This is the home of the art professor, Solomon Griffith. Paintings cover the living room walls, various art magazines laid across the coffee table. The second bedroom has been transformed into an art studio, a menagerie of easels and drawers full of paint and brushes filling the room; the once white walls have been transformed into a series of murals painted into each other covering most of the wall. Canvases, both blank and painted, line the long wall. A single dark wooden easel stands in the far corner, the canvas covered by a white cloth. Living RoomBedroomKitchen

"Hello, I'm Aurora Solindo. Care To Dance?" While it was nearing the end of the week, Aurora had not forgotten her agreement to stop by Solomon's room. She'd managed to get reaquainted with Reed's and living on campus, and her new activity as part of the cheer squad kept her fairly busy. However, the afternoon of today was completely open to whatever she felt like doing, and she found herself here at around four, hoping that it wasn't too far past two o'clock to be stopping by. Raising her hand, she knocked on the door, giving it three short raps before replacing her arms behind her back, her fingers intertwining by a nervous habit.

※Destiny Is Calling Me
Hearinga knock at his door, Solo looks up from the canvas he had been sketching on. Setting the pencil along the front ridge of the easel, he moved out of the spare room and towards the door. Pulling it open, he's mildly surprised to find Aurora. He had been starting to think that she had changed her mind about coming, but it seemed she had followed through on her promise. "Hello. Please come in." he stepped to the side, giving her room to enter. He was wearing a paint stained black apron, what he usually wore while painting, as well as jeans and a plain black t-shirt. The teacher was glad that she hadn't actually forgotten him, as the painting was something he wasn't quite sure what to do with. He was hoping that, from her reaction, he could come to a better decision than hiding it under a cloth in the corner.

"Hello, I'm Aurora Solindo. Care To Dance?" Once the door was opened, Aurora relaxed slightly, responding to his greeting withher own, "Hello." Stepping inside, she let her hands drop to her sides while taking in his appearance for a few moments in the quiet that followed. The fact that he was an artist was quite obvious now; his apron portrayed paint that she could smell faintly from where she stood. She smiled faintly, trying to make sure that her prescence wasn't ill times as she spoke, "I was afraid that I was coming too late. I hope that I'm not?" She could easily come at another time, since she knew that most who worked on projects didn't like interruptions, and Solo was someone she would not want to displease; not while he'd been so kind in the past and he still had a debt to collect.

※Destiny Is Calling Me
Closingthe door behind her, he motioned for her to follow him as he moved across the living room and into the other room through a wooden arch where a door had once been. "Oh no, you're fine. I was just sketching, actually." he pointed at the white canvas, a faint grey outline of someone vaguely female visible from where they stood. He reached behind himself to tug at the knot in the apron, removing it and hanging it up on a hook just inside the doorway. The room smelled faintly of paint, though the large windows were thrown open to counterbalance the fumes. "But that's not what you're here to see." he moved across the room, stepping around another easel with a landscape painting left to dry in the open air. Moving to the corner, Solo stops in front of what could only be an easel with a white cloth thrown over it. "I painted this a while ago, but I could never figure out what to do with it." he admitted, removing the cloth carefully to unveil it. Underneath was a portrait of the woman's sister, her expression one of peace; her hair was arranged neatly, and what one could see of the shirt was simple but accented the color of her eyes. The background was abstract, a flowing of colors that communicated calm, though they were neither gaudy or distracting. "It's honestly the best portrait I've ever done." he admitted, studying the smooth face and bright eyes.

"Hello, I'm Aurora Solindo. Care To Dance?" Following him into the room, she paused at the doorward for a moment, surprised to see that not one of the walls of the room was still white. Instead, each one formed a picture, blending into the next without an obvious break. Hearing his mention of a sketch, she glanced over to the canvas indicated, just able to see the beginning of a picture, before her eyes moved back to the walls. The only other place she'd seen so much art was in the palace's room dedicated to such thing, but it had seemed rather boring then. While the work at home was beautiful, it was framed and put up, as if being tamed. Sighing wistfully, she focused her attention back to Solomon, nodding as he spoke of what she'd come to see. When he removed the sheet to the easel, she was able to study the portrait.
Seeing her sister painted so finely brought a soft smile to her face. The shirt she wore brought Aurora's attention back to the eyes, then up to the hair, which was just the right shade of green to belong to Dawn. Her gaze shifted to take in the background, and she found that the colors were just right to convey a sense of serenity; The same feeling she would always feel from her level-headed twin. "It's...honestly the best protrait I've ever seen." she told him softly after a few minutes, choosing to reiterate his own words. Turning enough to face him, she flashed a bright smile before moving to hug him, letting just a thread of her magic escape her. She was a siren of happier feelings, and she was sure that the magic would help him to understand just how pleased she was to see her sister immortalized so...perfectly. "Thank you. For showing me." She stepped back, letting him go as she returned her attention to the portrait to make out a few finer details.

Noticingthe way she seemed to stare at his murals, the griffen looked almost sheepish; he had painted the walls on a whim, and he knew that they could use some work. However, that wasn't what she was here to see, and he didn't want to distract her. He watched her expression carefully as she studied the painting, unsure of her reaction until she spoke. About to object at her compliment, he stopped when she turned and smiled at him. He was taken by surprise when she hugged him, and after a moment of recovery, he hugged her back. The magic that hit him made him pause, he'd never been hit with someone else's magic when it wasn't an attack, but he chose not to comment as it was a rather happy feeling. He looked a bit embarrassed after she pulled away, but he hid such by turning to look at the painting again. "I think... if it's not too much trouble, that I'd like you to have it." he paused, inspecting his work carefully. "I don't care if you shove it in a closet, but it just feels... right that you should have it." he didn't want her to feel pressured, but something told him that it didn't really belong with him.

"Hello, I'm Aurora Solindo. Care To Dance?" Looking up to Solomon as he spoke again, her eyes widened slightly at the offer. She would have frowned, willing to point out that he could make money off such a wonderful painting, even if a person didn't know who it was of. Instead, she remained quiet for a few moments, knowing that this portrait would have to be shown to her mother, at the least. "That would be very gracious of you. I would be extremely happy to accept it." she told him, her smile returning with force as she faced him to speak. Of course, she was sure that her mother would deman that the griffin be given some sort of pay in return, but when she remembered his almost refusal of a debt, she chose to keep quiet about it for now. Let someone drop money off with a note, then he simply would have to keep it. "It would never be stuck in a closet." she added after another moment, wanting him to understand how well liked and enjoyable this art was by her.

Noting the look on her face, he finally smiled once she agreed to take it. "I think you and your family will appreciate it more than a rich man or an art gallery." he explained, glad to hear that his greatest piece wouldn't end up in a closet or covered up again. He slipped one hand loosely in his pocket, silently pleased that his art could make someone so happy. "I know that you'll take care of it, though I'm glad to hear it won't be in a closet." he had been hiding it in this corner, unable to look at it every day but also unable to shove it somewhere or get rid of it. It was a relief to see Aurora again, to be able to give her something to immortalize the sister he could tell she had loved. "I'll get a canvas carrier. It'll make it easier to carry and it'll protect it from whatever harm could come from the outside."

"Hello, I'm Aurora Solindo. Care To Dance?" Considering her own reaction to the portrait, she was inable to disagree with his statement. "We will." she told him simply, sure that her family would cherish this painting along with the memory of her sister. Looking more like her usual cheery self, she nodded to the mention of a carrier. It would be terrible if something was to get on the painting, especially when even he had admitted that it was one of his best. "Thank you. Will you need any help?" she asked, not wanting Solomon to have to go through any more trouble on account of her or her family.

※Destiny Is Calling Me
As she accepted his offer of a carrier, he moved to a large trunk situated beneath one of the windows. Opening it, he bends down to dig about a moment before coming back up with a thick plastic rectangle with handles. "No, it's fine." he politely turned down her offer of help, knowing that it would be better to do it himself. Closing the trunk, he opened the carrier and laid it on top of the trunk to inspect it a moment. Yes, this would do just fine. Moving back to the easel, he carefully picked up the canvas to carry back to the trunk. Laying it inside the plastic, it fit just a bit loosely inside the lined carrier. Looking about, he picks up a few of the clean white rags on the floor behind the trunk, tucking them in along the bottom and side of the canvas to secure it snugly. This way, it wouldn't jostle while being carried. He closed the carrier, knowing the plastic rim on the opposite side, covered with a smooth fabric that wouldn't scratch, would hold it firmly in place. Snapping the metal closures into place, he knew that the painting was now secure. "It's all set." he turned to face Aurora, a small please smile on his face.

"Hello, I'm Aurora Solindo. Care To Dance?" For a few moments, she stood by as he went in search of the carrier. Once he politely rejected her offer, she nodded, then turned to study the murals that ran along the walls. They were interesting, and she enjoyed noting certain details within each section that she hadn't noticed at first glance. Clasping her hands behind her back, she took a few steps around, letting him take care of the painting by being quiet. Once he finished and stated so, she turned back to face him. "Thank you." She moved toward the painting, letting a hand drop to the handles to test the weight. It wasn't as heavy as she's assumed, so she carefully lifted the bag, speaking to Solo once she was sure she wouldn't drop it. "Remember, if you ever need anything, my family will help."

Allowing her to take the carrier, he resisted the urge to sigh at her words. "I will be sure to keep this in mind." he didn't think he would ever require such help, but he knew better by this point than to say so. There didn't seem to be much use arguing with Aurora, so he didn't try. He wasn't very good at arguing anyway. "If you ever need a painter, you know where to find me." it was his attempt at a joke, though he wasn't very good at such. He smiled faintly, the expression both pleasant and polite; he was both relieved that the painting was going where it truly belonged, as well as that this girl wasn't holding some sort of grudge against him. With the painting settled away safely and off to his new home, what he had wanted to do was done; Solo would escort her to the door, as it was only polite.
