Lakonale was drifting along in no particular direction at all. After that meeting with the male lion who had offered her advice and shared his great knowledge with her, she had held her head up high. No longer did she ponder the past too much. Though she did think of home quite often but in a happy way. Her memories of her family would always be cherished.

While in thought, a beautiful butterfly landed on her nose briefly before flitting away. Lakonale couldn't help the huge grin that exposed her teeth. The memories of chasing bugs at night surfaced. She decided to follow it, see where it lead her. Bugs had never led her in a boring direction before.

Barsaat had been resting in a patch of flowers. Or, what he thought was flowers. His eyes were open, and he was watching the bugs fly past, a few of them were butterflies, they tempted him, but he didn't wish to move. Not yet. He was enjoying his down time. He had been on his feet all morning after all. The only way he'd be getting up, is if someone decided to come along and chat to him. He loved to play with others.. Though, it made him feel a bit strange when passing by creatures would give him odd stares.

They didn't understand why an adult could act so childish. He didn't understand how they didn't want to play. Of course, he'd always been that way. He never lost his child-like attitude. His tail flicked back and forth as he watched happily at the bugs about him. He'd swat at one or two if they got close enough, but it was a half-assed effort.

Lakonale was humming some made up tune as her paws stepped one in front of the other almost thoughtlessly. Her eyes were zeroed in on the butterfly that flitted to and fro in front of her. It seemed like it had a destination in mind. Sure enough they came across what looked like a lovely patch of flowers. She would have reveled in such a find if she had been the first one to find it. But there was another here. It was an actual leopard.

She wouldn't have been able to stop her smile even if she wanted to. This was the first leopard she had ever encountered in the rogue lands since she had left what she had considered to be her home. It had been smart of her to follow that butterfly.

"Hello." Lakonale walked right up to him, careful not to crush the flowers. She liked company and hoped he would be happy to suddenly have company too.

His attention turned from the bugs around him to the leopard who was now there. A young one, he could tell, she was much smaller then the last female he had run into. He greeted her with a warm welcoming smile. "Hello, there!" he said as friendly as he could. He had yet to run into someone who gave him problems, so everyone he met he always greeted with happiness. He had no care in the world, and was careless when meeting others. He never even thought about running into danger.

"What brings you here, miss?" He said as he sat up from laying down. Grass clung to parts of his pelt. He didn't notice, so there they stuck on to his fur. Some bits of flowers as well. He didn't mind squishing them if they made a nice bed. After all, there were hundreds of them.

Lakonale felt relief that he seemed friendly. She wouldn't know what to do if one were to suddenly be mean to her. In her experience, everyone was nice to her. Her eyes took in all the bits of earth and plants stuck to him. He had really nice blue fur. She sat down, seemingly without care for crushing whatever she sat on. If she was going to be that careful, she'd just stand the whole time.

She turned to look at the butterflies fluttering around. "I followed a butterfly here. I had nowhere to go and the butterfly offered me direction. Bugs are always interesting." Maybe she'd just follow bug after bug in her journey to explore and learn.

"Well, the butterfly sure had somewhere for you to go, little lady." He said with a smile. Sometimes bugs knew more than you did. Or at least, that's what he thought. "I follow them all the time" He admitted, he had no problem doing so. He couldn't help but smile, he'd never had a frown on his face, at least not that he could ever remember. He was always nice to everyone. "I'm Barsaat" He said with inclining his head. "I am not from around here, but like you, a butterfly showed me the way a while ago. " He said with a nod.

He wouldn't mind finding another butterfly to play a little game, but he hadn't seen one for a little bit. Maybe they had become too noisy, but that was rarely the case. He didn't think they had ears.

Lakonale gave him a big smile in return. "I guess the butterfly meant for me to meet you. Bugs always had a way of leading me to new friends." The only one she had met so far with no bug to guide her had been Drakma, the wise lion. In general though, she found that bugs always knew where they were going and could lead one on great and fun journeys. As a cub, she hadn't gone as far as she traveled now.

She followed his lead and inclined her head also. "Nice to meet you Barsaat. I am Lakonale." Her eyes couldn't find any butterflies near them at the moment but when she had first arrive there had been many. Not surprising considering how much flowers were around. They really liked their flowers.

He'd never really found anyone with bugs. He generally just followed them and seen where they lead him. Normally it was to another place with nothing there but flowers, or some other type of thing they liked. He had no problem with this, however. He smiled at her. "What a lovely name." He said in return and glanced about again before reaching her eyes.

So they were alone now, but he would think there would be some bugs soon. It didn't take long before a butterfly came back to an area, they did need something that flowers had, but he never really wanted to find out what. He only wanted to pay attention to the butterfly that was around the flower. He had chased many in his day, but never did he chance them with someone.

Everything called for a new adventure, he figured. There was always a beginning to everything. "Say, if we see another one, we'll have to follow it and see what it shows us." He said with a nod. Yes, that seemed like a splendid idea. Of course, he hoped she thought so too, it was hard to get someone else to go with his ideas, they always looked at him weird and thought he was crazy. Maybe, just maybe, today was different.
