It had been two months since that time.. Nix lost her home and her adoptive parents in a unfortunate event. At first the poor girl tried to live on her own but her friend Kusuri caught wind of it. After the violet haired girl.. Kindly offered her a place to stay she couldn't refuse. No really Nix couldn't refuse Kusuri's offer. So after being dragged to her new temporary home Nix had to readjust to her new life. At first it was very awkward and hard for the white haired girl to get used to her new surroundings but over the two months things have gotten better. Her previous bad study habits that would keep up ungodly hours of the night have loosened their hold and she was getting the average rest one would need. The recent peaceful days made it possible.

It was now early morning, time to start getting ready for school. Nix was up and dressed for school already since she had a plan. At the moment she was preparing a simple yet efficient breakfast for the residents of the household. A happy melody could be heard coming from the kitchen as Nix was cooking up some eggs and bacon, bread ready to go into the toaster when people start filing in. The girl was humming to herself as she was focusing on her task.

Nix jumped a little when a familiar voice caught her ears, bringing her out of her deep concentration. "Oh! Good morning, Kusuri. Well I only have this much energy because I'm not used to getting this much rest still so I feel very energized. Though.. You are right about Faust needing to be more active in the morning. Maybe an alarm clock would help." She said getting back to what she was doing before the food could burn. The girl knew better than to try and argue against Kusuri when she offered help, either way she was going to win. "Thank you for helping.. Oh! I was up a bit earlier than normal today so I made everyone a lunch. I hope that's okay." This was one of her smaller ways of paying Kusuri back for everything she's done for her. Now that the snow haired thought about it she really did owe the purple haired teammate a lot. Kusuri was one of the people who helped her the night Kazuma and the other Messiahs attacked. She also aided her in the fight against the army man in Tartarus, so it was a bit of a list.. "Um.. If you or Faust need help with homework I'll be more than happy to assist you. I should remember the lessons from last year."

Faust must've been one heavy sleeper if an alarm clock couldn't wake him. It was a machine specifically made to wake a sleeping person from their rest. Oh well, as long as the green haired male made it to school she wouldn't try to adjust his sleeping habits, it wasn't her place anyway. "There's no need to thank me, Kusuri. It's the least I can do after all you've done for me. Besides, I always make my own lunches to take to school. Gives me something to do in the early morning." The girl answered as the two finished cooking breakfast. Nothing got burned or overcooked, a good way to start the day. "Then if Faust needs help you can tell him he can ask me for help if you are too busy yourself. I remember you getting very high scores." The snow haired student grabbed herself a small plate of breakfast and ate some food before cleaning her plate afterwards. "Oh! I should get going. It's the start of the new term so I want to get there early just in case. Please let the others good morning for me? I'll see you at school."

Nix grabbed her school bag, slipped on her shoes and left the home. Perhaps the day would go smoothly like it has been for the past weeks.

When Nix finally arrived home the Dark Hour had fallen upon them, luckily she made it back in one piece. Though she had started feeling a touch ill on her way back, she wasn't sure what it was but perhaps she just needed to rest. The girl set the Ganmadoki in the kitchen and headed to the guest room where she was staying. 'A slight light headed feeling.. and a touch of nausea. I'll study a little and get some sleep.' The girl sat down at the table after grabbing her books and started her usual routine.. Though it was always a little hard to focus with the Dark Hour lingering.

'Maybe if I don't make any noises Kusuri won't find and kill me..' This is what Nix when she slowly sneaked into the residence. It wasn't until she made it back home that she realized that her purple haired friend would be furious if she learned about her lack of sleep.. Especially after that fight. So she quickly scampered to the guest room to look for a clean change of clothes. "I hope Faust and Kusuri are okay after all that.. I shouldn't have run off like that so soon. Hope they aren't angry." The snowy haired girl stopped to take a look at the bottoms of her feet, just now recalling that she ran all that way barefooted.. And the proof of that was clear as day. Small cuts and bruises could be seen on the bottom of her feet. 'Well.. look at the bright side. The others aren't going to randomly inspect your feet and it looks worse than it feels.. for now.'

Nix jumped a little when Faust came too and sort of ask who was there. He still sounded half-asleep so the girl remained silent as she sneaked off to get washed up. Though she did think about somethings while in there. Kusuri and Faust where passed out in the living room, they must've not had the energy to head all the way to their room. After that draining battle she woke one of them up by entering the home.. Maybe she was overstaying her welcome by now.. It had been a few months.

After getting dressed in clean clothes Nix gathered what few things she had, which was just her book bag, school supplies and some few articles of clothing. 'I have some money at least.. I should be fine.' The snowy haired girl wrote a small note and slipped it on the living room table before stepping out. It was a rather simple note that read, 'Thanks for everything and I'm sorry.'
