The rust-colored lioness wasn't sure what was so different about today, but something had compelled her to want to travel out of the way from where she normally did. Maybe it was something about the scents she was catching off the breeze that were somehow subconsciously luring her, the young muscular female wasn't sure. Mihkokwan had never really been anywhere with any specific purpose or intent of going there, and she preferred it that way. She padded through long grass, a big smile spread across her features, tail swishing happily behind her. the grass tickled Mihko's belly and every once in a while she would burst out into giggles and prance about in the grass. It had been a while since she had eaten anything- for Mihko was unfortunately not a very proficient hunter, as nobody had ever taught her how when she was young. Sometimes it was really difficult for her to ignore the hunger pangs, but it was rare that the rust-furred female was in a bad mood, even when she hungered.

Mihko stopped for a moment, grinning, and looked up into the sky. The clouds were neat today, she'd thought, and it was nice because they made it so it wasn't too terribly sunny or hot. Just enough so that everything was still bright and chipper. The muscular female fell to her hindquarters and turned her gaze ahead. The landscape seemed to change a few miles away into something a little different, and this sight intrigued the lioness. She quirked a brow and tilted her head, tail flicking away behind her of it's own accord now. Mihko thought about this difference for a moment and thought it might be worth investigating, she had never seen much aside from the grasslands she was born and had raised herself in.

She stared down at her dirt-covered paws for a moment and then looked about again. "Hmmm..." The young female mulled to herself, laying back her ears, flicking them forward again. Mihko had decided that maybe it would be interesting to see what it was like in the different landscape, and so she pulled herself to her feet and began to pad in it's direction, a slight skip in her step as she hummed a little tune to herself, all full of smiles.

Shiriki too had the feelings that other lions had from time to time. He too wanted to wander and see other things. He just didn't go too far on the other hand. Shiriki liked to wander to the border from time to time to see what was happening. When he could get the chance he liked to take his time and relax every now and again and whne he did some times he enjoyed to wander and this was one of those days. He wasn't going to spend his day hanging around his den and the pride he didn't see the point of that right now he wanted to go wander around. Now it was time to go do something else. His feet were letting him wander and he was wandering toward the ends of the pride. He wasn't that sure if he was going to be able to find something while he was wandering around out there but he was hoping that he could.

He was another one to be happy and cheerful about everything that was happening around him.He normally enjoyed everything around him. He rarely was upset and he rarely was down by anything. He only time he was getting annoyed or slightly upset over something was when it came down to his fur. He liked to be clean that was for sure. It was just something that he always did and enjoyed doing. He always enjoying keeping his fur clean, and of course as he rediscovered everytime he wandered the borders it too reminded him that he also enjoyed that.

His attention was raised he lifted his head as the scent of something caught his attention, he wasn't that sure of who it was or where they came from. He watched them from the distance, he normally liked company but then again this wasn't a lion in the pride he didn't know them at all and that made them feel a little odd he wasn't sure at all if he should wander over to the lioness or not.

Mihko hadn't been paying too much attention to where she was wandering, she hadn't honestly expected any other creatures to be around. She pranced along, humming loudly, her pink-toed paws lifting high off the ground. She landed from a pounce and spun herself in a graceful little circle, her long tail flying along in a circle behind her. The rust-colored lioness was excited with her decision to go and investigate this different looking land. Little did the young lioness know she was approaching lands that belonged to a pride. She had lived in the grasslands her whole life, and had never been part of a pride, nor was she all too educated on any of them. The muscular female continued on, completely oblivious, until her gaze passed a spot in the grass that looked like that of another creature.

Mihko stopped in her tracks and lowered her head a little. She hadn't caught the scent of another, and now she huffed and sniffed, trying to get it. Drat- nothing. She wiggled a little where she stood and her tail flicked of its own accord. The orange-furred female debated whether she should just go over and say hi. She decided to approach with slight caution, for once, as she hadn't been expecting anyone else out here, and she still had no idea that she was nearing the lands of this other creatures pride. Mihko padded softly toward the other creature, which she could now see was a lion. He had fantastic markings of pink against dark fur, and a nice, salmon colored mane and tail tuft as well. This had to be one of the most unique lions little Mihko had ever seen. "Cool!" She giggled, and picked up pace moving toward him.

The whole approach with caution idea had flown the coop by now, and she toddled on over, grinning from ear to ear, her tail practically wagging behind her. Her bright eyes were alit with excitement, and as she got within a dozen or so yards, she again slowed, and then stopped, reclining to her haunches. "Hi!" She exclaimed in a chipper tone, wiggling in place and looking over his neat markings. He had a nice feather cuffed to his ear, also- she noticed.

Shiriki's eyes followed over to the sound of the other. She heard them getting closer. He knew some one was around but she was a very plain lioness. All of the times that he had wandered the borders he really had never seen any lions out of the pride. Now that he thought about it he had never really even payed attention to the new lions as they came into the pride, because of that it was a little odd to find a lioness not covered in tattoos. He watched her as she danced around she was a very interesting lioness that was for sure. She stared and was a little confused of what to do with the lioness. He wasn't sure if he should wander over and say hello or if he should just watch. He felt like he should at least tell her of her wandering toward the sides of a pride and that although friendly that she should make sure to keep an eye out of where she was going.

But before he could really make up his mind, before he could decide where to go or what to do he noticed the lioness wandering toward her. He flicked his hair out of his eyes and say up the best he could. He was waiting for her to get a little closer before nodding at her. "Hello there!" He greeted back, he wasn't exactly going to turn around. He was a very friendly lion and he didn't see why he couldn't hang around with another lion. He enjoyed company and he was up for talking to some one not of the pride maybe he could find out some sort of inteteresting information.

The rust-colored lioness gave a little sigh of relief. Thank goodness that this other lion was kind and wasn't upset about her approaching so close. She supposed it probably would have been better to give him a little more space, but it had worked out alright until now, so it must be okay. Mihko smirked and continued to look him over. "You have to be the most interesting other lion I've seen...what are all those intricate little markings you have all over? They're so beautiful...I've never seen anything like it..." Mihko trailed off, fumbling with the words. Her bright blue eyes were so caught up in the detail. She hadn't meant to ramble, and she hoped that she wasn't being too invasive of his space by staring. She shook her head a little.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to stare..." The young, muscular female looked up at the male with an apologetic, toothy little grin. She laid her ears back and puffed up her chest fur a little bit, feeling her cheeks grow hot. All her life out in these grasslands alone, stumbling across random creatures and she had never seen a lion like this. Mihko couldn't help but wonder to herself if he was the only one. She decided maybe she shouldn't ask right now, because that might be rude, and seeing as how she had already asked him a question AND stared at him, that she would wait and judge his reaction on her other musings first. The orange-furred lioness wiggled again in her place, tail flicking behind her of it's own accord. She was just delighted.

Shiriki looked at the female at first not to sure of what to say to her. She was interesting she had no tattoos but as he thought about it he remembered that lions out of the pride didn't have tattoos all over them like he did himself. He shook his head at the female. "Oh no! Don't worry I understand their odd I don't mind." He smiled at her. She seemed like an interesting lioness that was for sure. "These markings are common in my pride. I don't know if I've ever seen then any where else. Well... I've never really been anywhere out of my pride." He laughed before nodding to her. "By the way you are on the border of the lands."

He then paused before thinking about it and laughing. "I forgot to mention!" He said laughing a little and then lifting his paw and motioning toward the top. "I actually really don't have any markings, not many anyway. He paused again before nodding "However They are tattoos, in my pride you get them as things in your life happen." He explained not that sure of how else to explain it. "at the end of your life you are covered in all of these tattoos. It's interesting." He smiled at the lioness once again. He smiled at her she wasn't sure how else to explain it to her to him he could see how it looks odd to others.

Mihko grinned at him as he spoke, still eyeing his curious markings, or as she had just been informed, tattoos. "Well that's certainly neat!" she piped up cheerily, "I've never seen it before..." she trailed off for a moment, looking away briefly to examine their surroundings, "I didn't know that there was a pride here, I just came over to check it out, 'cause it looked a lot different than the lands I'm used to. I don't really have a home, so...I don't really know where I am...or how I got here, for that matter." the rust-colored lioness' expression was apologetic for a moment, as she felt she had made her last statement a bit unclear, just mumbling on. However, it was quickly replaced by a toothy grin and the lioness wiggled. He thought it would be just fantastic to see other lions with these intricate tattoos, an he also wondered what creature was creating them for the lions. It made sense that it would be another lion, maybe she would ask later...

"I bet that you must have beautiful family then, if they are as decorated as yourself." Mihko complimented, swishing her tail, full of smiles for her new acquaintance. "If you don't mind me asking, what is the name of your pride?" the young, muscular lioness questioned, curious to know about it. She had learned about some other prides recently from other creatures that she had met in her wandering, and she enjoyed learning about all the different prides. She had still yet to see any pride's lands and meet other lions and creatures from them, but it seemed at this point it was probably better. Mihko didn't want to feel like she was intruding, and she also figured that after a life on her own, she couldn't possibly fit into a pride. Even of it was just to stay shortly. Maybe eventually something would change her mind, but for now she was perfectly happy being out in the grasslands.

Shiriki paused and thought about what the lioness said. As he thought about it he was thinking about other prides. He didn't really know that many but he knew that therew ere some lions that came from other prides. And he had heard many stories. "Well, I'm pretty sure that there really aren't any other prides around here that have the same tattoos as we do." He said simply nodding before speaking once again. "Well at least there are no others that we know of anyway." He chuckled a little as he flicked his tail around behind him, he flopped on his haunches getting comfortable.

"The pride that I come from is called the Ela'wadiyi pride." He started off as he thought about his ride and all of the traditions that it had. "I wouldn't be too worried about being in the pride, we are a peaceful pride and normally we all travel. We are split into six clans, and we interact but we generally all do our own things." He chuckled with a smile, thinking about the times that he had interacted with all of the others. He glanced to the female and then smiled. "We welcome rogues." He then paused, and his ears flicked. "You have no home?" He asked arching a brow, he wasn't used to hearing about others with no home.

Mihkokwan watched him carefully as he spoke,l observing his movements, and listening carefully as well to the information he was giving her. "I just think that's great." The young lioness smiled, wiggling a bit in place- force of habit. Mihko couldn't help getting excited when she met others that were nice and willing to talk with her. Though it wasn't incredibly often that she met creatures that were mean or impatient, and she was pretty good at cheering them up, she thought. "It's very special then, to have something like that unique to your whole family and home." Again, the rust-colored lioness grinned toothily at him.

"So there are lots of your kind, but you don't see each other much?" She pondered for a moment, blue eyes squinting quizzically. "I've never heard of anything like that, it must be fun to meet up with old friends and such..." She added, considering the fact that she had only ever seen anyone she'd met once...It kind of made Mihko feel sad and weird, but she figured it was all probably just part of being a lone wanderer.

The orange-furred lioness paused for a moment, contemplating his next statement/question. She found it interesting that they were welcoming to rogues, as some others she had met that were pride-bound were not quite as friendly. "I've never had a real home...my parents well..." She trailed off, looking away from the other lion for a moment, "I don't know what happened to them, but I've been on my own since I was very small..." She again trailed off, flicking her tail and trying not to let the sadness consume her. Sometimes Mihko had sat thinking...wondering what had happened to them, or where they had gone...

Shiriki looked at the lioness and then nodded. "It is very nice to see friends when I haven't seen them in a while." He laughed a little flicking his hair out of his eyes. He took a few seconds before nodding at her afterward. :It is very cool I think it would be interesting to find out the things outside of my pride but yet I like it here too much." A goofy grin grew on his face before nodding at her. She was happy to have the company of the lioness and he was glad that she understood and was curious about his pride. He liked to see curious lions it always made him happy. He flicked his hair out of his eyes before nodding at the lioness. and then pausing for a second.

"You don't know where your family is?" He asked her curiously frowning a little as he did. he was upset to know that the lioness didn't have a home. "Have you looked for a home?" Her asked her curiously he wasn't that sure of what else to ask her. He was hoping that she had a place to call home. He loved his home.

Mihko nodded at the male, "I imagine it would be." She smiled kindly. The rust-colored young lioness shifted her weight and perked her ears, thinking for a moment before she answered his other questions. She shook her head slowly, and smiled a tiny smile, "No...I just have a fleeting glimpse of what they look like, I don't know where they went." Mihko said, wiggling a little in place. "And I've only recently been learning about some prides. Most of the creatures I meet out here are rogues, such as myself." She said softly, blue eyes lighting up as she started to think about all the prides she had recently learned of. "So I don't have a home, no. Well I suppose these grasslands are my home, but I do not belong to a pride."

"I'm doing alright though...on my own here. I survived at least anyways." Mihko giggled a little, flicking her tail. It was something a friend had told her recently, and she would always remember that. She was never alone, for there were creatures great and small everywhere around her, and she was a strong and courageous lion for having survived to adulthood on her own. She nodded with another little smile and looked to the male again. "Oh how silly! You know, I should have introduced myself instead of being all awestruck." The lioness chuckled heartily, "My name is Mihkokwan. You may call me Mihko though, most do."

Shirki glanced at the lioness and shrugged his shoulders. "Being a rogue sounds exciting too" He offered, almost trying to make it a little better. "You get to see all kinds of places, don't have rules." He then thought about it. Although he liked the idea of seeing all kinds of places he really enjoyed having a home and being at one place instead of not having a place to stay. And of course there were family and friends he could always talk to and spend time with he was guessing that she really didn't have the time. She probably was busy keeping herself fed and everything else like that.

He took a few minutes to think before offering her an idea. "Maybe you could join a pride?" He asked her curiously, he wasn't sure if she was into that but she thought that she should at least ask. It could be a helpful question. He thought so anyway. "I mean, maybe you can find one that you are interested in and join because then you'll have a place to stay and do things." He nodded at the idea, he thought it was a pretty good one. He wasn't sure how she was going to agree but he thought that he would at least offer the idea to her. It sounded like a good one when he thought about it. He turned to her and nodded with a grin hoping that maybe she could take up the idea, he felt bad knowing that she really didn't have a home to be at

Mihko chuckled softly, as Shiriki said that being a rogue sounded exciting, "I suppose it is, but it's not always the awesome kind of exciting, you know?" She grinned, winking at him, and shifted her weight, contemplating his words. That was something that Mihko had never thought about- joining a pride. Though after being alone for so long, Mihko didn't know if she COULD fit in somewhere like that. Most of the other creatures she had met had only been in passing, and so she hadn't really spent enough time with any one for them to want to invite her to their pride. In fact, nobody had even mentioned the idea to her before- not that this put any creature at fault, just that this was the first time she'd really thought it, and since all her meetings lately, this wasn't seeming such a bad idea. Life seemed to be pushing her towards finding others to confide in and be with, and so maybe that's just what Mihko would do. She smiled at this new acquaintance for confirming her new direction, though he didn't know.

"I never thought about that." She said quietly, out loud, to make it seem as though she hadn't really been thinking on it as long as she actually had. That might have been a fail though, seeing as how she must have been staring off into space thinking about it just a moment ago. "Your pride is the one I know most about, so far!" The rust-colored lioness giggled, shifting her weight again, her bright blue eyes focused on the male. Mihko wasn't lying, he was the only lion who had really told her much about his pride.
