Whatever Mitsu had been expecting it wasn't this. All around her the minipets in her presence were meeting up with their mirror images and she was no exception.

"Hey You!" Came the bark of a voice, familiar and yet not a tone she would ever use.

Mitsu turned and saw her reflection, or at least it would have been if there had been a mirror. Instead this was her likeness in every way except for the odd distortion around the mini. It advanced toward her, confident and knowing.

"Why are you ignoring the call?" The mini asked. "Can you not hear the shards? Everyone here sees it, hears it, even Shun knows. They give us purpose. The shards make us whole."

Mitsu shook her head backing up from the oddly distorted mini. "N..no the shards are making people crazy. Shun's not himself." She tried to argue.

The doppelganger laughed. A cruel and cold sound that looked eerie coming from the muzzle of a dog. "Is he really or does he finally see you for what you are? A weakling," The ghost dog barked the word to give it more force making Mitsu back up a step further as if it were a physical blow. "Maybe you should stop being a nuisance, you're only in the way anyway. Shun certainly thinks so."

"N..No! H-he's not thinking clearly," Though it seemed Mitsu was having a hard time believing it herself now. Doubt was starting to settle in. Had it all just....been pretend up until now?

"You're obviously the one not thinking clearly. Shun heard the call, the song of the shards, how could you expect him to care about someone who ignores them? They give us power. You...you are nothing more than a useless pile of fur in his eyes."

"NO!" Mitsu yelled it this time lashing out at her mirror image trying to make the mini go away. She didn't want to hear anymore. It was a lie. It had to be. "Go away!"

This time it was Mitsu who yelped as she was thrown to the ground, the fangs of the other mini having pierced bits of her skin at the back of her neck. Blood began to seep through in spots staining her white fur with bits of crimson.

"No, I just want to go home!" Mitsu yelled as she stood up, snapping at the other ghost dog's feet as they advanced again. "I don't want anything to do with the shards. I just want to get Shun and go home!"

It didn't take much for the other ghost dog to take her down, strong jaws closing around her neck to keep her pinned against the ground. Mitsu struggled to regain her footing but only managed to wrench her neck more.

"STOP IT!" She barked, using her back legs to kick out at the other mini to send them flying. That was all it took, before the other ghost dog hit the ground it was gone, dissipating in mid air into nothing. It as in that moment everything seemed to make sense. This was a warning. Trying to achieve the shards would only bring about madness.

Flashes of light and color played across her vision, a scene from a forest and the battle between light and darkness before she could feel a path before her. It was the way home and she hoped to Jack Shun would be there and back to normal.
