The weather was fairly nice outside so Mitsu found herself laying on her stomach in the grass of the main yard of the school reading a book and enjoying the cool breeze. On days like this she used to come out and play with Meela and chase a ball around but it had been a long while since the minipet had been re-homed and Milo wasn't much for playing with a creature one hundred times bigger than he was. The poor boafox ran for cover at the slightest glimpse of Mitsu's true form.
No matter, Mitsu enjoyed reading just as much but the thought of playing ball still lingered in her mind. In fact, a brand new tennis ball sat beside her and Mitsu absentmindedly rolled it through the grass with one hand while she read. The story she was reading was obviously enthralling, her tail wagging idly behind her and at times picking up pace when she got to a rather exciting part.

Okay, how to go about this. Candace had to find Mitsu that was for sure. While not blowing her cover. How to...do this. She couldn't just ask around for Mitsu again like last time, that had been the easiest part. No, she had to do this right. Someone maybe--
...Wait.
Candace blinked, stopping a short distance away from the girl laying in the grass. Her eyes--er..eye widened at the sight. White ears, white hair..were her eyes red? She couldn't tell from here. A fluffy white tail.
It's her. Oh my god.
This was too easy. Her eye narrowed, looking all around for some sign of Shun. Any second now he would show up and attack, right?
Nothing happened.
She grinned, at least until her jaw popped out again. She cursed under her breath and popped it back into place. Candace moved to hide behind a tree, rubbing at her jaw. How to approach her. How did she feel about undead? Because Candace found zombies pretty ******** annoying. She peeked around the tree with her good eye, lips pouted. If Mitsu felt the stare all she would see would be a tiny, four-foot-tall zombie boil peeking shyly from around the tree. He had about half his face, one eye functional and the other one just an empty socket, and some of his skin was rotted off. He didn't have much hair either.
God she hated this golem.

A vicious sword fight was fast under way. Vampirates were flooding the deck weapons in hand to meet their new enemy who had invaded their ship to steal their most recently acquired bounty. The captain, a tall vampire of middle age who was missing an eye with a long scar down his cheek drew forth his sword and.....
Mitsu caught the scent of something a little off first, her ears twitching at the faintest sound not far away. She finally peeled her eyes away from her book to have a look around her initial sweep missing the zombie boil peeking around a tree.
When everything seemed to be in order Mitsu shrugged lightly to herself before turning back to her book, her hand still rolling her orange and black tennis ball around in the grass. Her eyes seemed to be locked on her current page with intense interest, her eyes growing wider with each word.

Mitsu looked up and Candace's eye widened. It was really her. She found her right off the bat. This was too ******** perfect.
And she was alone.
Now, how to handle this? She had to work with what she had. Mitsu seemed nice. Maybe trusting? She was a tiny zombie boil. Did they have racism here? Did she not acknowledge the zombie's presence other than a glance because whatever she was hated zombies?
...Maybe if she played the part of a shy zombie boil. She was tiny and uh..'adorable'? It could work.
Candace quietly crept closer, a bony finger pressed against the zombie boil's lips. Shy, meek, quiet. Her gaze fell to the ball that Mitsu was playing with. The urge to snort was great in this one. Of course. A dog playing with a ball. How fitting.
She crept closer still, slowly and 'shyly'.

...The captain swung from the top of the main mast back into the fray, his sword clenched firmly in his fist as he swung it downward like a pendulum taking out a line of pirates in a single go. He let go of the rope and landed on the balls of his feet, not unlike a cat, and began to advance the main foe. The devilish Red Eye who easily hurled three of his men overboard with the single swing of his fist. The brutish man turned and....
Once again Mitsu heard the shuffling of feet and looked up this time to spot the zombie boil making his way toward her....shyly. Why was he advancing so slowly? Maybe it was a zombie thing. Aside from Moure they weren't often noted for their speed.
"Umm....hello?" Mitsu greeted pushing herself up onto her knees. Her ears tilted this way and that as she stared at the boil curiously from her position. Was he nervous?

Good, now she really had the ghoul's attention. The little zombie boil gasped and quickly hid behind the tree, peeking the good half of his face around with a wide eye as he clutched desperately at the tree. Now for the hard part. Mitsu knew her voice. "H..hi.." She replied quietly, keeping her voice at a higher pitch than she normally spoke with. It was reasonable considering the zombie's tiny stature; it shouldn't have a manly voice. "Sorry if..um...I bothered you. I was just...um..w-well I...uh.." A shame she wasn't something living. Perhaps a bit of blushing would help her little act. Oh well, couldn't win everything.

Mitsu wasn't quite sure how to react when the zombie boil dove behind a tree as if trying to hide. She had never quite invoked fear in her normal student state but he was small. Maybe he was just...timid by nature?
"I...It's alright you don't have to hide." Dog earing the page she was on Mitsu closed her book and set her ball beside it and left both articles on the lawn as she stood and dusted off her knees. She kept a watchful eye on the zombie, casually sniffing at the air trying to determine the scent. It was somehow familiar, a little earthy perhaps? Though she was just laying in the grass so it was hard to say.
"Are...you new?" It was possible the zombie was new to campus and lost and needed help. Mitsu could remember how shy she was when she first came to Amity. "I'm Mitsu by the way." She greeted, smiling in a cheerful way hoping to ease the boil back out from behind his tree.

Mitsu spoke to her--him again! To him! Oh goodness oh dear oh me oh my~! Candace wanted to gag at that train of thought, resisting the urge to scowl and roll her eyes before she moved closer. At Mitsu's question and introduction the little zombie boil stepped out from behind the tree, poiting the tips of his index fingers together and ducking his head. "H-hi. Um...yes..I just..uh...I'mKane." 'Kane' would be blushing if such a thing could have been possible for 'him'.
"I don't...actually go here yet I just...I wanted to see what this place is like before I...um..you'reverypretty." 'Kane's' eye widened and he cleared his throat. "So, uh, you're Mitsu?"

"Kane?" Mitsu smiled brightly waiting patiently for the zombie to speak only to be caught off guard by his soft spoken compliment. The smile shifted to something shy, pink blooming across her cheeks as her gaze shifted downward. "Oh umm.." Her hand reached up to fidget with the mask at the side of her head like she was contemplating pulling it in front of her face. "T..thank you."
When he continued she nodded to confirm her name nervous eyes looking at the only eye the zombie seemed to possess. "Yes, that's right....So....so you wanted to see what Amityville Academy was like before you came?" It was a shift in subject she hoped would hold. "Do you need help finding anything?" She just had to tell herself she wasn't as shy with new people as she used to be. Mitsu wanted to be helpful after all.

Kane was such a stupid name why did she pick that. His eye was drawn to the mask when Mitsu reached for it, watching curiously as she pulled on it as if she was going to wear it over her face for just a moment. Eh? Oh, didn't she have that mask on before, too? Was it a part of her? Curious.
The zombie's attention drifted from her mask at the question and he grinned carefully. There was the tension of his jaw threatening to unhinge again, something he made evidence by rubbing that spot. Don't fall out again, stupid. "Yeah! I figure right now is as good a time as ever...um...well I know where the dorms are now. Someone was nice enough to show me that. Maybe um...things you find fun?" Gain her trust, then drop the bomb.

"Uh, Sure!" That smile was back as she released her mask and let her hands idle at her sides. "I like to go to the library so I can show you that and there is a garden by the reaper dorms that's really nice." Stooping down Mitsu picked up her book and ball before motioning Kane to follow her. She seemed to have no trouble playing tour guide, showing the boil around campus to some of the places she liked to go.
When they came to the end of their little tour Mitsu motioned toward the last thing she wanted to show him. "And that's the gym. That's where we train and do battles. We also have a pool and quite a lot of other things to do. We also have a fitness club but its been rather....quiet as of late." Though that was most likely due to Riley and her current situation. The ghoul seemed a little out of sorts.

Score one for Candy. Ooh, library? Garden? Sounded nice. Kane grinned a bit more as he watched Mitsu stand and followed her lead, taking careful note of everything she said and did. Hey, this information could be useful in the future. She was especially interested in her mannerisms. Things she could use to her advantage. Anything at all.
Kane looked especially interested in the mention of 'training' and 'battles'. Really, now? They actually trained? She knew they couldn't be trusted.
What if they train simply to defend against Hunters? Kane rolled his eye quietly to himself.
You know damn well that isn't the case. Atropos simply chuckled.
Suddenly Mitsu mentioned something somewhat strange. Why did it matter that a club was quiet? "Oh yeah? Why's that?"

"Oh umm..." Mitsu wasn't sure how much of this was secret. The whole school knew what happened so there was no harm in telling Kane was there? Maybe if she kept the information vague. "Our President was in a bit of a situation and was gone for a while. She came back but she's different and hasn't been doing much with the club right now while she catches up with everything." Mitsu supposed that would suffice. She still had no idea the extent of Riley's memory loss, she just thought the experience was traumatizing enough to forget.
"So what do you think? The classes can be interesting and I like a lot of the teachers. And between you and me if you ever take a Savage class remember to wear a poncho." There was never not water in that class.....except for one time.
"If you have an minis maybe we can have a play date? Milo likes to meet new minis and Tobi really likes to play."

A situation..huh. Curiouser and curiouser. "That's a shame! Hopefully things work out, yeah?" All the positives. Yes. Kane totally felt sympathetic. That was what was happening here. Because Kane cares about your problems, Mitsu.
"A poncho? 'Kay." Kane blinked. Apparently he'd find out in class what Mitsu meant. "I like it! I can't wait to start going here. I think my form's still in processing or whatever. But thank you very much for showing me around! It was fun! And if I get lost I'll just come find you." While lost. Yes.
...Milo. Kane blinked. "That sounds close to the name of my best friend's ghost dog. Meela." He suddenly looked uncomfortable, shifting his weight from one foot to the other and carefully rubbing the back of his neck. "She's, uh..a very good dog..." He looked away. Dramatically.

"M-Meela?" Mitsu's eyes lit up like jack-o-lanterns, the space between her and Kane suddenly not important as she stepped very close. "You're friend's ghost dog is Meela? Is he a really tall boil? A demon?" She tried to gesture with her hands his size but she was more than likely exaggerating but her words were so excited it didn't matter as she blazed through them. "Is his name Derykion? I was hoping to hear from him I hadn't heard anything since he took Meela."
Mitsu suddenly looked gleeful at the thought that Derykion had kept the name she had given Meela and he obviously still had her because his friend knew about her. "How is she doing by the way? Does she still like to play ball? I really should have gotten Derykion's number I haven't been able to call and check on her." It was possible she was bouncing a little from excitement, something a particular futakuchi-onna usually did.
