Anga followed the direction of the spotted lion. His mind was reeling with little schemes. He pretty much freaked out when he mentioned his father was Grin. That b*****d embarrassed Anga so bad that just thinking about it got Anga’s blood boiling. His ear twitched in irritation. Every second he got crankier. Not too long ago, he was melting under a tree from the sun. Now, he was melting in the direct sunlight. That other lion better know where he is going or Anga is gonna give him hell. Of course, he can’t do much in his current situation, but in the future~ he’ll let him have it.
Everything in his brain screamed to run away. He didn’t want to get involved with this guy. If he was anything like his father, he had a silver tongue and devilish tricks. But, Anga couldn’t be picky since he desperately needed to cool down. The lion promised to lead him to a stream in exchange for a story about his father. Fine, whatever. Anga could talk just to take a dip. Though, Anga didn’t know if there really was a stream. He searched for hours before and never came across one. Granted, he was half dead anyways from the heat already. Still, he tried. Anga couldn’t help be skeptical. He sulked behind the other lion and kept his eyes trained on him. He wasn’t going to allow any funny business.

Huritt strolled a couple paces in front of the black lion. He was in high spirits, even through the thick wall of stench rolling off of the black lion. Man, did he smell. Huritt found him not too long ago, lying in a pull of his own sweat. Obviously, his black pelt didn’t like the sun light. Huritt, on the other hand, loved the sun. He shrugged. A good bout of exercise always helps, but the black lion didn’t seem like he liked to run around.
Huritt walked through this area earlier and drank from a stream not too far from where the black lion’s tree was. He told the lion he’d lead him to the much needed water, in exchange for stories about his father. A grin spread across Huritt’s face. At the mention of his father, that black lion took off. It was a very interesting reaction. He chuckled just remembering it. Obviously his father must have done something to this lion in the past. Heat rolled through Huritt in excitement. Oh! He felt like a little cub again with all this energy, but he slowed down his pace to address the black lion. ”Since we’ll be together for a bit, I’d like to introduce myself. My name is Huritt” He tilted his head in greeting.
Anga narrowed his eyes, almost anticipating a trick. Huritt. What a stupid name. Sounded like he was saying HURT. Now that was something Anga could get behind. Not that he was violent, but he’d like to hurt Huritt right about now--his tail twitch in agreement. Yeah, Anga wouldn’t mind raking his claws along Huritt’s flank as the first signs of trouble. Though, Anga pulled his muscles back from his teeth, this guy was already trouble. Anga spat, ”Anga!” A few specks of spit flew out with force. ”And don’t get all buddy-buddy with me!”
He glared at Huritt as he passed him. Anga needed a break, already he was reaching his limit and it’s only been five minutes. Things were not going great. Granted, he hasn’t been putting much effort into making it work. Whatever, Huritt better lead him to this stream soon.
Huritt pulled back, a bit in shock. For one, he didn’t want to get sprayed with spit and another…this Anga was really pissed off. A grin pulled his cheeks up. A low chuckle began to rumble through him. Oh! This was exciting! What the hell could have happened to this guy in the past to have pissed him off so much? It was killing Huritt that he didn’t know. He bounded forward and said, ”So, Anga, tell me why you’re so pissed off? He cocked his grin full force and used all his strength to hold back laughing. He could see the fur on Anga start to rise in defiance. Oh! Huritt could not get enough of this guy! He’s known him for all of~ ten minutes and the guy just hated Huritt with a passion. He had to get to the bottom of this.
What? Why was he pissed off? Easy, his dad was a pain in the a**! Anga spun around and marched closer to Huritt with each word. ”You wanna know why I’m pissed? Your ********’ dad is a piece of s**t!” He sprayed Huritt with his last word before aggressively turning back to continue forward. The quicker they walked, the sooner he could get rid of Huritt. Of course, the damn sun was making process slow. Which, caused Anga to slow down. In his rage, he forgot the whole purpose of walking with Huritt. He needed him to lead him to a stream…which Anga didn’t know the location of. Anga dug his claws into the ground to keep from screaming. He’ll wait for Huritt to get in front of him before he kept going. Anga didn’t know where to go, so Huritt needed to lead the way.
Huritt laughed out loud and whipped his face. Anga was a piece of work. Of course he was pissed off about his dad, but he wanted to know why. This guy was so upset that he was about to sweat to death. All Huritt wanted was some information. It tickled him to death that something his father did could cause this lion to almost die. It seemed Anga was trying everything to keep Huritt away, when Huritt was trying to get him to a stream. He sighed and jogged to catch up. ”So, my dad was a d**k. How about this: we make it to the stream and then you can tell me about him?” It was obvious Huritt wasn’t going to get anywhere with Anga at this point. As much as he wanted to know, it seems his best interest was to remain silent and just… get there. Then, while Anga was relaxed, he can’t jump. Huritt smiled at his plan.
Anga jerked his head up and bared his teeth. ”Fine! But no funny business!” Anga didn’t trust Huritt as far as he could throw him. He picked up this pace to follow Huritt. After his yelling spat with Huritt, he couldn’t stop panting. No way could he be a tough guy now. The heat just sapped his strength. It’s pissed Anga off even more to glance up and find Huritt strolling in the warmth--almost like it gave him power. Ugggghhh~ how annoying.
Anga’s ears twitched. He heard something! It sounded like running water! He picked up his head and scouted the area. He couldn’t see it, but he could hear the stream. He worked up enough energy to dash out in front. He soon spotted the blue freshness. Anga hollered in pure joy. Finally! Now he could get rid of Huritt…oh wait… he did say he’d tell him about his father. Plus, he kept his distance for this last stretch. Fine, whatever. He’ll be around this flea bag for a bit longer. Anga dashed to the edge and jumped in the water. Oh, man did it feel good.
Huritt padded up to the water and observed Anga. His grin only parted as he laughed at the black male’s antics. Anga was very childish. Huritt was losing a bit of respect for his father. Well…not that he had any to begin with. Anga was just too easy. Though, he’ll tell him soon. So, Huritt will be patient.
