He was excited for the assbeating he was going to give Freya during the contest they had arranged. They were going to leave and leave the owners of the Buffet weeping into their soup cauldrons. Kettil busily envisioned moments of his gory within his mind as he straightened up his outfit and then called Endzela to perch on his shoulder, which she did with no hesitation.
Kettil paused. He should text Freya perhaps? Naw. She knew that today was the day - she would tell him if there were changes in the plan. Freya had all but promised him this day and now he was going to make sure she was going to follow through.
The Muut stopped in front of the door of the Valkyrie named Freya and gave a firm knock, "Yo! Princess Goldilocks, you ready?"

Freya hadn't spoken to, or seen anyone, since they day they'd re-emerged from the closet. She hadn't even seen Herryk, but it had only been two days. She'd texted him to assure him she was fine, and responded every time he sent one back. But she never could manage to pick up the phone when he called. Eventually, she'd become sullen, and cold. When Kettil knocked on the door, she considered not answering. Instead, she gave him the same courtesy she was offering her beloved - she texted him to let him know she wasn't ready for visitors. Even though he was just outside the door. Pales Text to: Kettil Not really in the mood to see anyone today, Kajika. I'll ttyl.

He'd been about to knock again before he would just abandon the door thinking she was out when suddenly his phone went off and he pulled it out of one of his pouches and stared at the message on the screen. His head slowly tilted toward the side.
Not in the mood to see him? Somehow this hurt him, stung him in his heart. It was almost as bad as saying she never wanted to see him again ever. He felt like a freshly kicked foxfire and his shoulder drooped.
One part wanted to shout and insist he come in, another part just wanted to sit in the hall and have a tantrum, and then a third part just wanted to drag her out anyways. Endzela peered at his face and saw the gears turning and decided to dampen the flames a little, "Text her first before you do anything horrible."
Kettil's face was, for the moment, on a mix of concern and hurt before he nodded and typed up a message. Nio Love Text To: Freya Hey? You alright? What's wrong?

Freya looked at her phone for a good minute, without managing to text back a single word.
What was wrong? She didn't think anything was wrong. She'd never felt so right in her entire life. She was determined, and she just didn't want to .. to get sidetracked.
Like she'd always done.
She put the phone down, and moved towards the door, slowly opening it. She was still wrapped in a big, thick blanket, and her hair was a mess - but it was her eyes, the sunken, flat eyes, that told a wordless story.
"Kajika." She decided not to run. She'd face him, explain herself, and send him away. That was how an adult would handle the situation. "I had a rough few days. I'm trying teh figure some things out. That's all. But as yeh can sees, I'm alive, and I'm fine." That was arguable. "Okays?"

Suddenly the door open and she was there both Muut and Owl stared over at the usually vibrant Valkyrie only to find that an undead had apparently taken over the room - at least until it spoke and it was Freya. Certainly it had to be Freya. She was one of the few that actually knew his true name. He glanced at Endzela then looked over at her.
"I'm sorry you had a rough couple of days," he said his tone was concerned, even his expression was, "if ya want we can reschedule our outing?"
She'd promised him, right? They were going to do this together and it was going to be awesome and wonderful and...
"We can talk about what's botherin' ya, huh?" Kettil was trying to be a good friend.

Freya quirked a brow when she tried to remember what outing he was talking about, until it hit her.
The buffet. The food contest. The food.
Her face crunched up in horror, and if she could have turned green, she would have. The thought of food made her sick to her stomach, and she dropped her head down, trying to calm herself out of retching right there.
"Oh, no, no Hooter. Just no." She shook her head. Her voice sounded like she was trying not to throw up. "I'm never doings that contest with yeh. Just forgets it. Yeh wins, all right? I can't does that anymore. Now yeh go."
She turned away, and her hand slowly looked as though it was closing the door on him.

Never?
The word somehow struck him oddly making his heart squeeze as if she had told him she never wanted to be friends with him - as if denying him competition in some form or just giving up was a sort of betrayal of his trust in her. As she started to close the door a hand moved up to stop the door from closing entirely, "No! Not never. If you're sick then that's fine. Are you sick again Freya? You have a lot digestion issues or something?"
A lot of the time when he chatted with her online she was often sick. This raised concern within him on more than one occassion...
"I .. I can go get you medicine?" Kettil offered softly, Endzela just watched feeling her gizzard sink lower and lower.
"Yes, let us go get you medication if you are ill, love," Endzela offered from her perch.

Freya didn't even bother arguing when he stopped her from closing the door. She didn't feel up to arguing - or pressing the issue. So when he held it open, she just kept walking away, back to her bed, and sat down on it. She curled herself up in her sheets, making sure every inch of her was covered up to her neck, and sighed.
"I'm not sicks, Hooter. I'm fine. I'm better than ever. Really." She tried to sound sure of this. Her eyes were staring at her bed. "I just needs teh figures some things out. And I definitely don't needs teh be eatings.. all that.."
She put her hand to her mouth, as her body heaved, and it was clear she was about to spill over. She ran to the sink, held her hair out, and heaved.
Nothing came. It was mostly saliva and stomach juices, but there was nothing to throw up anymore.

He did what any concerned friend would do he let himself in but he didn't close the door. Endzela left off his shoulders to perch somewhere nearby to watch just in case things went worse. She just wanted to go, maybe it would be alright and...
Kettil watched with horror as Freya ran to the sink and heaved and oddly enough he got a bit of a stomach pang of his own - it was painful to see her this way. His fingertips clutched into fists as he now very carefully avoided talking about food.
"You...you are sick! Let me help you, Jack damn it." Kettil demanded his voice even becoming a bit more firm in his insistance. If she wasn't sick then she wouldn't have just had a dry heave, right? Had she been drinking plenty of fluids? "Y..You aren't better than ever, don't....Don't lie t'me, you promised you never would," he said as he touched on the other thing that was hurting him.
Had he done something wrong? Is that why she didn't trust him to help her? He suddenly felt like his world was being tipped sideways.

"'M not sick." She coughed out, wiping her mouth with the back of her hand before washing it. She then stuck her head under the faucet to grab some water with her mouth, and gargled. She spit it out, and turned to look at him. Her hands dropped her hair, and she sighed dramatically in exasperation.
"I would NEVER lies teh yeh, Hooter. I loves yeh very much, and I am very, very serious when I says I am not sicks, and I AM better than ever." She gave him a weak smile. "I has purpose now, and I'm workings on figuring out how teh achieves my goals. Is a good thing. I promise. It just takes time."
She climbed back to her bed, and quickly covered herself up with her blankets. She couldn't stand the thought of being looked at. But when she saw the worry in his eyes, she rolled her own. "And if yehr worried about me throwings up.. is just because the thoughts of eatings that much-" She heaved, but it calmed before anything happened. ".. that much food, makes me sick."
Her lower lip jutted out. "That's all."

But she said she's not sick but thinking of food makes her sick but she's not sick ....
His mind was busily trying to wrap around this thought process when he just shook his head and his expression became troubled. Purpose?
"What purpose?" Kettil asked his voice pitching a bit oddly. What purpose could include making not sick Freya be sick at the thought of food? This was a horrible purpose whatever it was and he was aiming to not let her get away without answering his questions, "I just...I don't understand Freya, I'm really confused, help a boil out?"
Not like it was difficult to confuse him.

Freya really did not feel like talking. It was clear from the look on her face. Neither could she ever turn Kettil away.. the sweet confused worry in his eyes made her hold her tongue from being too sharp. She slumped and patted her bed, offering him a seat.
"Yeh knows about teh false reapers, dontchyeh? Well, I'm goings teh gets stronger, so that I can fights them." Simple enough. And she stopped there, as if that was enough to explain everything.

He seemed to relax just a little as the moments ticked on by he moved to sit with her on the bed for the time being at her question he gave a small nod, "Y..Yeah, they gave Lark a real bad scare and they were at the Horsemen's lands before it...went down," he said softly.
Kettil was pretty certain the Fake Reapers were to blame for just about everything in the universe, really.
The boil watched his friend before he stared down at his lap, "I jus....y'got me all worked up, Freya, I don't know if I should stay and watch after ya til' Herryk gets over or what," he muttered quietly. It alarmed him that she didn't have her usual healthy glow about her that she seemed as if someone had wrung the life right out of her. It made him scared for her.

"Herryk's not coming over." Freya picked at her blanket, before suddenly pulling it up closer to her neck. Kettil was closer now, after all. "I texted him. He knows I am okays."

His expression seemed to become neutral for a brief moment but he still stared at his lap but then he glanced over at her and wait...
"Are ya cold? You got the chills?" he asked curiously nevermind that Herryk wasn't coming over and the fact that she didn't really cluing him into anything. The Freya he knew never hid her body or covered herself up this way not unless something was wrong or she was sick like she kept trying to deny.
