The sky had been cloudy during the day. Tat had noticed this. However, the cub could not put two and two together at why there had been a moon the night before and now there was only a few scattered stars here and there. No moon could be seen as far as Tat was concerned. She'd not lived through many phases of the moon so all of this stuff was new to her. Not to mention the possibility that clouds could obscure or even block out the moon as a whole seemed silly. Only day time had clouds. Night time had stars.
At least this was Tats thought process.
She sat alone tonight. Not to far off from her mother and siblings but far off enough to have some breathing room. She couldn't get over the idea that the moon was gone and no one was saying anything. The teachings of the pride were still not all introduced to such a young cub. Her ignorance of her innocence still hung heavy on her.
Every now and then there was a tail flick. And then she attempted to stand on two paws to reach the sky. This of course resulted in her tumbling over and falling to her side.
"Opphhh..." She closed her eyes and winced. Pain was still a new concept in it self as well. Tat did not cry though. She only laid there a little while and tried to think of why she couldn't fix the sky.

Bili did not often stray from his den but this was one of those nights when he simply couldn’t stay still for too long. It hadn’t been a very good idea it seemed, as the young lion had found himself in a mess of thorny bushes and every time he walked, the pale juvenile now felt an uncomfortable prickling in unexpected places. He had started feeling quite miserable, making his way to the den after what he considered a failed adventure, when he saw a cub. She was younger than he ever remembered being and he realized that she was about to lose her balance. Bili moved closer with quick steps in order to soften her fall but unfortunately didn’t make in time to help the little cub.
“Are you alright?” he asked automatically, lowering his purple eyes to look at the little female. He then looked up and all around them, searching for a leaf or bug that might’ve caught her attention. There were many scratches on his face and body, proof of his previous struggle against the mean foliage. “What were you doing?”

There was an unfamiliar voice that didn't sound like either one of her parents or litter mates. The pink cub slowly opened her eyes to find an unfamiliar white cub standing there. She slowly rolled to her belly. There was a frown sitting firmly on her maw. "The skies broken," She informed the boy. "I tried to fix it but the sky is broken." She frowned, "I don't know what to do." Tatkret was dead serious. She really didn't know what to do and she really did believe that some how the sky had been broken. And to her credit, she had tried to fix it but fell over. Now she was staring up at this cub with a very serious expression. All she wanted was the moon to come back. "Who are you?" She tilted her head at the cub.

“Broken?” Bili looked up with a frown – as anyone would after being told the sky was broken – and found no hint of a disruption above. No visible crack or hole. On the contrary, considering the amount of dark clouds, the young lion couldn’t see anything at all. “I don’t see anything wrong with it.”
He looked down again and circled the young cub, inspecting her for hidden injuries but found nothing worth worrying over.
“I’m Bili. Bili’Dryagan. And you?” he looked up again, still looking for something strange or different. “You didn’t get hurt, did you? Were you trying to reach the sky? It’s too high for that. Even if you climb to the top of a tree, you can’t reach it.”

"Its not broken?" This was actually good news to Tatkret but it still didn't answer where the moon could have gotten to. She looked at Bili expectantly as if he was able to reveal all the secrets of the sky it self. Instead of going on about the sky and why it was not broken he was asking about her. Tatkret smiled.
"My names Tatkret and ... uhhh." She looked up at the sky and then down at her paws. It didn't seem like she was hurt to her. Maybe she was? Maybe she was broken and not the sky.
"I think Im okay? ... Your sure the skys okay?" Tatkret was concerned.

Bili chuckled nervously when he realized the cub was staring at him with a sudden intensity he could not comprehend. He wondered what she was thinking but the cub was still young enough to think the sky might be broken so he figured her thoughts might be that easy to grasp even if he tried.
“I think so.” He replied firmly when she sought confirmation on the sky’s… umh, well-being. Being older that the little lioness, he felt it was his job to look confident and reassure her that everything was alright. “You can’t really see it because of the clouds but I’m sure everything’s fine. There’s not even lightning or thunders, it seems pretty calm up there.”

Mogami Im so sorry this tag took longer than it should have ; n ; <3 Tatkrat had no other option than to take this cubs word that the sky was in deed alright. She gave him a relieved smile. "But the clouds only come out in the day time," Tat informed the boy. Didn't he know that clouds were usually white and usually very visuable? The female automatically liked this cub. He had a very strange but fun since of humor. However a cub could only keep focus on such poetic things for so long. Tatkret was already starting to lose interest in the sky and starting to gain more interest in the boy before her. "Hey. Wanna play a game?" She gave him a simple grin. "You know like maybe. Uh. Maybe. Find the moon here some where~"

“No, no… clouds are…” she wasn’t listening anymore, he could tell. He offered the cub a resigned smile, listening to her words as he made an effort not to laugh. Finally he looked around the sky and pointed up.
“See over there? That part of the sky is a bit lighter, right? That’s where the moon is. The clouds go where the wind goes. They don’t disappear at night, you just can’t see them because it’s dark.“ Well, someone had to tell her about the clouds. He’d rather play along with her ignorance but that wouldn’t be very responsible… or nice. “So we don’t have to look for the moon.” Wait, had he just ruined her game idea? “But umh… we can look for a substitute moon. Something pale…” he looked around and then finally down at himself and grinned.
“How about this? I’m mostly white so I’ll be the moon. And you have to find me.” He was turning it into a game of hide-and-seek, apparently.

The lioness blinked as the young boy cub explained. She wasn't sure if she was sure she wanted to believe him or not. But she listened about the clouds. Her maw hung half opened. She looked as if she'd heard some sort mind numbingly blowing discovery which in a way she had. Kind of. Dark night clouds? Far fetched but possibly possible as well. "Wait? Your the moon?! Then I have to put you back in the sky!" She'd not really been paying attention to what all was being said apparently. But the game was on. Tat closed her eyes in a serious way. "Okay moon. You hide but I am putting you back in the sky when I find you!"

"You know I'm just..." Bili sighed, a playful smile taking over his expression. He'd been about to explain to the young cub that he was not really the moon and that all this was all just a game. But it seemed like too much fun to let her believe something so ridiculous and the white boy was simply too young to always take the mature and responsible route.
"That's right. You should do that. I'm starting to miss it up there." he told her with a perfectly straight face before darting off to look for a suitable place to hide. It couldn't be too perfect or the cub would probably grow bored and frustrated so Bili finally chose a small cluster of tall bushes as his hiding spot but left a hint of his tail tuft peeking out. Even if she wasn't able to follow him by trail or scent that should be enough help from his part, Bili thought to himself as he settled himself comfortably in his dark hiding place.

She was completely in belief. Her young over active imagination was in hyper drive with the fact that here was the moon. The other cub was doing a good job of keeping the fact that he was indeed the moon. That straight face went a long ways. Tat closed her eyes so that the moon could go ahead and hide. When it felt like long enough she opened her eyes once again. "Okay moon! I am going to find you!" She started off in the wrong direction in heavy search of the male. Where ever she looked he was no where to be found. To be fair, Tat was terrible at these sort of games. Something bright caught her eyes. The clouds had given way enough to let the real moon peek out. Tat frowned up at it. "Hey no fair! You can't hide up there!"

Bili’s head came out of the bushes in order to tell the cub that this was a perfectly acceptable hiding spot and he couldn’t possibly see what problem she could have with it. When he realized she wasn’t looking in his direction but instead she was actually looking UP, he hid again, doing his best to suppress a wave of giggles that was rumbling in his chest.
After a brief moment of hesitation, he slid out of the other side of the bushes as silently as he possibly could and crawled away from the little cub. He would love to be there when she returned to her family and told them she’d just been playing hide-and-seek with the Moon!
