~JSSDF Military Special Task Force Headquarters: Embryon Complex~
Located on the opposite edge of town from the Kirijo Dormitory, the Yasoinaba Station, and the Amagi Inn, the JSSDF has reopened an old military station once used to train and house troops before the facility was abandoned in part of a post-WWII effort to eliminate military presence and reduce internal military budget costs. Used occasionally as a temporary residence for troops in the area, it was recently remodeled and updated to meet modern health and safety standards.
The Facility now acts as Headquarters to Embryon, the Special Task Force assigned to shut down Inaba. Here, strategies are made for maintaining the lockdown, lockdown resources, and for eliminating the threats within the town borders. Barracks and training grounds can be found adjacent to the 1-story Headquarter Building [in which the Lord General and his Captains have offices], where rank and file members of Embryon will rest and train on a regular basis.
When detaining suspects thought to be involved with the supernatural incidents in Inaba, there is a special detention facility in the back of the complex [though it is has not received the same modern upgrades as the rest of the buildings, and can be considered downright cruel and inhospitable]. All decisions and paperwork generally runs through the Headquarters building, though, and reports are made to the Lord General inside.
When receiving a promotion or commendation, one will usually be called into the Lord General's office after a successful mission to receive [Mantra Cores]. Quote: Recently, the Embryon have been reinstated by the new Shogun Motonari Mori and given control of their original Headquarters located in the town of Inaba. Under the direction of new General Gabi, duties begin anew with the remaining members of Embryon back at home.

Ria
A tall young woman clapped her hands together lightly, and a number of the minions within the building settled down and turned to look at her. "All right, everyone. I know it's still early in the morning, but that doesn't mean you should be slacking off." she said, an amused smile dancing around the edges of her lips. "We've made a lot of progress on the renovations, but I want to see all of you continuing to do your best so that this place looks nice. We live here, after all."
Yes, Mom.
It was very probable that Ria knew exactly what all of them were thinking, but it certainly didn't bother the Ace of Aces. Those who had been infected by the Atma Virus were certainly a little... unruly... at times, and it helped a lot to have a firm voice of authority guiding them throughout the day. Haoul was a little too violent, Sayuri was a ninja, and Gabi... well... Gabi was Gabi.

Reina Udonge
"Mm..." Reina moaned happily as her lips parted from the young Ensign's. The boy, who couldn't have been a day over 19, looked vaguely thunderstruck after the Secretary's passionate embrace and deep, deep kiss. For a semi-military organization like the Embryon, the way Reina acted probably wouldn't have been put up with, except for two reasons... first of all, she didn't go for anyone unwilling, and secondly, she was darned good at her job. The fact that her hearing was far, far better than human standard probably had something to do with that, of course. Like just about everyone else involved with the Embryon, Reina was infected with the Atma Virus. Unlike the rest of them, however, nobody knew what her demon form actually looked like, because she'd somehow gotten herself stuck halfway between forms... and only her long ears and round, fluffy little tail had emerged, resulting in the perfect bunnygirl. However you wanted to look at it, she was almost incredibly lucky. A partial transformation could have been a whole lot worse, after all. As it was, though, Reina simply waved the boy on his way, grabbed a piece of paper from the fax machine next to her, and flicked it into one of the boxes. As the Secretary for the entire organization, she had to keep tabs on basically everything at all times, which was part of the reason for the terrifying number of screens and keyboards that surrounded her. Her Atma seemed to have gifted her with abilities in the realm of speed, though, and she began nibbling on a carrot as work resumed once more. Food and affection were the only two things she really needed, after all, and here, she had both.

Mokou
"Talk to me, Brigadier General. What was that thing? You and Ryofu aren't so weak you'd evacuate me just because a threat popped up; if we're about to have a major incident, I'm not going to accept being kept in the dark." Mokou's look was calm, steady, and completely unconcerned for her own safety despite the raw power that the Embryon's Ace of Aces possessed. Ria and RyofuWithout a doubt, this was a situation that was going to have to be handled... delicately. Mokou's intention to protect Japan was very well-known throughout the base, as was her frequent frustration at not being able to stop certain events from happening. A statement like "it's not our job to solve problems, just to protect you" could really set her temper off. "It was a frikkin' monster, that's what. That wasn't a good time to play the hero; only an idiot goes into a situation without knowing as much about their enemy as they can." Ria's hand slowly moved up and covered her eyes. "What she means, Princess, is that you're absolutely right in that whatever that was happened to be too dangerous for us to allow you to stay, and protecting you is our highest priority. However, you can also expect that anything powerful enough to make us prefer to take you to safety rather than fight then and there is something that someone will want to take care of, whether it's the Shogun, the Crows, or some independents. Power attracts power; I think you can safely assume that someone will end up dealing with it. It might even be the Embryon." That would... probably be enough to let the girl keep her cool, though what she was going to do now that she'd been denied access to her books for study was...

ℋɪҡɑʂнɪ ɀυʂʏϕϯʂυ Silence! Now continue, Sheoldred… As the sounds in the courtyard had grown the intensive grunts and groans from physical training could be heard as a boy with black hair could be seen, flowing around with his two bladed guns, striking at thin air, striking with one blade, then the other, at an invisible, non-existent opponent, with each strike fluidly and cleanly following after the other. He striked hard at the non-existent being, trying to quickly and efficiently destroy them. After one last swipe with his bladed guns, he stopped, the sweat rolling down his pores, and turned his head left, as if he were looking at an entity that didn't exist. But unlike the training session, it spoke to him. And him only..."Your training session was very satisfactory. I do hope that you continue to train hard and work at this facility until you are able to fully follow out my plans." To him, the voice sounded like beautiful harp-like whispers, with a natural scratchy voice. It is barely audible for him, but for other people to watch him listening to the entity, it could be seen that he is just staring into space. And to that entity's statement, he had opened his mouth, slowly, and exclaimed in a monotone voice. "Yes, Sheoldred."

ℋɪҡɑʂнɪ ɀυʂʏϕϯʂυ Silence! Now continue, Sheoldred… After he had spoke to Sheoldred, he then proceeded back inside, wanting to get refreshed and be ready for whenever the need for an officer arrived. So he had walked back inside of the main base, silent as ever, and paying attention to each and every word that might have been said.

ℋɪҡɑʂнɪ ɀυʂʏϕϯʂυ Silence! Now continue, Sheoldred… With him being so focused about observing the surroundings, and everything, he had quickly noticed that the company secretary, Ms. Reina, was at her desk and diligently working at her duties. He had remembered earlier that Sheoldred had told him that she had a question to ask Reina, and with him being so diligent to following what Sheoldred asked, he had quietly and swiftly walked over to her, making sure to ask the question and solely the question only. As he had gotten closer to her, he had cleared his throat, as to get her attention, as he asked the question "Ms. Reina, I do admire your diligence to the workforce, and Sheoldred does also, but Sheoldred also was wondering... Are your tendencies apart of the workforce as well to be able to gather more information about the male co-workers, or is it a secret agenda that the general as assigned to you, and that you are not allowed to speak about to others?"

Reina Udonge
Reina blinked at Hikashi's question as she tried to parse it, considering how awkwardly it was constructed. She was not, of course, surprised at his approach. Her freaking huge rabbit ears weren't some kind of accessory, after all, they were entirely functional and let her hear MUCH better than the average person. Relatively certain she'd figured it out, though, the secretary smiled at him. "If you want to show me a carrot, all you have to do is ask." she said warmly. "But as for doing what I do... I do it because I like it." And she liked (almost) everyone, too. It was true that some people thought there must have been a special reason of some kind; it was often hard to grasp that she really was just that relaxed and interested. Though... it was also true that the Embryon had a high fatality rate, and if you wanted to make friends, you sometimes had to be aggressive. More than one batch of newcomers had been exhausted the morning after their arrival...

ℋɪҡɑʂнɪ ɀυʂʏϕϯʂυ Silence! Now continue, Sheoldred… Though it had took a few seconds to register the second part of what she had said, he had tilted his head to the side, but then shrugged. He had then had thought about the first part of what Reina had said, puzzled. "If you were wishing for sustenance, I would be happy to get some for you, Ms. Reina." To be honest, he wasn't really sure if it was food she wanted, but it was what his first thought was.

Reina Udonge
Reina had hopped halfway out of her seat before remembering that these were working hours. As friendly as she was, she did take her actual job pretty seriously, and she couldn't leave her desk whenever she wanted just to have fun with people, be they ever so delicious and fresh. The bunnygirl sat back down and gave the boy one of her nicest smiles. "Perhaps after I get off this evening? You can bring it right to my room and we can... discuss your performance." Her ears twitched as she grinned.

ℋɪҡɑʂнɪ ɀυʂʏϕϯʂυ Silence! Now continue, Sheoldred… Though he didn't understand why Reina didn't want him to gather the food for her right now, so he thought about it and thought about it, and then had thought about some of the stuff that his mother had said, before he had left for the Embryon. "I understand. I will be around there as soon as I can. Is that satisfactory, Ms. Reina?"

Reina Udonge
"Yuppers!" her ears twitched again, giving off a feeling of excitement and eagerness. With that, the bunnygirl turned back to her work, grabbing a paper off of a fax machine and glancing at it before sticking it into an inbox. As usual, her workstation was set up with a frankly ludicrous amount of computers, which she tended to rapidly switch between in order to keep up with everything that was relevant. Of course, one of the computers appeared to be dedicated solely to images of carrots being peeled and/or juiced, but there was probably a perfectly reasonable explanation for that. Somehow.

Title: Last Seen Near Yasoinaba Station... From: ^ ^ To: Captain White Devil-chan and Ms. Raidou Kuzuno-chan WANTED!!!Dead or Alive! Name: Denkuro Shinra Former Rank: Captain of Embryon Threat Level: A Crimes: Theft of multiple Atma Cores from Sapporo Embryon Headquarters, illegal use of Atma powers upon Ensigns, destruction of Embryon property, assault of a Brigadier General, and treason against the Imperial Nation of Japan. Bounty Notes: From the Desk of Sapporo General -Name Withheld-: "Captain Denkuro was a master in magic, particularly darker aspects of the discipline. He had a fetish for necromancy, and regularly pushed the boundaries of Embryon's acceptable practices. Often known for commanding a 'supernatural' loyalty amongst his subordinates, but was regularly pardoned for lack of evidence and exceptional results. ...This man is extremely cunning and dangerous, with a unique Atma skill at his disposal that few have ever lived to tell of seeing. Be very wary if you encounter him! He may appear unassuming, dull, and perhaps even disinterested...do not be fooled! His mind is filled with Embryon secrets, and upon escaping the base he devoured several Atma Cores that will surely amplify his ability well beyond that of a Captain or Brigadier General. We wish for anyone who encounters him, who wishes to claim this bounty, to try and bring him in alive...but if this proves impossible, authorization to kill is approved. Under no circumstances can Denkuro Shinra be allowed to wander escape and Japan unhindered, lest the country itself be in grave danger!" Bounty Price: 5,000,000 yen and any recovered property.

"Knight" Solaire of Astora, Embryon Captain "Praise the sun!"Glorious!
There was only one word that could be used to describe the sky on a day like this one, where the clouds were nary a blot on the bright blue sky, and the sky itself seemed only fit to be the backdrop for the wondrous, luminous body that gave the world its light and heat and all of the other blessings for which humanity was ever-grateful to her: glorious. Well, that wasn't true. If he thought about it for any length of time (and he so often did, given his obsession with the gaseous mass in the stars that he so readily offered his gratitude) he could think of a multitude of words to describe the sky today. There was glorious, of course, as well as wondrous, magnificent, luminescent, warm, fantastic, majestic, peaceful, intense, brilliant, and if he was feeling really excited and wanted to combine them all together, perhaps something like wondmagneriffic or fantasmagorical! Any of those would have been splendid (another word he could have used to describe her!), but all of them paled in comparison to the real majesty of the glorious sky and its everlasting centerpiece before them all. Words could do it no justice, and simply gazing upon its incandescent body, he could only think to himself that he wished with all his heart to find, for himself, something so marvelous to call his own...or to believe in, at the very least. And as he stood at the height of the Embryon Headquarters' highest peak (the rooftop) and gazed out upon the object of his affection, he raised his arms high and out to the sides...laid his head back...and let her warmth envelop him like the embrace of a loved one.
"Praise the sun..."
He smiled beneath his metallic helm, arms held out wide as he soaked in her rays. Surely, of course, there were other things that needed doing today...and perhaps he might have remembered them, had he not seen such a remarkable glow just beyond his window at the moment of his arrival at the Embryon facilities. Who could resist the view from this spot, after all, after having witnessed the gentle but consistently tender rays of the sun in such a lovely fashion? Everything else could wait. All that mattered at the moment, before anything else, was to simply enjoy the glow before him and all the glory that came with it. Yes, glory...it was glorious...
Perhaps the word had been the most appropriate after all.

Ruri Konpeki (as Steins Gunner)Part of the top of the building simply exploded as a massive bullet shattered the structure just inches away from the man who delighted in praise. "Oy, buckethead! Quit screwing around and report for duty before I shove this somewhere the sun doesn't ever shine!" She hefted up her massive weapon with ease, not at all troubled by the heavy weight of the tool. She'd had a bad day as it was, and the form of Steins Gunner was not in the mood to put up with the antics of a man who was crazy even by the loose standards of the Embryon. Which, among other things, employed Reina. Goodness only knew what had convinced them to let that happen, because it sure hadn't been good sense.
