Rot? He wasn't going to be rotting! Deryk felt like he should show that pink pony who the real boss is. Or rather, who the real hero of the world shall be. Before he could really make any moves, he was approached by a strangely colored hooded fox. It looked like him otherwise. "Out of my way. I have a world to save," he warned. The Distorted Deryk only snarled in return. "Save the world? HAH. You can barely save yourself. And now you will die for it. Yes.""We'll see about that." Deryk frowned before making a swipe at the distorted version of himself. Meanwhile, Tooley seemed very amused to be seeing a sort of doppleganger here. The Distorted Fox hissed and recoiled from the smack he took, then got into a battle-ready stance. The three tails were waving around in the air slowly as he stared down the other. "You should have answered the call. You need the extra power. If you did before, maybe you wouldn't have lost your finger and a result. Yes. You're a worthless hunter. "No! You're lying. I am the goddamn chosen one! I have all the power I need," Deryk growled as he went on to pounce the other fox. He was striking harder this time around, ready to tear into this dopplegangar to show him just who is the weak one. Tooley was kind of sad to be beating up a doppleganger really. After letting out a yelp from the strikes, the distorted fox pushed himself back to his feet before staring down the real one. "Of course you would think that. You just keep fooling yourself. Now. It wasn't as effective on the real Deryk though. After that lame attempt of an attack, the hunter let out a laugh. "Hah! Real power. Yeah right. Like I said, I have all the power I need," he retorted before attempting to bite down onto the other fox's face. It barely nipped the fur of the other. "No. You're the one that isn't anything. Now go away and let me save the ******** world," Deryk frowned as he bit down onto the doppleganger one last time. As he did so, the enemy disappeared and everything ended in what felt like an instant. His mind became more clear and well, he could have sworn he saw a vision. It was brief, and it seemed a little odd at first, with the lake and the two figures battling it out. And yet, there was something familiar about this scene too. Was that Merlin? Then that would have to be Excalibur... These were the last thoughts before he was whisked away into his true body back in the island. Was it all just a dream?
