Bix was recovering. Ceres had convinced him to not just loaf around. he couldn't really exercise or run right now so he was just strolling. For the sake of appearances he was properly dressed in his Intermediate coat, jeans and a slightly snug t-shirt that said 'Trust Me, I'm a Nerd'. The young man would be broader than when Tika had seen him last, face more chiseled perhaps, but with bigger arms and a beefier chest. He wasn't exactly buff but working out every day for over a year definitely showed on his toned body.

It still didn't change that he was the only albino with a long white braid on the whole damn island.

He was walking slow around the foot path, hand pressed to his lower abdomen where his wound lay hidden and bandaged. With nothing to do but stroll, he caught sight of the girl after a few moments.

He stopped. Squinted. Leaned. And then began what looked like a CHARGE.. well as much of a charge as he could managed with being wounded.

"Yooooou BIIITCH!" Bix was charging but when he got up to her he was grinning and the tanned hunter ended up squeezed in a hug. Of course he winced but he was too happy to see her. "Jesus christ I thought something happened to you!"

Once he was done squeezing her to hell he put Tika back on her feet, hand immediately jumping to his wound as he took a shapr breath. "Sorry I'm uhh recovering.. but s**t! Where have you been!?"

Bix was beaming, pink in the face and absolutely thrilled. "I was worried they threw you back in the pods or something but.." He leaned back and got a good look at her, safe and sound and in shape, more tan. "Looking good!"

Bix hadn't ever really been good with the confidentiality thing. The only thing he'd meant to kept a secret he'd ended up sharing with several people. But Taki had a bag and she looked like she'd come from the Lighthouse from her direction, so being off island seemed to be the only assumption he could make.

"Oh uh.. Well it's been a while, yeah?" Bix pulled up his shirt to show her the bandage and then delicately peeled it away to show her the 8" stitched wound between his abs and his hip bone.

"Ran into a Reaper in the Haunted House." He pushed the taped edge back down. Ceres would probably be pissed he was fiddling with it. "She got in a lucky shot. How are YOU?!"

Bix snorted and pulled his shirt back down. When she called him buff he simply turned pink. There were buffer, hotter guys around. Not that he was looking at guys, but his own self worth was pretty low recently. "Actually she really didn't get nearly as beat up as I did.."

He obliged and took her bag, slinging it over his shoulder on the non-wounded side. "Well we had Insanity infest the island." He wasn't sure if she'd learned about it wherever she was or had been updated. Perhaps she came back now because the portals had been down during the Insanity outbreak? "Maybe you heard. The portals were all screwed and we were sleeping in a bunker. Ummm you may want to make sure your dorm didn't get totally wrecked."

He looked sheepish as they headed for the dorm building. "I... forgot to check your room.."

"Yeah pretty much. People having sleepovers.. people sleeping on floors. Oh Gale got promoted to ACTUAL HUNTER now so he has a house in Town. Couple people staying with him." Bix readjusted her bag. "If your s**t's wrecked you can sleep in my room. Sort of had a rotating door of people who needed space. Got this blanket pillow floor thing going on. But.. with my injury, people are in and out alot.. fretting over me." He turned pink but smiled.

They were on the path now, headed for the dorms though it was a few minutes walk. "Insanity? Well it's like twisted messed up FEAR. Things are grey and cracked looking and when you get infected you hear voices and see things.." he frowned. It wasn't really cool or fun. It was pretty shitty.

"I had it for like a week."

Bix grinned on Gale's behalf. He was proud of him too. Maybe they could all learn to buckle down a little more, take some pages from the younger man's book. "I'm geting there. Promotion. I think... I don't really know but this wound is definitely a bit of a setback."

No training. No sparring. No HH patrols. Bix was starting to get antsy for that new coat seeing them crop up here and there among the trainees.

"I can do bad movies and popcorn." Bix laughed but he did give her a punch back to the shoulder. "You have been gone long. No one cares about that kind of stuff. Theres like some threesome of guys who are.... well.. " Bix shrugged. "I dun care for the details but seems like nowadays anything goes." He gave her the side eye. "Unless I'm just too damn manly and you won't be able to control yourself in my presence, Tika." The albino leto ut a teasing chuckle.

"I know all this is so hard to resist." He rubbed his chest and made ridiculous faces that he was assuming were sexy ones. He looked constipated.

"Yeah the Insanity is similar I dunno exactly what causes it but... we sort of annhilated a whole race of people... so the Insanity was our payback I guess." he still tried to just ignore that they had did that. He knew how awful the horsemen had been, how many they had killed, but perhaps Bix wasn't much of a murderer.

"I'm pretty hot stuff.." He stretched, momentarily forgetting his wound, and then winced and held it again. He really needed to be careful.

Finally near the dorms, he readjusted her bag. "Well we went to some... places." He didn't want to elaborate on the horror. He had to vividly describe to Ceres the other day, another MIA hunter reappearing, and had relived it enough for this week. "There was some mystical stuff and a bomb. You know.. always a bomb."

Bix made a kaboom with his hands, "Kapooooooowww. The islands they lived on just... fell." Exploded, crashed, destroyed. "And their... souls formed this massive Insanity phoenix and it came through the portal, a little bit of it, and invaded the island."
