Where: Zeffer's hive, Four fronds.

When: After the meta, before bloodfest, somewhere around midnight.

What: Zeffer and Aprife hang out for an evening. Friendly sparring ensues and juicy secrets are laid on the line.

Everything was set for what Zeffer was hoping to be an interesting evening. After the events that had transpired in the desert, he'd holed up for a while, kept to himself. Now that he'd had a little time to deal with things, though, he was ready to pick up where things had left off, to continue on with the shenanigans he loved so well. Now that all the bullshit from the desert was over he was ready for fun again! And what better way to have fun than to have a friend over to his hive? Aprife was finally going to come over to visit, and the Blueblood was sort of half-assedly bustling about to get ready.

Of course, he usually didn't give a s**t about the state of his hive, but before he'd left for the desert the inside had been in a particularly sorry state of affairs. You could barely go a foot without stepping in garbage, and the massive snake had angrily goaded his little blueblooded litterbug into picking most of it up. Crackly wrappers and clinking soda cans were placed in bags and hauled out back. He spruced up his respiteblock and made sure that his lusus was satisfied before wandering outside to wait.

Once he'd reached his lawnring, he flopped down onto the grass with a soft huff, gazing up at the stars and listening to the listless flutter of the windsocks. All he needed to do now was wait for Aprife's arrival. He rolled around on the grass a few times before settling on his back. The weather lately had still been driving him mad. Not a cloud in sight, not to mention rain. It would be good to have company. Anything to take his mind off of the boredom that was slowly setting in.

It had been a long time coming, but Aprife finally set out, Four Fronds in his sights, recreation style. No royal announcements or tournaments, no strange, unmarked notes leading him into the trees, off to the desert, to times that would always be… a memorable mixture of good and bad. Eyes wandered down to the tattered old bag that smacked against his leg with each step. The goggles Zeffer gave him were secured around the strap, a trophy of sorts, a reminder of the adventures of team primary. The good parts, and the yellowblood grinned to himself, then turned his attention back to the notebook cradled in one arm. It held the sloppy directions he'd scribbled showing the way to Zeffer's hive.

Not unlike his friend, his respiteblock had been a haven since returning from the last leg of their journey, the part he didn't enjoy remembering quite as much. Still, Aprife was resilient. It hadn't been long at all before he was back on the streets of New Hemisect, pen in hand. Not much had changed, not really. Except that now, when he thought about other trolls, sometimes he forgot to think about how best to weasel out all of their private information.

Sometimes. Not often.

As Aprife looked up, he caught sight of a blue tinted something fluttering overhead, off in the distance. That had to be one of the windsocks, he thought, and picked up the pace. A hand tapped at his pocket, feeling the slight bump of the pen he'd moved there from his bag specifically for this occasion. A pen in his pocket. Just in case. The thought became more poignant as he sidestepped a purpleblood who shot him a downright murderous look. It was hard to care too much, though, as he got closer and closer, smiling all over again and wondering if Zeffer had anything planned. He was certain this would be an interesting evening.

"APRIIIIFE!!!"

A familiar voice called out from the direction Aprife was looking. That windsocked house was indeed Zeffer's, and the blueblood had already spotted his friend and was proceeding to flip out a bit. He darted away from his home and off of his lawnring to greet his lowblooded companion, who he hadn't seen for some time. Not since the desert thing...it was good to see a friendly face. Zeffer had so many things planned, games, probably ******** around with the neighbors and going by the lake, too. He wondered if Aprife had ever even been to the Four Fronds before. It wasn't exactly the best place for lowbloods...but Zeffer'd make sure his friend stayed safe.

Speaking of, Zeffer snarled a warning at the nearby purpleblood, before practically pouncing on Aprife, laughing and wrapping an arm around the other's neck while being careful of his horns. The highblood sneered and quickly retreated back into his hive, grumbling something about troublesome bluebloods and their dirty lowblood friends. Zeffer hadn't seemed to hear, too preoccupied with rubbing himself all over his friend in greeting. While he'd wanted to have a party, a lot of trolls he knew hadn't been responding to his mail for the past couple of weeks, a very troubling thing indeed. How was he gonna have a party without any friends?

"Hey man, so glad you could make it out here!! I hope it wasn't too much trouble...ya get through town okay? C'mon, my hive is this way." he steered Aprife in the direction he'd probably already been travelling, a big toothy grin on his face all the while.

"So how've you been, dude? It's been a while..."

It could be that he still had his mind somewhere on that purpleblood after all, but it wasn't until his friend's voice rang out, surprisingly clear, that he realized Zeffer was already heading his way. The hive was closer than he realized and Aprife barely had a moment to brace before the inevitable collision that nearly knocked him off his feet. From the corner of his eye, he could tell that unpleasant highblood was headed back inside his hive, and he took a moment to revel in the smug satisfaction of whatever level of protection being friends with a blueblood had to offer in places like this. Still, there wasn't much time to do even that as he too maneuvered his head to keep from jabbing the other troll in the eye or something else that might prove a bloody buzzkill. Unruly horns made for awkward side hugs, but he threw his arm around Zeffer in turn.

"Wouldn't miss it," he assured between laughs. "It's about time, right?" That 'trip' to the convenience store seemed like ages ago. And the streets of New Hemisect were a considerably different setting compared to the path he was being rounded back onto now. Less familiar, probably a little more dangerous, but he'd claim danger was his middle name if that's all it took to get a good story.

"Nah, your directions were pretty good. Had to write them down myself 'cause I didn't wanna have to try and read your terrible writing on the fly." Whether or not his companion's handwriting was actually worse than the chicken scratch he presented from his notebook was probably debatable, but Aprife was practiced in the art of reading his own horrible work. "And nobody really bothered me." Although as he mentioned that, he glanced back over his shoulder to where they'd just been and his eyes loitered a moment before flickering to the front again.

"Been pretty good." He opted to leave out the part about moping around his respiteblock. "Same old stuff, ya know? But I am definitely looking forward to checking out your place." There was a grin on his face, a slightly suspicious one, but still genuine.

"Damn right it's about time." The blueblood smirked toothily, incredibly glad to see a familiar face. Aprife was the first one he'd contacted after the entire ordeal. He'd wondered if any of his other friends had done anything regarding the rebels, or perhaps even the queen. Sarcel? The hot-headed Sempur? He had a strong suspicion the latter troll's allegiance laid with the queen, and there were others still who he worried about, but those worries were pressed to the back of his mind now that he had someone to goof off with for a while. "My writing's terrible!? How about yours!"

The blueblood laughed as he lead Aprife the rest of the way down the road (whatever road their was, anyway), toward the towering silhouette of his hive. It certainly wasn't the largest in the area, but it was big enough to be notieable, and the decorations were still fluttering in the breeze, just like they'd been before Zeffer had dashed off to meet his friend. "Glad to hear it. Things have been...boring. No weather, no storms. And hey, have you heard from Torero at all? I've been trying to contact him but he never returns any of my letters." Zeffer's brows furrowed some. Of all their group, Rero seemed to have been hit the hardest by the rumble out in the desert. Now, unable to keep in contact, the blueblood had become concerned.

"Here we are, though. Welcome, make yourself at home...and don't mind my lusus. He's around here somewhere, just don't let him startle you." Zeffer all but kicked open the door to his hive when they got there, and left it open once they were inside. He couldn't tell where Arcus was, and he was surprised the massive serpent wasn't being nosy about their visitor like he had the tendency to be.

"My writing is a work of art." It was a pretty decent comeback, he thought, glancing sideways at the notebook one more time. Didn't these scribbles look just like the things he'd seen slapped onto a canvas, given a philosophical title, and called modern? "I can't help it if my shorthand only looks good to trolls with taste." He emphasized that with a roll of his eyes, never losing that crooked grin, and quite purposefully dragging his feet a little. Just to be difficult.

When they hit the lawn, though… Aprife was the one suddenly picking up the pace. Maybe it was because he grew up in the inner city where every hive was only part of a stem, small and usually not much different than his own. Now he was only steps away from touring a real hive, spacious, full of things waiting to be dug up by some brave pen and paper adventurer. And he had to admit, the outside of Zeffer's hive certainly did look interesting, if not straight up fun. Those windsocks reminded him of the games he'd sometimes play with Bumbs, the ones with the net. It was the fish shaped one that had him gawking up all the way to the door, though.

The only reason he ended up looking down was because they had made it all the way across the grass. It was pretty good timing, only moments later he was blinking and looking over at his blueblooded host with questioning eyes. "Torero?" he repeated, and the tone in his voice was probably enough to answer the question right out. Even now, as he continued to think of the redblood as a friend, he realized that he hadn't made a single attempt to contact him. It wasn't that surprising, really. Aprife wasn't the type to make the first move towards bettering relationships. He was most assuredly committed, but usually just to new stories and new faces that he'd probably never see again. Having friends was different. "No, I haven't heard from him since… the desert."

The yellowblood had trailed off after that, remaining silent as they stepped inside. Turning back just once to glance out the still open door, he found the smile returning to his face. "I won't," he muttered in assurance to the warning, though he hadn't quite heard it all that well. It was hard not to be distracted. Aprife was already a few steps behind, already poking his nose where it probably didn't belong. Anything that caught his attention had him stopping for a moment to investigate.

"I'll show you taste." Zeffer said as he shoved his friend, laughing at the way Aprife sped up when they reached his lawn. Somebody looked eager to get inside of his hive, and he wondered if the yellowblood would try to snoop around in all the crap that was usually strewn about. Once they were inside, the blueblood flicked a light on, illuminating the base floor of his large home.

It was messy as hell, of course, but perhaps more interesting than the outside. Off to the right was a living area, of sorts, where three beat up sofas and a couple of squishy-looking armchairs were arranged in a loose pentagon, with a table in the middle. Another couch was shoved into a far corner, and there were piles of stuff everywhere.

A large umbrella pile sat near the seating-pentagon, goggles were strewn about, and a rainbowed pile of faygo bottles lay in another area. Not to mention the rather groty storm motif that the place had. Where many trolls might have had movie posters, Zeffer had taken it upon himself to put up posters of Alternia's varying storm activity in some spots, and mural his walls with paint in others.

To the left, an open doorway that lead to a hall, no doubt to some sort of kitchen. Another open doorway at the back of the room lead to a curving stairwell, and the only other door was on the far right wall, though it was closed.

"Bummer." Zeffer said in response to his previous question, and kicked a faygo bottle out of his way. He hadn't really expected a positive answer, but it didn't hurt to ask anyway, right? He let the dakrer thoughts slip from his mind, and grinned suddenly at the half-paying-attention response he got. "Alright a*****e, but don't blame me when you s**t your pants out of fear." he snickered while Aprife took a look around, getting his bearings. He half hoped that would happen anyway, because it had been ages since he'd been able to see Arcus give anyone a good scare.

"Feel free to touch or look around whatever, but try not to ******** up anything too bad. This is the main area, but if you want a tour I guess we can go up to my respiteblock too." He offered offhandedly, leaning against the back of a couch. He was almost certain that his nosy friend would happily take his offer.

"Give me a little more credit than that." In the middle of picking up an umbrella, Aprife tipped his head in his friend's direction with an expression that was almost daring said lusus to come charging out from the shadows. After what they'd seen in the desert, he was sure he could handle a simple guardian, especially one that he was expecting to show up at some point. At least, that's what he told himself. It's not like he was on the menu for dinner or anything. He wasn't…. right? The yellowblood was probably being just a little too flippant.

Wringing his hands around the umbrella still in his grasp, he laughed shortly. It had been in his sights even before Zeffer gave the go ahead to touch. The posters and murals littering the walls were certainly amazing, enough that he'd be scoping them out soon enough, but something he could actually get his hands on would always draw him quicker than a moth to a flame. "I'll be gentle, I proooomise."

Now he was shaking the unopened toy of sorts, up and down as he wandered towards the land of empty bottles. Some of them had to be trophies from their convenience store heist, he was sure of it, and that made him grin almost as wide as in the next moment when the probably unsuspecting blueblood mentioned going upstairs to see his respiteblock.

"Really? I definitely want a tour!" Aprife shouted even louder than usual as he made a sharp turn towards the other troll. His hands jerked in the process, and the look on his face didn't even have time to shift to surprise before the umbrella in his hand popped suddenly and violently open. A gasp caught in his throat as the surprise sent him stumbling backwards, kicking the back of his own foot and falling straight onto his a** before he even knew what hit him. If an umbrella could prove such a frightening opponent, then maybe he should have been a little more worried by warnings of the resident lusus.

"Good." Zeffer watched him explore with a wide smirk. Really there wasn't much in the hive that could be broken or messed up, and some of the umbrellas laying around were inside out anyway, but he liked the reassurance that his posters and charts wouldn't be ******** with. Not that he thought Aprife would go through trying to dismantle them or anything, but...well, it had happened in the past. That was all forgotten at his companion's enthusiastic agreement to touring the hive, and Zeffer burst into laughter as the umbrella seemed to burst open and send the yellowblood sprawling back onto his a**.

"Hahaha! Holy ********>" Zeffer shoved himself off the back of the couch and wandered over to his friend, stooping slightly to offer him a hand. "I told you to be careful. Here." He meant to help Aprife up, but suddenly, there was a very audible shooshing noise behind them, and all at once Zeffer's lusus appeared through one of the back doorways, white, feathery, and startlingly massive, attracted by the sound of the unfamiliar yells. His head rose up and he gazed down at the stranger from over his charge's shoulder, tongue giving a flick or two in the process. All the racket had stirred him out of a sound sleep, and he'd thought there was trouble at first. Zeffer's body language told him otherwise, though, and so he stared at the yellowblood, silently wondering where his son had managed to meet this one. Another lowblood, of course, his son never seemed to get along with others of his caste (that he'd met before), but it wasn't for him to judge. His wings folded along his sides, and his rattle remained still and hidden amongst the back of his coils, and this seemed to please Zeffer.

"There you are! Wondered when you'd hear us messing around out here. Aprife, this is my lusus. Snake dad, Aprife." He hurriedly went through introductions, knowing that the massive snake probably didn't care all that much. As long as Aprife was relatively respectful, he would remain docile and as friendly as a giant snake cared to be.

Sitting there on his a**, the yellowblood tried not to laugh, he tried hard to look indignant, and he had to bite his lip to keep from losing it right there. He took a short moment to wrangle the umbrella closed and set it aside. For some reason it was kinda hard, stiff and almost stuck wide open. Well, he sure did hope that umbrella was already ******** up before he had touched it. Judging from the rest of them, it probably had been. "I was," came the weak argument, since obviously he wasn't being all that careful, and finally a little snort escaped where he tried to hold it back. "Okay, maybe not."

Aprife was reaching up to take the hand, grinning and looking grateful all at the same time, but the unusual sound had his fingers curling back in towards his palm before he could take it. What was that? In the aftermath of his unexpected fall, he'd temporarily forgotten that there was someone else in the hive besides them. Someone who had likely heard his not-so-quiet tumble. He didn't have to wait long for his answer, though, as before his eyes the great white snake appeared so quick it was like he had always been there. The yellowblood immediately withdrew his hand. He had seen some huge guardians before, but living with Bumbs never did quite prepare him to see one so large up close. Even as the lusus stared down at him, he averted his gaze and took a scoot back on the floor. Eventually he was looking at Zeffer, who looked awfully calm, and it only took a moment more and a brief introduction to realize the snake probably didn't mean him any harm. He felt a little better about that.

"Nice to meet you…" The grin he wore was toned down a bit as he looked at the lusus again. His hand fumbled a bit in the air before he grabbed Zeffer's and grunted softly as he stood back up. "Sorry to intrude." Aprife vaguely brushed his hands on his pants as if simply looking for something to occupy his thoughts. It was a little awkward the way he kept his eyes on snake dad, while conveniently leaning in the blueblood's direction and speaking surprisingly low. "Hey, we can still look around, right? Your lusus doesn't mind?" Because Aprife was still thinking tour and respiteblock, which certainly wasn't weird at all.

Zeffer snorted his laughter as the appearance of the snake made Aprife visibly nervous, and he patted the massive serpent, brushing a hand through his feathers. It was a pretty common reaction, but he made no move to interfere as the feathered lusus gazed down at his friend through his perpetually frowning eyes. It was only after Zeffer had introduced them that he looked away, and the blueblood hauled Aprife up onto his feet again. "Nawh, it's no intrusion, man. Trust me, he'd have been out here a lot faster if it had been." Not surprisingly, Zeffer's hive wasn't bothered often, wit the sight of a massive snake lusus sunning on the lawn being more than enough to ward off potential burglars or pests or whatever else might come around to harm or bother their home.

"No way, he doesn't care at all. A friend of mine is a friend of his. In fact, he's gonna help us out. Right?" Zeffer patted Snakedad's face before stepping around and hopping onto the serpent's back, just behind his wings. This didn't seem to faze Arcus at all, and he shifted a little to bring his head closer to Aprife, tongue flicking out to get a better scent of the young troll. Flowers. The outside world, a myriad of strange scents. Zeffer gestured for him to come closer. "He can take us up the stairs. I mean, there aren't that many, but this is way more fun." He snickered, grinning a big fanged grin and jerking a thumb toward the rest of Arcus' massive body. Aprife had his pick of wherever he wanted to sit.
PostPosted: Mon Jan 14, 2013 12:45 am

"Huh. What, really?" Aprife could barely even get that question out, head snapping to the side, before his friend disappeared behind the back of the giant snake. "How's he gonna do that?" As he took a step to get a better look at just where Zeffer had gone, he noticed the lusus coming at him from the corner of his eye. Now his attention was quickly back on the feathered creature, but besides a slight lean back, he didn't look all that nervous. Snakes scented with their tongues, he vaguely thought he remembered that from sometime, somewhere, but not knowing quite what else to do he simply held out a hand until he assumed it was over. For a huge reptile with scary eyes, he had to admit the blueblood's lusus was acting fairly gentle, and seeing his bro perched on the snake's back looking proud of himself had the usual sharp grin returning to Aprife's face faster than anything.

"Woah. Man, it must be something to have a lusus big enough to ride on. Pretty sure I'd crush mine. He's really gonna take us up there?" He knew it must be true despite asking, since Zeffer was motioning for him to join. Just where on the snake he'd choose was actually pretty difficult, surprisingly. Not too close to the tail end, he didn't wanna be wiggled off. Not too close to his riding partner, either, because he was an independent yellowblood who didn't need no highblood to help him keep balanced on the back of a massive snake. No sir.

Eventually he settled himself close enough that he probably could leeean forward and grab onto the blueblood if he needed to. Of course, if he did happen to fall it wouldn't be that far, but he certainly didn't wanna roll down a few stairs in the process. "Okay. I think I'm good, dude." The yellowblood's fingers splayed out over the smooth scales beneath them. This would be his first time riding a lusus and he sure as heck was grinning from ear to ear in anticipation at this point.

"You'll see. It's pretty much a no-brainer though." Zeffer teased. He snorted and stuck out his tongue in pure amusement as he watched his lusus flick his tongue at Aprife, glad that the yellowblood wasn't too jumpy. The massive serpent could recognize fear, and Aprife's confident demeanor probably gained some level of approval from him, or so Zeffer figured. Arcus flicked his tongue a few more times before his head swung away again, seeming to wait for the two youngsters to situate themselves. The firm grip of his little one's hands at the back of his feathered mane was a comfort, but it was funny to have another small body clinging to his back. He didn't let it get to him too badly. As Zeffer had supposed, he cared little for details and was happy to remain laid back as long as his son felt the same.

"Yeah, it's pretty sweet. Used to be able to fly with him when I was younger, but I'm too big these days. What's your lusus like, anyway?" He asked, though as Arcus began to shift a little bit he could tell the snake was ready to go. Hold that thought~

"Alright, you gotta hold on since there's no feathers back there." Zeffer barely managed to give the warning before Arcus was off, smoothly slithering out of the living room and into a small hallway that seemed to lead toward several directions and doorways. The snake chose an arched entrance that lead immediately into a stairwell, one that was large enough to accommodate his size, impressively enough. He scaled them with no problem, and they twisted and turned, going up three flights and passing only one door along the way, before coming to a small room. It seemed to dead end there, and it was just big enough form Arcus to maneuver around.

"Here we are!" Zeffer laughed as he stood on his lusus' back and reached to pull a handle in the ceiling, revealing the hidden trap-door-esque entrance to his respiteblock after tugging mightily. He wasted no time in hauling himself up into the pitch black space before Aprife did, knowing he'd have to flick on some of the lights. There was a crash and a short yelp as he fumbled around, before a light flicked on, finally. He called down for Aprife to 'come on up' as he continued to move around, opening the windows, and wondering if he out to open the top window as well.

The respiteblock itself was just as messy as the downstairs had been, large and wedge-shaped as it appeared from the outside. Zeffer would still be fiddling with the controls to the shutters on his windows, but the rest of his room was there to look at with what lights he'd turned on. His recuperacoon was shoved into a corner on the right side, large and lumpy and painted a dark grey, almost like some kind of hokey, half-assed cloud. One would be hard-pressed to find any open wall space, the amount of clutter compared to the living room was ten fold as the walls were just about plastered with pictures and maps and a couple of weather-related movie posters ('Tornado' and 'The Perfect Storm'). To the left of the trap door, two large tables had been set up perpendicular to one another in the far corner and appeared to be a sort of workspace, with little bits and pieces of wiring and parts strewn about, with a few half-built batons and a husktop on the end. There were a couple of low-lying bookshelves on the side of the room that didn't form the curved ceiling, and there were piles similar to the ones downstairs, umbrellas, more faygo bottles, a small boot pile, and a little heap of goggles by his desk.
PostPosted: Mon Feb 18, 2013 11:39 pm

Already wide eyes stretched even more and there was a mirth that continued to play across the yellowblood's features with every little thing he learned about this giant snake. Having grown up with a lusus so small meant he was the one who ended up the chauffeur, never the other way around. It was almost disappointing… Scratch that, it was disappointing to hear he wouldn't be able to try and weasel a ride through the night sky for himself. If Zeffer was too big, he surely was, as well. Aprife was just about to sigh out his disappointment, both at being too large to bum a sky ride and the fact that his lusus, even with wings, would never be able to carry him, but there simply wasn't time. The warning he got was barely enough to alert him before they were off.

It was actually pretty weird, feeling the lusus's muscles flexing and its body bending and he clung for dear life those smooth scales. He almost slipped once, but wiggled himself back into place, hardly thinking a thing or noticing how far they'd gone until they were apparently there and Zeffer was disappearing into a hatch above them. "DUDE. Aprife was up, scrambling after. "That was amazing! My lusus would never be able to do that. He's a bee. Really small. Uh- Okay, bigger than a regular bee, but he wouldn't even be able to pick up a wriggler." He was laughing now, too, having flowed seamlessly back into the same conversation they'd be having downstairs.

Well, now his voice was laced with even more adrenaline, it showed in the way his words slipped out as fast as the buzz of any bee's wings, and he was talking to a dark hole in the ceiling, but those details hardly mattered.

For a moment he did nothing except stare into the darkness, but soon light was filtering down, and he wasted no time once the invitation was extended. "You've got more s**t than I do!" It was his initial reaction, but it probably shouldn't have been that surprising. Still, Aprife was quickly overwhelmed by the need to scope out everything he could, but a few of the piles caught his eye before the rest. Stooping down, he started to dig through the pile of goggles, holding a large pair up to his eyes. "Where did you even get all these? Mine used to be part of this pile, too, huh?" He was grinning, looking proud of the pair of goggles he had strapped to the bag at his hip. Although really, he probably just looked ridiculous with those oversized goggles still held against his face as he began to glance around the respitblock again.

Zeffer was surprisingly quiet for the ride up as Arcus took off at a brisk pace, obviously used to accustomed the snake to get around his hive. He wore a big grin though, as he glanced back at Aprife every so often, pleased at his friend's expression, and proud of his lusus. While many trolls had varying relationships with their beastly parental figures, his lusus had always been fairly good to him, and he tried his best to reciprocate it. The truth was that neither of them knew for sure whether or not the snake could support the weight of a teenage troll in flight, but as Zeffer had grown up Arcus had been less and less eager to give into such requests. The blueblood had always assumed that it was too great a strain and had given up his pursuit of flight; it had been nice while it lasted.

"A bee? With a stinger and everything?" Zeffer bit back the snicker that threatened to bubble up as he ******** around with the panels on his windows. Some trolls just weren't lucky when it came to lusus, but he knew it was wrong to laugh at that sort of thing, especially in the face of a friend. "Bees are cool, man. Like royalty. Small lusus can still ******** things up pretty bad when they want to, anyway." he offered, grunting as he finally wrenched the level down. The automated panels on the window shifted up mechanically, revealing the grand view of the lake and surrounding area. Even downtown Four Fronds and the surrounding forest were visible, with the lights of the main part of the resort town flickering in the distance.

"Ehehe! It is a lot of s**t. Never know when you're gonna need...whatever." He said as he stooped to snatch an umbrella, waving it around like a sword before swatting an empty faygo can at the open hatch in the floor. "You got a lotta s**t? I wanna come visit sometime. It's only fair, y'know." He smirked as the can clattered down into the hatch, laughing at the resulting hiss. Arcus lifted his head up and rested it on the floor, eyeing the petulant blueblood with that always-irritated-looking expression. "It's been a long a** time since I've been in a hivestem. I kinda miss it, almost. This place is better with Snakedad in the long run, I guess. More room."

Zeffer rambled as Aprife got to looking around, not seeming to care as he dug around. As Aprife held up the goggles, he laughed out loud. "That's right! I get 'em from wandering around. "What kinda s**t do you collect?"
