Jack slowly tottered along the wooded area around his burrow. Long ears flicked and listened as he foraged for food.

Kiun strolled around seemingly aimlessly. She had set out to find the sea some time back, but had yet to be successful. She had left her family to chase her dreams of being a true pirate, but to do that she needed to find a ship, and to find a ship you surely had to find the sea....

Sniffing at the air Jack turned and listened, his dog tags clicking softly with each move he made. His short tail twitched as she focused on the slightest sounds.

Kiun spotted Jack through the trees, and decided that she would ask him if he knew how to get to the sea. She came up behind the rabbit " uh, hello? could i maybe get some directions?"

He stiffened then turned to face her, "Directions?" He eyed her for a moment, determining if she was some kind of predator. After a moment he felt she wasn't a threat, "Sure. Where ya headin'? And what's a little lady like you doing out here by yourself?"

Her tails twitched uncomfortably behind her, she never did like talking to strangers, but that was something she was just going to have to get over! " im trying to get to the sea, you wouldn't happen to know which direction i should go would you?"

"The Sea?!" Settling down on his haunches, "Sweety you're pretty far off from the sea. It's going to take several weeks travel that way," he motioned off behind him, "to get there. And when you do I'd be careful. There's are bunch of scallywags that would take advantage of a pretty little lady like yourself." It was then he made note she had more than one tail, "Which brings me to a question....what on this sweet earth are you?"

Kiun frowned " i'm that far away" sheesh this is taking longer than i thought..." she said them pondered how to answer his question " Well... my Grandparents are a demon and a Kitsune, and my mother is a Lucky cat, so i'm some combination of all those i guess"

A ear wilted down and he quirked a brow, "Wait. YOUR part demon?" He eyed her again, "I can believe the kitsune with the extra tails. But demon? You don't look it."

she giggled " well my grandmother is a very pretty demon, but her personality dosent match her face" she said with a shrug " anyway, you were saying something about 'scallywags' you.. wouldn't happen to be talking about pirates, would you?"

She had him curious about her family but when she brought up what he said prior, "Pirates, thieves of the sea, Vultures of the oceans, 'freelance barrows of things you will never get back'. They call themselves many things. But yes. Pirates none the less. There is a port city that sits in a small cove. They call it Siren's rock. It draws in all manner of people, from every walk of life that is looking for a new start...thought that start is not really that pleasant at times." Tilting his head, "Let me guess. You're looking for some seadogs, eh?"

she seemed to brighten up considerably at his words" yes! i want to be a pirate, a real pirate, not like my mother and sister, they just pretend to be pirates"

He gave her a strange look, "Sweety, no offense or anything....but.... you're family sounds...weird........ mythical grand parents, a lucky parent, and I can only guess one parent is half demon. And now you you say your mom and sister pretend to be pirates. Next you're going to tell me some one in your family is a ninja....." He shook his head with a chuckle.

She blinked " well... i did hear that one of my sisters got herself mated to a ninja and they had kids so it just goes to say that their kids are part ninja.... but yes, my family is weird, that's one reason i left, their weirdness is overwhelming sometimes"
