So... This was it. She was actually going to do this... She and Nergui had been dropped off at the mall, and Gemini was sitting on needles. She wasn't nervous because she was at the mall. It was why she was at the mall that had her hiding behind her bangs. It was shopping day. Nergui was here to help her buy make-up so that she could pretty herself up a bit to.. to.. Oh, just thinking of it sent her belly fluttering with butterflies!
Biting her lip, she looked up at Nergui. "You'll be with me the whole time, right?" The ladies at the make-up stations scared her, looking so perfect and calling out to you even though you're simply passing by. So overbearing... whether or not they actually were. She'd never bought make-up before though, and since she was buying it for such an important reason...

Stepping out of the car, Nergüi shook her head. Her hair was down for once and was all wavy from being in buns and braids all the time. "Of course." She replied rolling her eyes. She didn't understand how Gemini could be so nervous about the make-up ladies. "Come on let's go." She said grabbing hold of the wheelchair handlebars and pushing her friend.

Since Nergui seemed content to push her along, Gemini was free to let her gaze and mind wander. The make-up station came into view soon enough though, and she sank into the chair a little. No! She couldn't be acting like this! It was for a special cause! She was buying cosmetics... so that she could look a little better for her confession. Very soon, she was hoping.. that maybe.. Conan might be her boyfriend. The very thought made her squeak in delight out loud! ...and that just flustered her further, making her cover her face with her hands.

Nergüi quickly pushed Gem through the mall and to a store that she thought would fit Gem in the way of cosmetics. She rolled her up to the make-up counter and waited for someone to appear to help them. She looked down at Gem when she made a squeak. "What? Are you that excited to get some make-up?" She asked with a grin.

Glancing up at Nergui with a pink face, she ducked quickly back down. "Umm... yes." She said, trying to tell herself that this was a good thing. This would help her be a little more confident when she finally went up to Conan...
A woman with a head of huge auburn curls bounced up to the counter. "Well! What kin ah do fer ya lovely ladies?" She asked enthusiastically, grinning at the two teens. She'd seen them around the mall before, so wasn't too surprised by their appearances when they showed up at her counter.
Gemini looked up at the woman, and blushed even further. "....I-I-I need some make-up." She said softly, trying to be more confident than she felt. Just in the counter display case alone, there were so many kinds to choose from! How overwhelming....

Nergüi smiled and shook her head. Hearing a new voice she looked up and grinned widely. "Yes she needs some make-up. Just something light to help highlight her natural looks. You see there's a boy." She leaned closer and had whispered the last sentence as if conspiratorially. She was truly enjoying this.

Eyes lighting up, the worker giggled at Gemini's shyness. How cute. Her grin lit further at Nergui. "Ah! Ah see." She said softly, nodding with a little wink. "Ah'ight, young miss!" She said, straightening up and looking at Gemini, she tried her most comforting smile. "Ah'm gonna hafta see that face if ah'ma gonna git some make-up fer ya."
Gemini blushed brightly and ducked further. "Nergui..." She mumbled, mixing between being utterly bashful and being pleased about why she was there. Looking up at the worker, she gulped and slowly cleared the hair from her face.
Inspecting Gemini's features and colors carefully, she suddenly smiled brightly. "Ah be guessin' ya don't be needin' any color fer ya cheeks." She laughed as that caused the pale face to brighten more. "Don'tchya worry. Ah got ya covered." She turned and started walking over to a particular station with make-up in neutral colors. "Laike this heah?"

Nergüi smiled and leaned against the counter. "What Gem? It's the truth." She replied. She walked over to the neutral colors and then back to Gem. "Yeah I think this would work.... but do you have any that are waterproof?" She asked, "She spends a lot of time in the water so having make-up that won't run would be great."

"All watah proof?" The woman scratched her chin, nodding slowly. "Ah'm pretty shor we got sumthin' laike that." She walked back to the other counter and started flipping through a thick book. "Let's trai ovah heah." She chirrped, scooting to another display case. "These heah be the best fah watah proofin."
Slowly, Gemini followed after the two. She didn't know what most of this stuff was for! When they got to the water-proof set, she cleared her throat softly. "Could you.. show me how to put it on?"
The woman lit up again. "Deah, Ah would be dee-laighted!" She pulled out a few shades of different things, and guided the girls over to a well lit counter with mirrors. "Ya just relax now, an' Ah'll show ya how it's done!" Then she went about applying a little at a time, narrating her every move for the teens. When she was done, she looked over at Nergui. "Ya laike?"

"Preferably." Nergüi replied. She followed after the lady and watched as she applied the make-up. As she had told Gem she had some useful things to say about how to do things. Once she was done she inspected Gem with a frown. Once she was done she stood back and grinned. "She looks wonderful! Thank you so much." She said. Now if she could talk Gem into getting a different top and maybe getting her hair cut and styled. It was almost like having a giant mermaid barbie doll.

She tried paying attention to the woman, but it was like her face was changing before her very eyes. The woman really didn't apply all that much, but... Cheeks bright without any false blush, she watched Nergui inspect her warily. Ah! The final verdict! She sank into her chair with relief before strightening back up. "Th-thank you, ma'am."
"Aww, ya welcome, dahlin'." She cooed, rather pleased with her work. "Ah'm shor yer boy will be mightily pleased." Laughing again at Gem's shy nature, she looked over to Nergui. "Will that be all, or be ya gettin' sumthin' as well?"

Nergüi smiled at Gem and then the lady. "This will be all. Thank you again. I'll make sure I come here when I need to get done up for my guy." She said with a wink. She then walked away expecting Gem to take care of getting her own make-up. After this she would ask about trolling the mall and maybe getting Gem a new top.

Looking at the new supplies she was getting, she felt rather surreal as she handed over the payment. She really was doing this... Thanking the woman profusely, she hurried after Nergui. She could almost feel the make-up on her skin. She supposed she was just being self-conscious of its presence though. "Well... that wasn't so bad." She said softly as she joined her friend's side. "Would you like to stop anywhere else?"

"Of course! We should go look at some clothes, just window shopping if you want." Nergüi replied with a grin, "I can always use more clothes and a new top couldn't hurt you, could it?" She walked behind her friend and began pushing her into the main part of the mall. She looked around and walked slowly so Gem could also look. "If you see a store you want to check out, just say so."

A new top? Could she-?! She pulled her lip to chew on it nervously, but immediately tasted the lipstick and let go. It tasted weird.. Maybe it would help her to stop gnawing on her lip, at the least! "I.. maybe a new top.. would be nice." She agreed, slowly feeling herself straighten up again. "Maybe.. I'll get one of those nice ones. For just out of the water." She giggled softly. "I'll just have to remember I'm wearing it before going into the pond." She looked up at Nergui. "...I think you know clothes better than I do. You can suggest anything you think would work, too."
