Hi guys. Pad here. Now we've been looking at the Kido list and we'd like to expand on it a bit. Now while we'll be adding in some of the Kido ourselves we'd like to ask you, the members, to come up with Kido for the missing slots.

In total we'll need 74 Bakudo, 81 Hado and any Chiyudo (Healing Spells) you can think of. That means we're aiming for a minimum of around 255 new Kido. This means there's about 25500 gold up for grabs total.

Assuming you created every single new Kido.

In the following two posts you will find a format for writing new Kido and a list of all currently existing Kido. Also in this post I am going to give out the rules of new Kido creation.

Rules

(*) Only use each Kido number once until we exhaust numbers. While it is okay to use the same number twice we want to avoid it. Using the same number twice before exhausting all possible numbers is grounds for an instant rejection of the Kido. (Unless we really really like it)
(*) Every Kido successfully accepted onto the greater Kido list entails a reward of 1000 gold. Once we've reorganised our list of Kido and have worked out how much we owe each person we'll send it over.
(*) The competition will go on until we have completed each list of 100. This may mean the Kido list will not be completed until long into the RP. At this point we will still give out rewards for Kido successfully added.
(*) After completing a list the reward for further Kido will be halved for that list also the process of accepting a Kido will be more harsh and Kido which do not add anything to the Shinigami arsenal will be promptly rejected.
(*) When designing a Kido follow the template.

Kido Number:
14
Kido Class: chiyudo
Kido Name: Pressure Gauze
Kido Chant: I believe chiyudo has no chant.
Appearance: as webs oozing from the castors palms, when spread out it looks like gaudy lace.
Effects If spread over a victim it will apply forceful pressure to wherever it is placed. It can be used for packing wounds and keeping uncooperative patients stay down. The webs are a glistening shade of platinum, the thinner the area between each thread of the web, determines gauge of the web. Bigger spaced webs are used for less pressure, the tighter knit spaces are used for more; the design the web produces varies from person to person.

That's a nice start but I want to clarify and include some extra details.

I don't mind if a Chiyudo has no chant. I'll leave it as optional. Healing Kido aren't entirely canon to be honest.

These webs. What colour are they? What pattern do they emerge in? Does this depend on the caster? Currently I could see it as white spider web but I'd like some clarification.

Furthermore isn't it technically a Bakudo? Is it a healing spell of a restraining spell first? I'd like further clarification to which it is. Could there be a Chiyudo and a more advanced Bakudo version of it?

Also do you mind if we add flavour text later?

Thanks for your entry though. I like the idea and I think we'll be adding it in.

oh alrighty i will definetely edit the answers to those questions into the form. Also i do not mind if you add flavor text, i just couldn't think of anything. Also per the question of bakudo, i will definitely add a stronger bakudo spell that roots from this now that you've sparked a secondary idea, the idea for this one was basically to have something for packing wounds.

Right I'll be adding that into the list and crediting you.

I'll be making a few small edits but nothing serious.

Kido Number:
40
Kido Class: (Bakudo,
Kido Name: Mummification Gauze
Kido Chant: Ancient webbing's spiral, glisten in the moon Mummify your victim, drag them to their tomb.
Appearance: Tight knit projectile webs shoot from the castors palm in long strides, mummifying the victim in spirals. This web is platinum colored, and the pattern within it, although always thick varies from user to user.
Effects From the inside faces of the gauze radiates pressure that shoots into the victim to bind them and leave them unable to move, the pressure is more intense in patches of the web that are more dense, than loose, this can be controlled by squeezing the palm while ejecting the gauze. The gauze will tightly stick to the victim and be pushed inwards from the pressure to tighter strangulate them. To stop the webs prematurely (and not cover the entire body) the caster can cut the webs from their palms with the use of their forefingers.

Since you've made this mistake thrice now I'm going to correct you.

Castor the way you've spelt it refers to a type of oil or plant. When we're talking about casting a spell it's Caster. This is just for future reference so you don't make the same mistake.

The chant's good. Nice that you made it rhyme a bit because I'm fond of rhyming. I'm not too bothered if they're in English or Japanese since although the Shinigami are culturally Japanese we're English speakers at the end of the day.

Once again more details on the colours. Treat me like a blind, deaf idiot when writing these things. I'm assuming platinum but I can't make assumptions about your Kido.

Hypothetically could this Kido also be used to strangulate enemies if you wrapped it around their necks hard enough as well? I'd like clarification on other possible offensive uses of it.

But this is a good Kido. Not what I was expecting but I'll add that one in myself too.

Also your Kido is up with my flavour text. If you'd like me to change it I can.

Nice. I'll be adding that one in too. I might also introduce a modified version of this with a higher rank with your permission as I can see a final possible branch for it as a more offensive Kido.

One final thing I thought about though I'll be adding it. Hypothetically could this Kido be used for pulling objects to you as well as getting stuff sticky?
PostPosted: Thu Jul 05, 2012 3:38 pm

i didn't really think of them being sticky, since the face i was focused on would be pressure sensitive, but if it's the opposite face i don't see why that couldn't be a possibility.

you definetely have permission to make other attacks based on this premise.

I see. It's just the spells reminded me somewhat of a spider for some reason.

There may be adapted sticky reiatsu versions was the idea.
