In the vast country of Suadi Arabia, there is a family known not only for its wealth, but for the wisdom that seems to lurk within every member. This line is several centuries old, dating back to the Ottomans themselves. They are rich with tradition and custom, and is widely accepted as being the most influential of families. Yet, there is a branch that fell from grace after rumors were spread long ago. The gossip pertained to the ideas of 'dark magic', where one could conjure up anything in the form of a wish. The clan was forced to leave their desert home, and migrate northwest to Greece, and eventually Italy. Generations passed quickly enough and the family kept their knowledge of the magical world a secret, fearing that would be chased once again. Slowly, the rare blood was thinned, and magic became a strange story to tell children.
One day, however, the stories were made real once more. A man, now rather distant from the Arabian line, married a women whose own heritage carried something odd: a gene that is closely associated with special humans, the kind that belong within the magical veil. This gene mixed strangely with the man's own amount of inhuman blood, which was discovered to be that of a genie's. Their daughter was born with the ability to catch snippets of thoughts and emotions, along with the power to grant wishes, should her personal requirements be met, just as their first son.
From the moment she was born, Rebecca was taught about magic and the veil. Her brother's discovery of talants had ensured that she would be taught and kept safe when she learned about her abilities. Though usually overwhelming, she has managed to gain a shaky control over her talants. However, her parents agreed that attending Reed's would be very beneficial, and she agreed readily.
Personality:
Rebecca is kind at heart, but she tries to remain aloof from most people. Her abilities make her feel rather guilty at certain times, so she'll often stop talking mid conversation to put a check on her emotions and thoughts. She prefers to heal rather than hurt, making her arguments with others appear one-sided, as her voice hardly every raises past a normal speaking tone.
Hobbies:
In her spare time, she volunteers at an animal shelter in the city. When not there she is either speaking with the biology teacher or the charms and curses professor. With the goal of becoming some sort of doctor in the future, most of her activities include learning about healing techniques. Occasionally, she'll spend time in the kicthen with her brother, learning all she can about cooking.
