Name: Winterlynn Leshcheva

Nickname: Winter, Snow

Age: 19

Birthday: September 15

Sign: Virgo

Gemstone: Sapphire

Blood Type: Type AB

Fav. Food: Any pasta with a white wine sauce. Lemon or lime sherbet.

Hated Food: Eggplant, String beans, wheat grass, avocado, and zucchini. These are the things she knows she doesn't like.

School: DCU

Hobbies:

Window shopping: Winterlynn likes to go window shopping, even if she can afford what she's staring at. She's a bit frugal when it comes to actually spending money. Living on her own, even if her parents still support her, she winds up balancing out the pros and cons with buying anything beyond the normal needs. The only reason she has the jewelry collection she does, which is quite the collection, is due to the amount off she gets as she works at the store she buys her jewelry from. If it's a piece in another store she won't buy it, it's too much money and she doesn't want to risk forgetting it if she puts it on hold. She also doesn't like the idea of having credit cards or store cards, who knows if she'll have the money to pay them off when the bills come in.

Reading: Winterlynn spends a lot of her free time reading her school books, yes she enjoys reading her school books. She takes some enjoyment out of learning about gem stones and the history behind them, where they can be found and the colors they should be. She'll skim web sites that deal with watches, so she can learn more and better help customers (it also helped when it came to buying her father a Christmas gift last year). Beyond that she will on occasion read a book for pleasure but she's picky on what she reads, as childish as it sounds the last book she seriously read was Harry Potter book seven. She wants a book she can get lost in, something with magic. She is the type to read in a public place, a cafe while a coffee between classes, sitting on a park bench and enjoying some free time and nice weather. Winterlynn might not be the sort to join a book club, unless there is a big promise of books she can get lost in reading, but she'll sit and discuss books with anyone who would like to.

Movies: A long standing tradition of hers is Friday nights are movie nights. No longer living at home she watches movies on her own on Friday nights. Popcorn isn't a part of the one person party but tea or hot chocolate and some chocolate or other treats (ice cream or sorbet) are. These treats of choice are enjoyed while watching sappy romance movies which are now watched all alone, as opposed to before when she would watch them with her mother. She doesn't want to deal with friends who may tease her over her movie choices, she had once when younger gone to a slumber party were a movie she loved was teased by the others. Sometimes, once a month, these Friday nights are spent with her mother either at her apartment or her parents home. While she isn't much for spending money on frivolous things if a movie trailer looks particularly good she'll part with the money, which is too much in her opinion, to go see a movie in the theater. She's been there on opening night for all the Harry Potter movies and recently has seen Hunger Games, a book shes considering picking up when she can find the free time. She isn't some genius when it comes to movies but she will give a good, and honest, opinion of a movie she's seen, her reasons for or against certain things as well as her view on just how the book (if there is one, and she's read it) is better than the movie.

Gemstones and jewelry: It's not just a job or schooling for her. She really does love gemstones and jewelry and not simply because of the monetary value given to each stone or piece of jewelry. She loves it because it's fascinating to her that these stones have come up from the ground where they have been buried and hidden from sight; and it takes how long for them to even form? It's like a glamorous archeologist really, rather than bones, fossils, and pottery it's something that looks like just a colored rock but it so much more once cut and polished. As for jewelry it's all about the mounting and the design to her. Some pieces look hideous, and she will say as much, but the stones are amazing in color and clarity. This is perhaps why she likes the dainty pieces that the store gets in but also she likes some of the old, antique, pieces you can find at estate auctions or in antique stores. On a fairly regular schedule she will go to antique stores and estate sales; in the hopes of finding something nice and cheap for herself.

Virtues:

Willing to help: She works in sales so she has to be helpful, she wouldn't do very well if she wasn't. Outside of work she's helpful, even if she is cool and unfriendly seeming, to most people but don't go asking her to do a homework assignment for you, or write that report, she's not going to help you cheat and assist you in being lazy. Winterlynn is nice under that aloof exterior, even if she doesn't trust you, if you ask if she can help you with babysitting your neighbor's twins she'll be more than willing to help, just don't expect to spend the time watching the kids and making "light" conversation about things such as guys, friends, and what sorts of things you like to do. The only time problems really come in are if she can't fit in what a person asks for help with, she feels guilt for not being able to help someone and will wonder how things turned out until she finds out.

Good memory: Winterlynn's memory is fantastic. She can remember that boy, who most people have forgotten, who sat in the third grade class room eating the ends off his pencils and had the accident in the bathroom that everyone found out about. She also remembers that you complimented her hair bow in second grade and still thinks that was sweet of you. While these things would be insignificant for other people, and fade from their memories, but she's played these things over and over in her head so many times since they occurred that forgetting simply hasn't happened. Words have faded, she can't go and quote a person from school, but she can remember the general idea of the words/conversation. These things just...linger for her when she's included in them, or were as embarrassing as that boys accident. In her young mind all these things she remembers were significant and important at the time. Now though she puts that skill to use by remembering certain rings, pieces of jewelry people are interested in, and what's been recently sold. It's the same skill, replaying events over and over in her head till she remembers them.

Focused: Winterlynn is able to think with a calm and cool head no matter how stressing a situation is she has never had a problem with being unable to think something through properly. She has been known to handle multiple phones calls between family members to relay information while one member is in the hospital, and babysit the little kids while playing family relay. She can handle stressing situations and still manage to not lose her temper or to act without thinking. Winterlynn is good at setting up a mental list and order for things to get done in and then does them. Let's face it, living on your own and attending school and working is no easy task and Winterlynn knows this more than some but that doesn't mean she needs to be stressed out and snapping at people. She's too busy to let things throw her off her game and unbalance her even when she's knee deep in text books to study for an upcoming exam, or two, and work hours to maintain. She's still able to calmly handle customers who others might loose patients with. This of course isn't to say she's some perfect person and able to always remain calm and level headed, she just tries to keep such flaws under wraps. She doesn't like the idea of people seeing her "weak".

Flaws:

Vengeful: Being that Winterlynn has a good memory she also remembers any and every wrong done to her, she still remembers that brat in fourth grade who pulled on her hair and got her in trouble for shouting at him in class, she will at some point work toward getting some small victory against whoever has wronged her in the past. She doesn't care that they don't remember, she does, these things have played over in her head so many times that the emotions they caused in her all those years ago is still fairly fresh. It's a case of her own memory working against her, seeing people who slighted her as the same people they were in school. These little victories can be as simple as buying the last pair of shoes in the size you need, since she over heard you talking about those shoes and what size you are and that your getting them later that afternoon, or if you need a book at the library she'll make sure to get it. It's all about the little things, even not helping someone as much as she can. She just needs to feel...like she's finally done something about what upset her all that time ago, and still has upset her.

Paranoid: The fact Winterlynn never forgets the important things, things done against her and other people, has lead to her being untrusting to the point of paranoia. She can't really help it, even if she realizes this, and why would she help it if she could? You really could be out whispering bad things about her, looking to hurt her in some way, and you could be cheating on her or you could be talking about her on facebook to the rest of the family. She knows it could all be possible and to her the possibility is all too real, look at how many people get cheated on and never know till they see it happening! And do you know how gossipy a family can be? Winterlynn really doesn't trust anyone, even if she hasn't seen you in ten years, she remembers every slight someone has done against her and you haven't changed one bit since then! Never mind your only asking her what she's doing in life, she knows your looking to learn more and then spread things to other people and scoff at her behind her back. All this paranoia and looking for ulterior motives, they have to be there, makes life hard. And not because of the lack of people in her life but because she can't just vent and speak her mind openly with anyone. She can't trust them enough for her to allow herself that moment, or two, of weakness. You never know what will be posted online by someone, or whispered about behind your back. it leaves a heavy weight on her shoulders.

Aloof: Let's face it Winterlynn can be as cold as...well winter. She isn't much for being friendly or bubbly, so it's a good idea not to expect either of those things when dealing with her, even if you are family. She isn't the sort to join teams or groups of people, she's more the sort to stand separate and yet still be considered a part a group, and listen to everything and commit the important things to memory. She keeps people, everyone, at a distance to prevent herself from showing weaknesses and keep herself from being hurt. But in doing this she can come off as cold and indifferent, it's hard for her to show emotions and not just come off as flat, and in being this way she doesn't have friends (even if they don't know they aren't friends) but rather acquaintances. Work is a trying, to say the least, having to act and hope no one figures out that all those smiles and friendliness are one big act for your sake. It isn't that Winterlynn isn't nice it's just that she really isn't the sort to smile and chatter away happily; but she knows most people are. She really just content to listen to you tell her what you want, make a suggestion here or there, and get things over and done with.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

Eyes: Some sort of purple blue color, like a light indigo.

Hair: Long black hair, high up ponytail with silver hair holder keeping it up.

Face: Heart shaped face with a small beauty mark toward the outside of her bottom left eye. Fair features.

Clothes: Black dress pants, low heeled black boots hidden under the pants, a silver or dark blue silk shirt with a black buttoned or unbuttoned short business jacket over it. She works at a jewelry store so all black, save for a little color, is the thing. Expect a necklace and maybe a bracelet as well as a pair of chandelier earrings. She won't wear yellow gold, ever, always white gold.

Knight Title: Delphi Page

Challenge:

Uniform: Something flowing and warm, some fur and silvery beads would be nice. Maybe some form of a high collar with a small split in the center part of her throat.

PLEASE THINK OF YOUR PLANET THEME(S) BEFORE GOING INSANE~!

Top -- Something with a velvet hooded cloak/robe/coat over it.. Fur trim on the hood and down both sides of the cloak/robe and around the bottom hem, or around the collar (whatever it had). White or soft silvery gray fur. Hood can/should be down.
Bottoms -- Pants or maybe go for some dress/skirt
Gloves -- Up to colorist, though I'm learning toward a no.
Belt -- Up to colorist, but it would be nice.
Shoes -- High boots with tread on the heels (I'd like high, maybe even crazy looking, heels). Something with fur, for warmth. Not lace up boots, some other form of closure or maybe seemingly no zippers, laces, or anything like that.
Shoulders -- Up to colorist.
Accessories -- Necklace maybe and for her hair maybe silver ribbon twisting about her hair or beads.
Weapon A scepter

Magic: The scepter is used as if to block an attack, held up in front of Delphi, where it will be used to form a magnetic field to hold back those with chaos infected starseed (due to the magical properties in those starseeds infected by chaos). The shield itself is only in front of Delphi, and anyone behind her, and over the top of herself. It's curved upward, like an unfinished bubble/dome. So it leaves the back open to attack. Once the scepter is lowered Delphi's spell has ended. Thankfully the shield does protect Delphi, or she'd be a sitting duck when using her magic, moving while using her magic is a big no-no. It will lower her shield so she must remain in place while her magic is active. Perhaps the good thing is that she doesn't have to use all her magic at once, and can use her magic multiple times in a battle, just as long as it equals out to the time she'd be allotted anyway.
Page: Delphi can only poke or lightly hit people with her scepter, it really isn't all that weighty or solid. Don't expect much damage from her scepter.
Squire: At this point the shield she can cast will last 30 seconds. Her magic will hold back all agents of chaos that are at her level or lower. The shield itself, size wise, is five foot in radius. So it gives her the ability to protect more than two people, in case one needs treatment from someone else.
Knight: At this point in the game Delphi can actually repel an agent of chaos, rather than just keep them at bay, it still only works on those her rank or lower. The shield now will bounce an agent of chaos away, giving someone time to regroup and her to lower her shield so the other can attack the agent of chaos, since they are now not right on top of them. The duration of time is slightly more than the last attack, now 40 seconds, the radius however has remained the same five feet.

Weapon Stages:
Page: The scepter should have little to no design, but clearly be a scepter in shape. It would be hallow and thus light weight, easy to swing but not capable of much damage. For length I'd say for starting it should be the length of her lower arm.
Squire: This is where it should start to gain some sort of raised design and start to reach past her elbow in length. The scepter would also start gaining some weight and solidness, become less likely to break when used to hit someone.
Knight: At this point the scepter should reach to midway up her upper arm and be quite study and solid, with some more weight to it. The design should now be wrapped about the scepter and the stone at the scepters top should have some fancy design around it, keeping it in place.
A design similar to this: X

The scepter should have a round Axinite crystal at the top of it with the symbol for Polaris etched into it. The shaft of the scepter should have very little design to it but as Delphi ranks up it should gain more design.

Colors: http://mowse.ithiltari.com/moonshop/knights/swatchpolaris.png I wanna go with the last color, the very pale cyan color. For secondary the gray color or the second color: the purple.

Axinite:

The stone is Axinite because it is a magnetic stone and I feel it fits Polaris well, as Polaris is a planet of magnetism.
The stone comes in multiple colors including blue so I'd be going with a blue stone for the scepter, to match the uniform and such.
The stone:
X
X

Information on the stone:
Gemstone Response Range SI X 10 (-6) Range Cause of Color
Axinite Drags 603 SI Iron, Manganese

Why Delphi/About Delphi:

Delphi is the sight of the Delphic oracle, there were more than one Delphic oracle, and they saw the future and were often consulted by rulers and such. it is speculated, and likely true, that they were high and would mummer random things to priests who would translate what they said into a prophesy or an answer. Originally it was once a year that the oracle would accept people for questions, and people would come from all over the ancient world seeking answers and advice. It later became more often that the Oracle could be questioned.

This is also the site where the Greek God Apollo slayed the python which guarded the navel of the Earth. The navel of the Earth being the stone which Zeus's father ate thinking it was his newly born son Zeus.

Sleet Tempest Snape

Hey Sleet!

Winterlynn looks like she's going to be a really interesting character, so I'm really pleased to have snagged this profile!

First things first, I wanted to clarify her school—the Gemological Institute of America. I checked to find where these were located, and in the US could only find one in New York and one in California, so I was wondering how this would work? Are there online classes available, does she commute—what is the situation with this?

For her hobbies: The majority of these seem like they could be limited to private events, so might not be able to be reflected in roleplay. Window shopping could be social/lead to conversation, though reading and movies seem a little less likely—unless she can do these in a social sitting?

For reading, how can she use this in a social environment/how can you use this in roleplay? She does a lot of informational reading it seems, but is she the sort who would go to a book club? Or recommend books to people she finds/listen to their recommendations?

For movies, this seems like a very specific hobby that she does in private since you add that 'she won't watch some movies with her friends,' and while this can make for good solo fodder, I'd like to hear more about how this could work in a roleplay. Is she a movie buff? Would she go to the movie theatres? Does she love to chat about movies?

While I think that you have outlined the hobbies very well, I think it would help if she had some hobbies that might pop to me—if I were reading her roleplay, something that would make me think, "Oh—she likes to 'insert whatever hobby'? So does my character, maybe we could stick them in a room together and see what happens," and right now it just looks like these are all things she could do comfortably by herself. Not that that's a bad thing, but I think it would be really helpful to tack on a hobby/tinker with her current hobbies so that they are inviting for roleplay.

And, on that note! She seems very interested in gemology but this isn't listed as a hobby! And you mention her jewelry collection—maybe this could be expanded on to help for a hobby? If it is something she is passionate about, there are a multitude of opportunities to make roleplay out of this. She has her job—maybe would attend showings or auctions? Or would she go to museums to admire their collections?

For her virtues:

Always willing to help: I think this works well! I can see how it could be a virtue [and I like that she seems willing to help but not to do all of the work for you].

Never forgets: I'm a bit hesitant on this one because it seems like a bit of a superpower more so than a virtue. I think insta-amazing memory is a little iffy, but it's totally fine for her to have a good memory! I'd just like to see it tweaked to be a little more normal—like, does she work hard to remember the details? Is she nit-picky/super observant? Why doesn't she forget something? IE—does she keep a journal/constantly reflect on the past/etc? Or play like—the brain age games? And, because this is a virtue, I would love if you could point out where it comes in handy? She might remember that boy from third grade, but is her memory limited to what he did or said or can she remember, say—what was on her test from middle school, or everything she's ever read from her textbooks? I think this has a huge ability to be a super power, so I'd just like some clarification on what sorts of things she never forgets.

Level Headed: I think this is a good virtue to have, though after the first sentence it starts to sound more like she is talented at multitasking than keeping level headed. While I understand that to stay calm under all the pressure she might have to be level headed, I'd like to hear a little more about how her level-headedness helps her overcome situations rather than just how she is able to multitask. Can she keep her emotions at bay in any stiuation? Is she able to remain unbiased under any circumstance? How much does it take to crack her? And how does this tie in with her flaws? [Can she remain level headed while being vengeful, paranoid and untrusting?]

For her flaws: Working off the idea that, I am really struggling to justify her flaws with the level-headed virtue. I've taken a long look at her flaws and probably scrutinized them more than I needed to. You focus a lot on her good memory in her flaws, but I feel like paranoid and vengeful seem to be really intertwined.

Vengeful: I definitely think this is a good flaw, but I'm really worried that level-headed might make this a little conflicting. You mentioned that she wants revenge for the brat in fourth grade that pulled her hair, but if she is level headed, [that is, unbiased/collected/able to analyze a situation without letting her emotions affect her decision] how would this affect her vengeance? How can she let emotions from a decade ago affect how she acts today? If she is level headed, does she understand that whatever happened ten years ago happened as a result of a children being children? Both parties should have matured since then, so I have a hard time believing that a level headed girl who loves to help could be vengeful. You might be imagining this completely different from how I am, though, so if I'm reading this wrong or not quite understanding, please feel free to clarify!

Paranoid: I am having a little trouble with this one for the same reason as the vengeful flaw; I'm just trying to make sense of it with her level headed virtue. If you are paranoid, you have "an unfounded or exaggerated distrust of others, sometimes reaching delusional proportions" and "constantly suspect the motives of those around them, and believe that certain individuals, or people in general, are 'out to get them.' "

Un-trusting: For this one, I'm kind of iffy based on the fact that you start out the flaw saying that it isn't that she doesn't trust everyone—which makes this flaw kind of confusing/situationally difficult. I feel like it reads more that she holds a grudge rather than doesn't trust someone. I think I'm just having a hard time seeing this as a flaw if she is willing to trust new people and this only affects people who have wronged her in the past (as, this is a natural reaction and doesn't really stand out as a flaw to me). If she is untrusting of new people because of incidents in the past, that is one thing, but as the flaw is written now I'm just having a difficult time identifying it as a flaw.

Going to take a pause here since I know I've thrown a lot of questions and comments your way; I know long crits can be kind of discouraging [or just really long and tiring 8D;; ] so even though I'm here to try and help you flesh out your girl and get her approved, I just wanted to take a quick break to say how impressed I am with the research you put into Delphi! I like how you even picked out the specific type of stone you want to stick on the end of the scepter. Out of curiosity, why Delphi? [The first thing I thought of was the Electron-Positron Collider, so naturally it seemed fitting for a Polaris Knight xD] Does archeological site have magnetic ties to it, too, or were you just fond of the diplomatic nature of the Delphic Oracle?

For Delphi: I think it would be easier to decipher just what sort of weapon and magic she had per stage if you could label based on rank. As it stands now, I think I have an understanding of what her magic is supposed to be, though it doesn't quite read as attack parameters.

For page, because there have been knights with staffs that have been approved, I think a scepter would work—however I would be specific in describing it since knight 'weapons' are more a channel for magic than they are actual weapons. For her progression, however, knight weapons are meant to be "Flimsy, Minimalistic -> Useful, More Detailed -> Cool, Highly Detailed"

If you want her to start with a scepter, maybe include that it is a light-weight, simple metal scepter [maybe specifically a hollow scepter so it isn't too dangerous?], then it could evolve into a prettier, sturdier scepter [do you want it to get bigger? What size scepter are you thinking?], and then into an ornate, gorgeous, sturdy scepter with full on designs and axinite gem?

In terms of magic, I think that magnetizing just metal that is on the enemy's person might leave Delphi at a severe disadvantage since a lot of characters don't have/don't appear to have any metal on them. If you wanted to create a magnetic field, however—in the same way that Sutai's attack works [ " The 'magnetic' floor is attuned to their starseed and its magical properties, not anything metal on the person specifically" ] you could still have Delphi create a barrier that affects chaos infected starseeds/repels them.

For her Knight stage, the magic could create a stronger sense of magnetism [ie, repelling the chaos person further away from the shield if they come in contact with it] or could just last longer/maybe have a bigger affected area.

Anyway, the attacks are just loose ideas! I'd love to hear more of what you have in mind for them, and I really, really look forward to seeing you get Delphi approved, so if you have any questions about anything I've said or if you make any changes you'd like for me to look at, please feel free to quote me and I'll be back!

Ok, I made corrections. If issues are still there we can talk in im and I can try and describe things that way. Maybe you can help me word it better than/figure out the titles to use.

As for the school thing I don't know if I can like...say the school also has a place in Destiny City, since it is rp and Destiny City isn't real. I can always poke Iris about that.

The research on Delphi wasn't hard, the stone was honestly harder. I wanted to pick a stone that was magnetic, to some extent, and that would match her uniform colors. I picked Delphi though due to it's diplomatic purposes, I'm not sure if any of the stones have magnetic properties, I'm not sure if anyone has even looked into that. I do know they say that fumes came up from the water, in the chamber the oracle was in, and caused hallucinations.

I also worked on the attacks, let me know what you think.

All right!

I've asked about the school and the recommended course of action is to stick her in DCU since it "the largest available post-secondary institution" that Destiny City has to offer. You can, however, say that she is taking classes in a particular branch of the college, but throwing her into a different school than the ones listed isn't going to work ):

On the bright side, though, you have done a very good job of elaborating on and clarifying her profile! And it might sound totally silly, but I think doing a quick proof reading over her profile might be really useful—I noticed a few sentences that didn't really make a lot of sense/seemed to be missing words.

For Virtues:

Always willing to help: On a second reading of this, I realize that the emphasis on 'always' makes me wary [just as with 'never'] because this allows for absolutely no wiggle room. I feel like this virtue could be changed to 'helpful' while still keeping exactly what you were going for—otherwise I feel like Winterlynn must literally always help people, which could get messy if people start giving her dubious requests [ie, please help me spy on this girl, please help me bury this body, please help me burn the house down—and I know these are extreme examples and I'm looking too far into this, but 'always helps' compared to 'never forgets' would just make me feel a little more comfortable without the adverbs].

Never Forgets: I like that you've written down the process of how she keeps her memories in her head, though I am afraid I'm still going to be difficult about it. I'm still a little hesitant about this one—it's still the 'never forgets', that is really getting to me. While she can have a great memory, I feel like 'never forgets' is a bit misleading. Is there any way you would feel comfortable changing the title of this virtue to 'Good memory' or something like that? I like how you explain how she does it and how she uses this skill and applies it [like in her work environment] but the first sentence still catches me—"Wynterlynn's memory is amazingly good." I would feel far more comfortable if it was another adjective or something—'her memory is fantastic' or 'on the spot' or 'magnificent' but the phrasing 'amazingly good' just doesn't sit well with me for some reason.

Level Headed: The part about relaying phone calls and babysitting the little kids still reads as multi tasking to me, but I like the addition of wanting to avoid looking weak! Level headed means 'showing good judgment' or being 'sensible' or 'composed, so if you are going to use the example " She has been known to handle multiple phones calls between family members to relay information while one member is in the hospital, and babysit the little kids while playing family relay," I think the important thing to remember is that this isn't about how much she can do at once, but how she manages to do it. I think if you threw in something like, 'she has been known to CALMLY handle multiple [etc] then it fits in with this virtue much better. [Also I am not sure with how I feel about her being level headed/composed/having good judgment/being sensible while also paranoid and untrusting. I think it might be really hard for her to have good judgment and be composed if she is also paranoid [which is having unhealthy and unjustified suspicion and fear that people are out to get you].

For Flaws:

Vengeful: This reads well to me, now, thank you!

For paranoid and untrusting, I'm gonna delve a little deeper, though; these two are very closely affected by each other [she is paranoid, and I think this would tie in to her untrusting flaw, too] however I still think you're just scratching the surface of these as flaws.

Paranoid: Her having a good memory is really good to tie into this; because she focuses on everything and remembers things, I can definitely understand where she might use the past to be paranoid! However, it is important to know that paranoia is a legitimate psychological disorder and there are strict guidelines that a person must possess before they can be labeled legitimately paranoid. I know that society generally acknowledges someone who is very suspicious as being paranoid, but I feel like it's important to consider the fact that one of the symptoms of paranoia is being untrusting of other people. I kind of think you could mesh these two flaws together because they both seem too similar to be categorized as different flaws.

Untrusting: I'm still having trouble with untrusting; this still doesn't read as untrusting to me. You have put emphasis on how wronging/betraying her makes you untrustworthy, comment that she is paranoid, but trusts family and friends. I just feel like as this is written, it doesn't wholly read as untrusting because there are exceptions to the rule/reasons why she will trust some people but not all people. She is wary of new people since she doesn't know their motives and wary of people who have betrayed her in the past. I just think that as this is currently written, it's not applicable to a wide variety of situations and is far too situational. If she was going to be untrusting, I feel like she would never take anything at face value, always suspect people's motives, and not believe people easily. Particularly when combined with her paranoid flaw, I feel like this is just doubly enforcing that she should be suspicious of everyone regardless of how well she knows/cares for them.

There are a whole array of flaws that I could see her reasonably having [and if you'd like to discuss some or bounce around ideas, you can poke me on aim or quote me here!] so I just want to make sure that she is fleshed out and that you are getting the most out of all of her virtues and flaws!

Now, I'm sorry for that wall of text! The Delphi portion will be much shorter!

I think this would read easier if you broke up which stage had what—for example:

Page: Description of flimsy, minimalistic weapon; no magic at this stage, so nothing to worry about

Squire: Description of useful, more detailed upgraded weapon; describe her magic at this stage. I think this is where "The scepter is used as if to block an attack, held up in front of Delphi, where it will be used to form a magnetic field to repel any chaos infected starseed(due to the magical properties in those starseeds infected by chaos). So the ability is a shield of sorts. At first it will only be able to do small things, nothing big, such as not allow a agent of chaos past/through the shield, and poke or hit people" would go [however, you might want to consider rewording that last sentence as it did get a little confusing]. Also, here would be a good place to add how large the shield is, note if order members can pass through the shield [I think it's implied that they could though just to be clear], and to decide how long of a pool she has to cast this magic.

Knight: Description of Cool, highly detailed weapon; describe updates to her magic. I think this is where "But as Delphi advances it will be able to last longer, the shield, and keep more agents of chaos from passing it to get at those she is protecting. Also, note the scepter must be held up in place for Delphi to channel her magic, once lowered the spell has ended. As a knight Delphi will be able to not just keep chaos agents away, like in previous stages, but she can now repel them and bounce them off the shield," would go. You say "more agents of chaos from passing it" which, I feel is unnecessary since her squire attack said the magnetic field could 'repel any chaos infected starseed', which tells me that she can repel as many as she can in the set period of time that she can cast her magic. If you want to note who she can repel, it might be important to include that in both stages [for example, does the shield repel all chaos infected star seeds regardless of rank, or only of her rank and lower?]. Also, here would be where you note the size and duration of her attack as well.

Sleet, I am so sorry about getting wordly and taking so long to get back to you! Thank you for your patience and you know how to contact me when you're ready!

Not a problem, I don't mind waiting at all. I think I fixed most things. If it still looks bad with paranoid and untrusting let me know, we can figure it out on aim. I think I explained them better, and altered them some. I think I got the rest handled, at least I hope I do. I was almost thinking of paranoid being changed to suspicious, if you think that might work better.

Sleet Tempest Snape

My list of things to pick at is dwindling! You have done a fantastic job of fixing her up, so I apologize for picking at her so much!

For Virtues:

Multitasker: I don't think I like the labeling of this as 'multitasker' since multitasking is more of a skill to me. While I know I expressed some tentativeness about 'level-headed', maybe a flaw like 'focused' would work better? I don't think that would conflict with any of her flaws, AND to be focused she would be able to both multitask and stay level-headed, so only minor tweaking would need to be done to the written portion/explanation of the virtue. I also think that 'focused' would tie in with how attentive she is to remembering memories—but this is up to you and is only an alternate suggestion for me! The one thing that stands is that I don't think I can approve multitasking as a virtue, so this would need a different name/slightly different description.

For Flaws: Unfortunately, I still read paranoid and untrusting as being far too similar ):

I've tried thinking about things that could make them more different other than what you've already elaborated on, but I really think the flaws would work better if you meshed them together as one flaw and picked out something else to work with. I was thinking maybe 'bitter' as a flaw to serve instead, but I picked at Sun's brain and she suggested aloof ['not friendly or forthcoming'/'cool and distant' to coincide with her unwillingness to trust new people] but—ultimately these are just suggestions and I don't want to infringe on whatever concept you have of Winterlynn by making you feel obligated to use any flaws that I suggest.

For Delphi: This is much cleaner and easier to read, thank you! Only a few things to note:

At her page stage, she wouldn't have any magic—just her weapon.

Squire: I think things might get complicated with 'she can hold off more agents of chaos though the shield won't last nearly as long as it would if it were only one or two agents.' I think this attack might work better and be less complicated if you took an alternative route—either by saying she can lightly repel ALL agents of chaos for the duration of her magic. If you don't want to do that, then you will need to add a little more information about how many people her shield can keep out for the full 20 seconds, and how much each additional person detracts from the time. [IE, 'she can keep 2 people out for 20 seconds, but each additional person she is trying to repel costs additional energy for the shield and she loses 5 seconds towards her casting time]. ALSO, 20 seconds is a pretty short amount of casting time, I think you could get away with 30 seconds for this! I would also like to know how large the shield is—what is the radius?

Knight: Following what I mentioned about her Squire magic, I'd like to know what the duration is, and how large the shield is!

Just a few notes and you'll be ready to go, Sleet.

- I think making it Delphi's rank or lower is a solid way to go [since holding back a GK or Ares would be way OP!], so adding that to the Knight attack, as well, would be great.

- I'd like to get more details on the shield. Is it a sort of bubble that appears? The way it's written, it seems like it's in front of Delphi, which would leave her open to attack from behind [which is fine, since it leaves room for creativity in RP, but is up to you].

Once you clarify those two points, we should be good to go. Quote me when you're ready!

Yeah, I figured holding a Gk, GQ, or a royal would be OP, unless she like went Templar.

Added in what you asked, tell me if it's good. Thanks for the look over.
