especially with my life revolving around landwalker friends rather then my clan..." she bit her lip again, "And yes...It seemed I never really had a choice...it was all I was raised to believe to do in my future."
She sighed, thinking of Thana's elders. She had great dislike for them, even if she barely knew of their treatment of the boil. "I hope you find something entertaining then, hopefully it will be enough to make you think of a life outside of your elders plots." She reached over and squeezed his hand.
"But first we must make it through school first..." She waved her hand, dismissing it. "I find that nowadays, keeping one's life and FEAR is a lot harder to do with the...field trips that Amityville is fond of." Speaking of them, "Were you on the latest one Thana?"

"Is that so?" He couldn't resist grinning at her the moment her face started to redden, as if he knew something she did not, although that wasn't the case. Eventually, he paused, picking up his teacup to take a sip of tea to help wash down the toast, "Ah, that was a few Octobers ago... When I first enrolled into the school."
It didn't seem that long ago, however... Then again, he also became a Knob in the duration of this time.
"Each path we pick leads us somewhere, but it all leads to the present," He mused out loud, the whole 'raised to believe' thing was something he was no stranger to, although he had, somewhere along the way, picked his own path... Little by little. The future shouldn't be a hundred percent predictable. That would be too boring, "Your future is just the present waiting to happen... Nothing is planned, even if your clan thinks it is. Undine... That is the name of your sister, is it not? Perhaps you should speak to her." She seemed much more approachable than his elders, anyway. Talking to them was usually not an option, unless it was very important matters.
"Indeed," He chuckled, patting the back of her hand when she squeezed his, "Remind me which is the 'latest one'?"

"It is so...I think." She looked away, though if she did like a mankini well..."Yes! We had met in the classroom. And then got lost..." She looked away again, fascinated with a spot on his cieling rather then the fact that she continously lost her sense of direction in the school.
"And even you became a knob, on your way to a hob as well!" She blinked at his statement and then cocked her head. Listening to him like a student to a teacher. "Future is present waiting to happen..." She liked the way he put it, her choices now would be what detriemened her future after all, and even when those choices led to her present, she would have to make more for the future.
"Undine...Yes.." she sighed, her sister would be the most acceptable of whatever Amphi wished after all. Her sister had nothing but love for Amphi and that was a strong force itself to be reckoned with...especially when Undine was the reigning queen of the mermaid clan.
"I suppose I could...but I would think it would upset her..." Amphi only assumed this because Undine wanted so badly for Amphi to take it over, even as far as leading her sister into the choice. It was the safest choice for the mermaid after all...
"Ah the latest one, we were turned into minipets..." She frowned, "I was turned into a kirinni...." She looked down, "And we had to battle...It was...Exhausting."
