~The Kirijo Group Dormitory Compound~

A 4-story dormitory compound located on the outskirts of Inaba, near the Amagi Inn, the Kirijo Group Dormitory Compound was built by Kirijo contractors [including Junpei Iori] in order to accommodate the arrival of Group CEO Mitsuru Kirijo for an extended stay and research in the small town. Off-limits to anyone not directly affiliated with or invited by members of the group, or those close to the CEO herself, the dormitory compound houses several former members of the SEES Organization, who are all staying in town for reasons of their own.

Current residents include Akihiko Sanada, who recently left his small apartment building to move in with his former teammate...Mitsuru Kirijo, CEO of the Kirijo Group and temporary resident of the town of Inaba...Junpei Iori, temporarily in town to oversee the completion of Kirijo works in Inaba...Fuuka Yamagishi, currently in town to assist Mitsuru Kirijo with technical aspects of her research. And others.

The layout of the complex has a nostalgic feel to it, with women's dormitories on the third floor and men's on the second. A lobby rests on the first floor with a room for a dorm manager [though there is no current manager], a kitchen, and other amenities. The top floor houses a meeting room and a great deal of complex technical equipment, used for Kirijo research.

And a single room at the back end of the Second Floor dorms remains empty, for reasons unspecified. It is quite possible, however, that this room is left vacant in honor of someone lost...someone special to those who reside within the compound.

Guards are constantly on watch 24/7 outside the compound, and anyone who attempts to enter without clearance from the CEO will be removed from the premises.

It was the Dark Hour yet again, luckily it seemed a fair amount of the equipment and lights still worked in their dorm complex. There wasn't any sort of major operations for SEES-2 to be on so he just was staying up to keep an eye on things and to just sort of read some of the books that had sort of been just sitting on his shelves since he had joined the group, Once there was actual work to be done helping Akihiko and the others he didn't always have as much time to himself to do stuff like pleasure reading between the work of SEES-2 and his school work that he always wanted to keep a decent handle on. Still things weren't all bad. Certainly they were much better then when he had moved here, at least thing were much more stable. Toru took a glance around the area still wondering if anyone else was up still he hadn't really seen many of the members during the break so he was curious how they were doing.

Sylphie

A young woman quietly scratched the side of her head as she looked down at an open textbook. School had started up, so people probably wouldn't be around during the day very much... but at least they'd be back in the evenings most of the time, right? Now that summer was over and they were coming back. Still, it would be such a waste to not do anything on this day before they really jumped into the daily grind again...

Not for the first time, Sylphie thought about how much easier it would have been to go to school with the rest. She was homeschooled, though, and there just hadn't been any desire to change that. On the other hand...

"Everyone!" the girl said, pulling open her door and darting into the hall. "Today's too nice to just sit around all day! Let's have one last day of fun before school really gets into gear!" Come on, somebody be here to hang out!

Anya was subconsciously rubbing the hand that Colm smacked as she sat down on a couch in a dorm. Rekiki was sitting on her shoulder, snoozing slightly. It was a while since the fight had broken out in the gym and it turned out to be a whole fight against a kid turned into a demon.
'In all honestly, dis is still just too weird...'

The different things that had transpired in that gym was still fresh in her mind. The boy changing into some demon who can fling ice and lightning, children shooting themselves to bring about summons to stop him, healing where her injuries were no longer present, Anya slapping him. She shivered alittle, no so much the ice, but the lightning. The teacher still had her childhood fears of storms and this was sort of a reminder. 'At least it wasn't a tornado.'

She looked around, 'I've nevea seen a dorm like dis before. Wha's with de guards.' Given her status as a new teacher, she was still getting accustomed to some of the things in Inaba. 'In all honesty...I am nervous...' Anya thought, awaiting what was going on. 'And how much I owe for da gym equipment.' she chuckled alittle to make herself feel a bit better. Remembering that the lightning turned the sand in the medicine ball that was used as a shield, into glass. That thought was push aside for the moment so she can understand what was going on.

Eiji "Gin" Mishima

User Image
Gin rubbed his temple as he paced back and forth in the lobby, a voice shouting through his phone loud enough for anyone nearby to hear. Thanks to the incident in the Gym, and their decision to bring both the unconscious kid, and the teacher who'd seen everything back to the dorm, he ended up having to blow off a rehearsal for a show his band hand in only two days. Coming so close to crunch time, and then skipping practice, sent his agent and half the agency into a frenzy and he was just waiting now for all the screaming to die down. "Look, tell Masao I'm sorry, something important came up. I'll call them later and explain everything, so just relax." Another round of shouting followed as Gin held the phone away from his ear, wincing teasingly as whoever had taken the call let out the steam they were building up, before putting the cell back to his ear with a wry smile. "Alright, I'll be there tomorrow, promise. Look, I have to go, it's a no cell phone area. Goodbye." The phone clicked closed just as another bout of shouting started to come out, and Gin let out a long sigh of relief as he moved over to one of the brown crouches sitting near the entrance, lowering himself onto the padded comfort as he kicked his boots up on the table, spread his arms along the length of the back rest, and let out a long sigh of relief.

"I'm sorry about that. Our band's really taking off, so there are times when we have shows every day. The fact that the lead singer's blowing practice off must be causing quite a stir. They're probably saying things like, 'What, does he think he's a bad boy?', and the other guys are probably even more furious. There's not much I can do though. Even if it looks like I'm not serious about this, I can't very well tell them that I'm taking time off to fight those..." Gin crossed his legs, eyes shifting to the side as he grimaced for a moment. He really did love music, and hanging out with everyone in the band was fun, but there was a distance he couldn't really close since he'd joined SEES-2 and starting killing Shadows. Although they had the chance to become really big time, he was taking frequent days off to help the team, and that had caused their popularity to suffer. He had no doubts that even if they were friends, there was some resentment towards him too, after he'd started doing some commercials to raise their popularity. It might have looked like he was trying to raise his own solo career, but he really hadn't thought about that at all. When it came down to it though, there was just too much he had to keep hiding...he was lucky he could at least act himself around here.

"You can relax. We just wanted you to come with us so we could clarify some things. You saw things civilians aren't really suppose to get involved with, and worse, we put you in harms way..." Gin said, trying to reassure Anya after taking a single look at her expression. She must have been pretty confused about everything back in the gym, and now things were worse since she'd been brought here almost like it was against her will. If someone told her she could leave at any time, she might not have even believed it. Gin slipped his feet off the table after thinking about it for a minute, straightening up since he was in front of a teacher. The dorm had a relaxed atmosphere, but giving off the impression you didn't care to your elders was only going to make them think you were disrespectful. "But we don't plan on doing anything to you, so I don't want to cause you any worry, Sensei. It's just that you must have a lot of questions, and I'm not really sure what all we're allowed to tell you. I guess saying 'We use special powers to defeat monsters' wouldn't come as a big surprise though, right?" Gin joked, giving the best reassuring smile he could. He waited a few more minutes, hoping to see the familiar silverette come through the door any minute. It didn't seem like he'd arrive a moment too soon, though. Likewise, Gin wasn't sure that he should tell Renee that the place they'd just been actually belonged to the guy in charge, since he was waiting on that guy to come along and do the talking. If he had though, then she might have felt more relaxed about the broken medicine ball though. Well, so it goes, though...

"..I feel like I got hit by a truck and then got hit again when it went in reverse." Colm muttered after groaning in pain. He didn't recall what happened right way but the aching of his body was a pretty good reminder. He went to the Gym, flipped his lip, that creepy voice was in his head, and then he started attacking the others after something took over his body. The other people in the building called it a Shadow.. 'What the hell is a Shadow?.. Man.. I had a feeling those guys from Sumaru hated me already but know they can have a legitimate reason to.' The man reached up, feeling his hat and tipped it down to cover his eyes. He felt horrible all those people in the gym had to get hurt because he was too much of a coward to admit the truth to himself and let his rage get the best of him.

"Wait.. Where am I?" The green haired man sat up, readjusting his hat to glance around the room. This wasn't his apartment and he had never been to this place before. There was only one way to figure out exactly where he went, go look around. Colm didn't like the thought of moving while he was in a world of pain but he could've gotten kidnapped by thugs or something! So after pushing through the searing pain of his body protesting against being forced to move, he was on his feet and out the door. 'This is a nice place and I haven't gotten shot in the face yet so I can rule out being held captive.. A bit of good news.' He thought as he made his way down the stairs and into the lobby area.

It was then Colm saw two familiar faces, the Russian woman and the two-toned haired man who was trying to help him. They both did their part to help him push back the shadow within him and he attacked them during that fight. The hat wearer knew he would have to apologize to them eventually but not immediately.. Oh well, he can't avoid it forever. "Uh.. Hey you guys.. Um.. geez how do I say this?" He hesitated as he tried to find the right words to say. After fumbling around in his head for a moment he decided it was best to just say it. "I'm sorry about all that.. I was an a** and that all shouldn't have happened. I also apologize for hurting you and your friends." He didn't know what kind of group they were but his transformation didn't seem to faze them as badly as it would him if he was in their position.

"Oh uh.. I guess I better introduce myself. I'm Colm Watanabi and I'll be on my way so I don't cause you all trouble again. I'm not sure what the hell I just saw but I'll keep it a secret, not the first freakish thing I've seen."

Rosealine Miina, and Rirouku Muramaro
"No~ You~ Aren't~" a sing-songy voice called out as Colm attempted to escape, a pair of arms squeezing him. "You're not any trouble at all Watanabi! And what happens if your...whatever takes over again?"
Why Yes, Rose was direct about these things...For better or worse. "You shoulda seen some of our other guys....Compared to them, even your shadow was polite."
Why no she wasn't taking a shot at Kyoya. No, not at all.....

"You can't leave things like this, can you McHat?" another voice called, Rirouku leaning against the wall from the side. He had been camping out just from view of the group, and was waiting on the perfect time to move out, and act like he was there all along...Like the badass he was. "You've got questions...and we might have answers. You don't wanna just wander around, grasping at the straws of the stuff that's been going on, do ya?"
Oh yeah...making them look cool. Even if he had far fewer answers than he would like in actuality..

Gin's conversation was cut a bit short when the man of the hour found his way to the front room, but Gin didn't jump up to hold him back right away; if they all started crowding around him, they were just going to freak him out. Worst comes to worst, that thing might take hold again. "You should relax. Your wounds looked pretty bad, you shouldn't push yourself so soon." Gin said, nodding towards Colm. He was still trying to slow down the pace of things since Akihiko had yet to show up, but at the same time it was obvious that they were in control if they looked around for a second. Or more like...it should have been clear to Colm and Anya, that this was their home. No reason to be on edge when you were in a place where you could truly relax. "I'm glad you're alright. That Shadow, or whatever it was that took hold, must have really given you a run for your money. But we know better than to blame you for what it said." Gin folded his arms and made sure he was still sitting straight up as he spoke, motioning for everyone to come find a seat. Nobody liked talking up to others, so it would be nice if they all found a chair and relaxed on equal terms, while at the same time lowering his guard might help Colm to breath a little in a foreign environment. "You should sit down and relax. We're not going to make you stay here, but it'd be a lot of help if you could explain a thing or two for us. And if you have any questions, that guy in charge of this dorm will be here soon...so you can make yourself at home until then, if you please." Gin smiled and nodded towards Colm, trying to make him feel welcome if he could, at least one more time. "The name's Eiji. Eiji Mishima. You can call me Gin if you want though."

Sylphie

"Oh no you don't, buster." Sylphie said as she grabbed Colm's arm and started to physically drag him back towards the room he'd been in. Not that she was terribly strong or anything (she probably weighed less than Colm did, even), but she was clearly putting all of her effort into it. Geez, she'd left him for five minutes for... stuff... and he was already trying to sneak out!? Nuh-uh, no way, she hadn't sat by his side ever since they'd got back just to have this happen. "All of you, he still needs rest after what happened. He can load himself up with questions when he's feeling better." He must've just woken up, and the poor boy was probably terribly confused, and worried about this strange place and what was going on, and who-knew-what else. Bed rest was the only proper thing to have at a time like this, wasn't it? Few people ever recovered from an ordeal with Shadows so quickly... something she knew all too well.

Colm flinched when a pair of arms wrapped around him and someone started tugging on his arm. His body started to ache again and he tried to keep a strong face for as long as he would while the others spoke. "Ow ow ow ow ow ow!! Okay okay!" The man squirmed away from the two girls and took a few steps towards the couches. It was clear they wanted him to stay for some sort of questioning, except for the pink headed one that seemed to want to drag him back to bed. At least they didn't look mad at him and even wanted him to relax. 'Kinda hard to relax when they aren't letting me leave but.. They do have a point. If that thing takes over again I just might get killed.. Geez, what did I get myself into this time?'

"Fine. I'll stay and listen to what you all have to say and I'll answer whatever questions you've got. I owe you all that much after the trouble.. Oh and nice to meet you, Gin. Why do I feel like I've heard that name before?" Colm walked over to sit in a chair, glancing at the others. Gin mentioned that the guy in charge of this dorm was coming back.. He was in a dorm? That was what he least expected. "My shadow was polite? Heh.. That's a shock. Oh, I probably shouldn't have used that word after what happened huh?"

Anya, though the little snores on her shoulder, listened to man on his phone before he got off the line from his band. He apologized and explained what was going on with him and the phone, causing her to nod. She looked back down at her hands before looking at Gin about relaxing. Anya smiled and nodded again with a small chuckle, "In more ways den one. I mean...seeing people shoot demselves on a whim well...dat's something dat can't be unseen when you dink the actuality of it all. In all honesty, I dink dat I put myself in harms way more. I dink normal people would run afta see'n dat. Den again, dis was something dat happened."
When Gin was trying to reassure her, Anya shook her head, "Its alright. I do have a lot of questions, at least I am not like de science teacher." Anya chuckled. "I wouldn't say surprise, it's like watching a work of fiction come to life. Normal people don't summon. Den again, after all dat happened last night and today, I'd say dis day was very eventful to say the least. Makes life little better in a strange way as it seems but hey."

When Colm came down, Anya sighed with relief to see that he was atleast alright and not angry and shooting off lightning and ice. When apologized, Anya waved her good hand, "Diz alright. I was more worried bout ya den the whole ordeal. If I ran, I wouldn't be doing my job right and all does years in college would go to waste. Though I should be apologizing for da medicine ball, da weight and my slap."

When Colm and Gen introduced themselves, Anya slightly nodded, "It's nice to meet you. I'm Anyastasia Renee, but please call me Anya. But please, Colm, I guess we both owe it to dem for listening." she smiled before looking at Gin, "Shadow?" she tilted her head in confusion, almost knocking the hedgehog off her shoulder.

Anya looked at Colm with a chuckle, "Never had a welcome to Japan party like dat before. Course I'd perfer streamers dan lightning. De ice could've been used for a sculpture. Art is very calming sometimes." She smiled, trying to lighten the mood.

"Hard Luck" Hatsu Harima, the Heartbreak Kid
"Aa, I'll stand my ground...I'll help you."

No sooner had Colm seated himself in the chair in the living room than a bowl of warm ramen noodles descended over his shoulder and into his lap, waiting for his fingers to grip at the sides before letting it go. A look to his back would reveal a young man with magenta eyes nodding evenly, a half-smile on his face. "Aa...it wasn't your fault. So don't blame yourself," the university student told him with a stern nod, before moving back towards the kitchen smoothly. On the counter out near the stools where many sat to pass their time in the Dorm, there were several bowls of ramen steaming now, leading one to wonder if the hard luck teen had spent nearly the entire time since he got back preparing a dinner for everyone. ...But then, if he took all that time, why was there only ramen on the counter? Was that really all he knew how to make? "Aa, everyone should eat while we talk. It was a tough fight; you should recover your strength, just in case," he added before lifting the first (and coldest) of the bowls on the counter and dipping in with a pair of chopsticks, seemingly content at the moment to rest on the far-end stool and devour what looked like a rather delicious dinner. It was really a pretty nice gesture if you thought about it, Hatsu making dinner for Colm and the rest of the gang while they talked...why did he seem somehow disappointed, then? And...now that one thought about it, did anybody else smell that distant, lingering scent of burnt seafood emanating from the trash?

"Aa...sorry, Seika," the teen mumbled, disappointment seeming to roll from his shoulders now that he was out of Colm's sight and the need to be strong and cool as he had promised to be during the fight was no longer upon him. Yes, Hard Luck Hatsu had tried to make dinner for everyone, including the notoriously noodle-hating Seika Murakami, the one he wanted to impress more than anybody else. Yes, he had torched the shrimp stir fry he had tried to make separate for her. Yes, he was really only good at making ramen in the first place. And yes, he was almost childishly disappointed at his failure. But of course, he didn't know enough about the shadows and stuff yet to be of much use in the exposition conversation to begin with, and thinking had never really been his strong suit. He was content for now to simply sulk and drown his disappointment in a nice, big bowl of ramen and hope that Seika never realized how lame he was in the kitchen...he had already placed an order to Aiya's for a special dish for her dinner about twenty minutes ago. Of course, it really put a hurting on his train funds to get to university for the next week to order out for her every time he wanted to share a meal, but...hey, if you were going to break a remarkable streak of rejections like his own, you needed to go above and beyond. He was willing to do that for her.

He just shouldn't try cooking for her again. Ever. ...Which, of course, you just knew he would. Hatsu always had been a glutton for punishment...

Akihiko Sanada: Boxer, Detective, Shadow Operative
"Gimmie the good stuff...protein. I need a double shot of protein, fast!"

"Those monsters...we call them shadows. And the power that you saw us use was called Persona," a stern voice came from the doorway, the figure of a rather imposing man with thick muscles and a red cape fluttering behind him visible just as the wooden entrance at his back swung closed. His pants were cargo with a knife holster and a pouch, thought he knife was rarely (if ever) drawn, and upon one shoulder was a satchel likely filled with many of his essentials...the other was clenched tightly around a silver briefcase. What stood out about him most, however, was the fact that the silver-haired man had bandages covering many parts of his body that included his cheek and forehead, and that aside from the cape, pants, boots, and gloves...his scarred torso was completely naked, the chiseled figure visible for all to see. Sweat even seemed to be dripping from his body, as though he had been running all the way here from somewhere quite distant; knowing him and the fact that he was in the middle of the last throes of training for his shot at the Japanese Featherweight Title, it was probably true. Nonetheless, if there was anything that should have shamed him about how he looked he seemed completely oblivious to it, letting out a small breath before crossing the distance between them and setting the case upon the center table, his satchel of personal belongings on the counter of the front desk, fist clenching immediately as if to test out the tenseness in his fingers. Seemingly satisfied, he unlatched the case and opened it. "There's too much to explain all at once, so for your sakes, I'll try to keep this brief. ...This Dorm belongs to the Kirijo Group, with whom we've been associated since our inception. And we are the Second Specialized Extracurricular Execution Squad...or SEES-2, for short. We live here and work together, because we...as persona-users...are the only ones who can defeat the shadows. Anya, Colm, I'd like you both to consider lending us your strength..." the boxer explained, motioning towards the twin evokers and armbands in the case that he had just opened for them, "...From what I heard in Gin's report, Colm...what you experienced was an involuntary transformation similar to what's known as Shadow Possession. It's when a person gives in to their shadow...their hidden desires and suppressed emotions...and it takes over their body, becoming the one in control of your consciousness. Usually this is done voluntarily, but from what I understand, you only seemed to transform when you experienced extreme rage...this is unprecedented as far as I know, so whether or not you join, I'd like you to stay at the dorm for a while so we can get a better understanding of what's happening to you. After all, there's no saying if and when it might happen again...and if we aren't there to stop you when you do, you might hurt a lot of innocent people. That's not a risk I'm willing to take. ...And as for you..."

Akihiko's attention turned suddenly to the teacher, who despite being a little older even than himself, must have been feeling quite like the underclassman in this strange pseudo-lecture. "...I hate to say it so bluntly, but after fighting against the shadows without a persona, you should be dead. One shot from a shadow to a normal person is enough to kill them on the spot. ...You're lucky. Very lucky. Because the fact that you're even alive now is proof that you've got the potential to help us," he nodded solemnly, motioning down towards the evoker with his stern, gray eyes, "Think about it carefully...as long as you have this potential, you're going to keep experiencing things like this, including the Dark Hour. Without your persona, eventually, you won't be so lucky. ...I can't force you to join, but we need more power if we're going to stop what's happening in this town from swallowing it whole...or worse, spreading throughout the country. Ask yourself...what do you want to do, now that you know the truth? Colm, Anya...will you avert your eyes? Or will you stand up and fight?"

It was perhaps a bit cold, but it was the truth laid bare before them. All the whys, hows, and such didn't matter when you got right down to it; what mattered was that there was a war going on in the shadows that protected the world they knew...and now they had the power to help the good guys turn back the darkness. Colm had managed to fight his own shadow from the inside, proving the strength of his constitution...Anya had stood when death was certain and fought back. They were both strong people; what mattered now was if they had the courage to do what was right and the will to do so on instinct. If they said 'no', he wouldn't judge them. He himself had nearly lost the will to fight once, back when Shinji died...but if they stood, he would respect them. And he'd be glad to call both of them a comrade.

Colm jumped a little when a bowl of ramen appeared before him. By reflex he reached up to grab the bowl, looking at the noodles within. He looked to see Hatsu and a small smile came to his own face after listening to all of them. For some reason though by looking at Hatsu the side of his face started to throb in pain. "Thanks.. This has to be the warmest welcome I've had in a while." He said before getting a few bites of ramen down before someone new showed up. The green haired man looked up to see.. 'A half-naked man wearing a cape!? Wait.. That guy looks familiar. I think he's some kind of boxer? Whoa. He's in charge?'

Colm choked down his food and listened to what Akihiko had to say to himself and Anya. The power the others used was called Persona and they called their group SEES-2. His attention was fully grasped when Akihiko explained what happened to him. Shadow Possession. This man seemed to have a better idea of it was than he did though the thought of him staying in the dorm for a few days was a tad annoying. A small frown came to his face as he thought this over, weighting his options. When Akihiko asked them what they were going to choose he looked up at him before glancing down as a pained smile came to his face. "As much as I hate to admit it.. I do agree I should probably stick around here for a few days. For all we know I'm probably too dangerous to be walking around town until we get this mess settled. I've seen too much to try an avert my eyes and it's not like I really have a choice." He trailed off to rub at the mark on his neck. Even if he decided to not join SEES-2, he would be dragged back into danger again.

"But.. I'm not going to take what's happened to me laying down plus this Persona business has me curious.. You've convinced me, I'll join your group." Colm answered, looking back up with a more confident smile on his face. Maybe this will help him not fall victim to that other side of him again and let him get back at the man who did this to him.

It's time to say goodbye
I know that in time
It will just fade away
It's time to say goodbye

Sylphie

HUG!

"I'm Sylphie and I'm your senpai in the group and feel absolutely free to ask me or anyone else any questions you have!" the girl in about four seconds as she grabbed Colm's hand and energetically shook it up and down. More friends meant more Shadows could be killed by their group overall and that was the BEST POSSIBLE RESULT!

Yeah, the girl got a little weird when it came to anything relating to Shadows. But you'd be hard-pressed to find anyone more willing to welcome somebody else and help take care of them. "And... there's lots and lots of stuff to tell you, but for now, we should probably just stick with the basics." There'd be time enough to go into details later; learning too much at once would just result in confusion, so the girl hopped back and put her hands on her hips. "We are the team of heroes who work to destroy the evil Shadows, and we do it with the power of our Personas!"
