EDIT: I've been trying to stay more consistent and I'd like to standardize the type of knife I carry. For many reasons I think I will be settling on the ARC(SOG),axis(Benchmade), or spring/ball-bearing(in Spyderco's case) lock type.
Since it's summer and most of the clothes I'm wearing is of "lighter" build I've choosen to carry my BM 530 99% of the time. I find I can't really go wrong with this knife for EDC purposes.

I also had a mishap with the lock on my Mini Aegis(ended up cutting myself). I'll try to go more into this at a later time once I figure out what is wrong with the lock if I even can manage to.

I'll leave what I already wrote down below since most of it still applies.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For me if wearing pants I like to carry a folding knife which is less then 4oz. But prefer to carry a knife under 3oz.

If wearing shorts I like a knife which is under 2.5oz but especially under or around 2oz. This usually means the SOG Flash I or Mini Aegis(Especially if I want low pocket carry) or the Benchmade 530. Perhaps the Spyderco Delica.

If I know I'm going to get my folding knife really dirty I'll take a Benchmade AXIS lock knife or a SOG ARC lock knife because they are so easy to clean and maintain. So for Benchmade a 530 meets all my requirements being AXIS and having a weight of under 2oz. Other options would be the BM Mini Grip(2.65oz), 940(2.85oz), mini Presido Ultra(3.08oz) or 111H2O(but it's a bit heavy at (4.88oz). For SOG this means the Visionary I(2.9oz), Visionary II (4.2oz)Mini Vulcan(3.6oz), Mini Spec Elite(2.93oz) Or if I want a really strong, easy to clean and fast access SOG I'll take a Pentagon Elite I(4.3oz).

If I think the knife will stay more or less clean I'll take just about any knife. Liner Lock, SAT(assist) AXIS, ARC or Lockback. I really like some CRKT liner locks such as and M-16 13T or 01KZ The Fire Spark is so cool but It's a serious knife and heavy at 5.2oz. I also love the Hissatsu 2 especially great for low pocket carry. The Benchmade Styker is a really sooo cool with G10 handles and titanium Nitrous assist liner lock. Cold steel Tilite is nice but I don't carry it too often(It's also pocket assisted if you practice a lot you'll be an expert at it).

If I want to have quick access to my blade I'll take a pocket assisted opening knife with an Emerson wave or pin. This usually I'll usually take a Spyderco Delica wave, Endura Wave or P'Kal.

I'm not sure I could choose a favorite edc. But the Benchmade 530 would come close. Though another fantastic choice is the SOG Mini Aegis(also good for low pocket carry if you don't want to advertise the you're carrying a knife(I get the goes for any SOG SAT assist knife like the Flask I and 2 Trident etc). There are so many great knives to choose from and I like to rotate my edc. surprised

Nice choice my friend! The Rahjah III looks to be strong and nice recurve on the blade which some find difficult to sharpen though I've no problem with it. The assisted pocket opener must be knice as well, that's one of the main reasons I like my Spyderco Delica/edura waves and my P'Kal
Do you have the large or small Rajah III?

Lately because of the hot weather I`ve been wearing shorts or so either the SOG Mini Aegis, Benchmade 530 or SOG Flask I. In order of heaviest to lightest. But all 2oz or less. biggrin

Small? The III is the small version. You might be thinking of the II as the large version.

Ah ok. guess your right about that. sweatdrop
I usually prefer the small/mini versions of knives. Today I carried the SOG mini Trident. I usually don't carry assisted openers very often though.

I'm not good with names, but I know what mine looks like.
It's a short blade, maybe 2 in. long. it's curved like the guild picture (the one we put in our signatures) But the handle is different. It folds over the blade and clips when closed, and when opened it's about 4 in. long.

I'm sorry I can't say what it looks like^^;

oh btw. if you are thinking this as an investment. I don't think itr will go up in value very much. As it only cost under $30 to buy when it was available. Then there is a knife like the titanium handled Benachmade42 (featured in the smash hit KICKASS) which would currently in gooD condition or brand new fetch atleast $900+.however the price of the BM42 when it was in production was over 320$.

I'm new to knives but...
I bought a knife from some dude at a festival ($3). The blade says Rostfrei* Barracuda but I've only found one thing confirming that xd

I was going to carry it but the clip decided to break for absolutely no reason and fall off into my friend's van stare

*From what I've heard alone, I would not normally buy a Rostfrei but it was $3, worst case scenario, I could have bought taco bell instead

yah I wouldn't be too surprised to have a clip break on a 3 dollar knife. When I first got into knives I think the cheapest one I carried was around $15. Right now I have in my pocket a knife which sells for over $150 new. xd
