This had easily been one of the strangest days of Jinhai's life. He had come all this way to support Austin in going to meet his grandparents for the first time knowing it could be a very stressful situation. To the Chinese wizard's joy they had been wonderful. Far more open to the two teens' relationship, Jinhai was thrilled to meet these people who were apart of Austin's family. He had never met any of Austin's family before and honestly he had been very curious about what kind of family he came from. Sure he had heard about the but that was a totally different situation. A lot of things could be changed in a story where as meeting a person brought a much different perspective to the party. Isabelle, Austin's grandmother, had lead them to the small cottage that was going to be theirs for the summer and frankly Jinhai was a bit speechless. Small was putting it lightly but the Brightons almost seemed to have more money then needed not that Jinhai minded. He was still hopeful on getting a job or at least some inheritance to spoil Austin with.
The pair had been left alone and Jinhai let out a small giggle one that was slightly surprised and half nerves.
"House? Is that what you call this in England? To me it looks more like a small mannor." Jin answered as he gazed about the room. It was lovely to put it lightly and so very....English. Jin couldn't help the smile on his face at the prospect of having a place that he shared only with Austin. That thought seemed to be shared by the two as Jin turned a pale red along with his love. Squeezing the hand that gripped his lightly he turned his chocolate colored eyes on the man who stole his heart.
"Explore a bit maybe. Relax a little to your piano. Or just lay about and do nothing. I am content as long as I'm with you." Jin answered after a moment or to of deliberation. Their afternoon seemed to slip by as the pair did just about all of that. After a more thorough tour of the cottage they settled down to Austin's piano for a while. Before long though Jin found himself falling asleep against Austin's chest not a thought in his head about meeting for dinner.
A few hours later Jin stirred back awake, relaxed and rested. It felt nice to be here, alone, with Austin. They never got much of a chance at that when Austin still lived with Jin's aunt and uncle but that was understandable. The Trinity's were busy people with a business to run and a new grandson. Something about that though made Jinhai sit up quickly. Oh no! They were supposed to meet for dinner!
"Wuai get up." Jinhai said shaking him lightly.
"Austin we fell asleep. We're going to be late for dinner!" He continued as he climbed up out of the bed. His tunic was a rumpled mess. Sighing he stripped it off going for the closet to fish out a fresh, unwrinkled one.
"Oh I do hope they won't be made. Maybe we should tell them its my fault? I did say I would make sure we would be there after all." Great now he was panicked. This was going to be a long evening.
