Age: 18 when he died, but ghostly amnesia coupled with how long it took him to be reaped has rendered him younger mentally.

Faction: Ghost
Race: Heikegani - essentially the ghost of a samurai, reincarnated as a crab.

Natural Ability: Crabby Shapeshift - A heikegani can shapeshift into the crab of the same common name, with a samurai faces on its shell. Other than being possessed and therefore intelligent, it is essentially a normal crab - no ghostly abilities.


Personality: Those who earn his trust will find Mori to be a loyal friend who is generally eager to help, particularly with physical tasks. He fancies himself a bit of a white knight, which, coupled with Mori's great confidence in his abilities, leads to lapses of common sense. Nonetheless, he will try to offer advice to his friends when he can, even when he knows something is out of his realm of expertise. The most powerful lingering memory for Mori of his human life is a feeling of leaving something important unfinished, and having let down people who were counting on him, and covers up this constant insecurity by being helpful to his friends, or occasionally prickly to strangers. Mori has a black and white view of the world, which makes him tend to be judgmental and somewhat quick to anger. In general, though, Mori enjoys being in the company of others, and also likes to keep (meta?)physically busy. True, this means he enjoys exercise and sports, but it also means when he has to sit in class, he tends to fidget, tap, and squirm. He is also afraid of lemons, butter, and lemon butter, but has no idea why.

Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy? Mori spent a long time being spiritually reincarnated as a crab before his soul was reaped and brought to Halloween. He feels like he has been out of the loop for a while (though of course he has no concept of for how long, or why), so school seemed like a logical place to start getting back up to speed again. Also maybe a good place to try to figure out what to do about that nagging feeling of unfinished duty, too.

FEAR Ability: Y1: O-yoroi Armor - (The Barrier) Morifune can toughen his samurai armor to protect against an attack.


Physical Description:

Eye Colour: Black with bruising around them.
Hair Colour/Style: Black, stringy, and in a loose ponytail. Some strands float around him like he's still underwater.
Skin Colour: Pale with a bluish tinge in places; he drowned.
Clothing Style/Colours: Traditional samurai robes and armor; a cloth hat like in first ref with a metal crab crest at the forehead. The cloth and the rattan armor was once brightly-colored and patterned, but the tide at Shimonoseki where he died doesn't protect colors; Mori's clothes are faded and tattered, and, like his hair, occasionally float as though underwater.
Extra: Ghostly and wispy except for the crab crest on his hat. I figure his armor can get more elaborate as he advances in his schooling? He lost all of his weaponry when he drowned and sank to the bottom of the sea.
