Cian moved through the fields with his guitar in hand. He cared for his family, but like the milder of his two fathers, Donovan, he had to get out and play music. A small smirk played on his features as he saw a large stump. He took a seat there and let himself take in his surroundings. The forest was to his left and there didn't seem to be anyone around. It was perfect. Cian settled his guitar in his lap and began to strum calmly creating a soft melody that surrounded him in peace.

It was a beautiful morning. Not one that anyone should stay stuck inside. The green splotched stallion already had a list of things he needed to get done for the day. Currently he was heading towards his favorite chopping stump with a large load of logs on his back. Though as he neared his favorite chopping log he heard something stopped him in his tracks. It was not a something he had heard before apart from the one festival he had gone to months ago.
With an ax in one hand and the other hand holding a net full of large logs he entered into the clearing and saw a pale stallion sitting atop his log playing an instrument and producing a gentle tune that filled the clearing with life. It looked like his chopping might be put on hold but at least it was for a good reason.

Music filled his ears lungs and heart as he played and a serene smile played on his face. Music was the one thing that truly made him comfortable and could always calm him down when he was having, what Donovan called a "Jacob Moment." Slowly he opened his eyes expecting to see an empty clearing. Instead he saw a large male with an ax and a sack. Stunned, the music ended. Cian stood from the stump still looking at the stallion before him. Like his fathers, Cian was attracted to males, but only a distaste for women. This lageil was very handsome. He shook his head slightly and found his voice, "How long have you been standing there."

Grunblawu was a bit shocked when the music suddenly stopped. He stared at the shocked and embarrassed stallion trying to figure out how the music stopped. He looked at the guitar and figured it had something to do with that. When the warm voice of the stallion reached him the green stallion looked up at the sun then back down at the other. "Not very long. I did not mean to ease drop on you sir. I have never heard music here before. I...was a bit stunned." His voice was slow and low but gentle enough. "I can always come back if I am bothering you." he said motioning his ax back the way he came.

"No, no, it's fine. I was just looking for a place to play my guitar...." The males voice was rich and kind. He set his guitar down gently and motioned at the ax. "It seems like I'm the one intruding here, but would you mind if I stuck around here. I don't want to go back into town just yet." The other reason was that he was curious about the male that stood before him since he wasn't one to socialize very often.

Grunblawu shakes his head, "No you are more than welcome to stay here. I do not own this land so please feel free to stay here all you like." He walked forward towards the pale male and set his large sack of wood down near the stump. "I have never seen someone play the guitar before. You must be quite amazing to be able to to play such a thing." He smiled at the handsome stallion.

Cian felt himself beam with pride at the compliment. Thank you. My father taught me how to play. Well one of my father's... If you like I could play while you work." His ego had been comfortably stroked. Being told that he was a talented musician would make Donovan proud. He looked at the ax and the net of wood then to the stump behind him. He could see the grooves from where the ax had hit. He picked up his guitar and moved over to the side. "Don't let me stop your work."

Grunblawu raised a brow. He did not know that a Mearh could have two fathers. Surely Cian had been born from a mare. But he did not think it was right to ask. "Would you really play for me? Wont my chopping both you?" He asked turning his steal eyes to look at the dark pools of Cian's. As the other moved the strong stallion picked up his sack and carried it over towards the stump before setting it back down. "Are you sure I wont bother you?"

"It's no problem at all." Cian moved over to the side far enough to be safe and yet still watching the larger male. He wanted to see the stallion work. Anatomy of the body fascinated him, so being able to examine the muscles as they moved was an opportunity he wouldn't miss. "My name is Cian, by the way, what is yours?"

Grunblawu looked for a moment shocked at Cian. He was clearly not used to someone asking his name. He looked down at his ax and then knelt down to pick up and place his first long. His body was good for looking at muscle. he had very short fur and was very muscular. "My name is Grunblawu Cian sir." he said softly and shifted to lift the ax over his head and with a slow breath he brought it down in a prefect arc to hit the log dead on.

Cian's mouth went slightly dry at the sight of that single movement. He forced himself to stop staring at the display before him and sat in the grass. "It's nice to meet you Grunblawu, and you can just call me Cian if you want to." Focus on your music, don't stare at the stallion... even if he is a vision of masculinity... Cian's fingers slowly began to move on the strings, a soft melody echoing from the instrument and soon the young stallion was lost once again in the tune,

Grunblawu was clueless to the internal conflict going on in Cian's mind. He just loaded up another log to slice. He was so impressed as he heard the music started back up. Though it was different than before. It seemed for a moment that the younger stallion was a bit out of tune but then it picked up and Grunblawu heard the beautiful sound that had stopped him before. Though this time with the beautiful music there was the periodic thunk of him splitting wood. With out knowing it he had fallen into a bit of a rhythm with Cian's music. He was still so very impressed with how beautiful Cian could play. Music was like magic to him so Cian was amazing.
Grunblawu contined to chop until two thirds the pile was down and his body glinted with a thick coat of sweat.

Cian slowed the tune to a stop when the rhythmic thunk of the wood chopping disappeared. It had been an interesting type of harmony and he wanted it to keep going. He opened his eyes to ask Grunblawu why he had paused. The stallion was drenched in sweat from his work and Cian could not help himself from staring at a particular bead that rolled it's way down his side and leg. He felt his heart pounding in his chest, then dizziness, then he saw nothing but white.

Grunblawu had just been able to get a drink when he heard the music stop. He had been able to go so much longer without a break with such beautiful music playing. He turned to look over at Cian only to see the pale male grown even paler, swoon, and pass out.
Gasping the taller stallion rushed over to Cian's side and he felt of Cian's head and then carefully picked the other stallion and his guitar up. He would come back for the logs and his ax. Right now getting the younger stallion somewhere safer was more important.
It did not take him long, for Grunblawu to carry Cian back to his little shack in the woods. he had laid the pale stallion down on his bed and placed a cool rag over the pale forehead then headed back out to get his ax and some longs. There was a very small fire going to provide light inside. The bed was surprisingly comfortable and almost too large for the room. Cian lay one the plain cloth sheets but at the foot of the bed was a thick fur blanket. The air was think of the scent of nature and stallion.

After a while a soft groan came from Cian as he began to come to. Something was wrong though. This wasn't his bed... and the last thing he remembered was watching Grunblawu... Cian eyes snapped open as he sat up and looked around. He was on an overly large bed and when he looked out of a small window he was in the forest. He groaned and held his head. The good thing was that was the only part of him that hurt. So with no other alternative, Cian grabbed his guitar and began to play as he waited for his host to return.
