Samandariel, or Saman, had found a cozy hollowed out tree trunk to rest in. This tree trunk had turned in to his personal home for the most part. The tree trunk was cozy and dry. Maybe a little to dry for the hot sun. And maybe it wasn't a good idea to pick such a dry piece of wood in the middle of a dry grassed savanna where wild fires started up here and there.
The small pink haired leopard had been lucky to not be in the hollowed out trunk when it caught fire. All he could do was sit on the edge of the blaze and stare. A dead hare hung from his mouth. Saman wasted no time attempting to beat the fire off of his trunk with the dead hare. The hare wasn't much help and also caught on fire which forced Saman to drop the thing and run off. He didn't want to be close to something that could double kill his kill. That wasn't fair.
"FIRE!" He shouted as he ran. He sent herds scattering and other animals running. Birds flew over head. "FIREEEE" He cried some more.
Unfortunately for him this also freaked out a stray rhino who was gaining quite a bit behind Saman. The pink haired squinted eyed leopard didn't seem to notice. He'd probably try to get out of the way if he wasn't so busy being one tracked minded. Even a leopard with half a brain would have been able to notice the sudden loud stomps gaining momentum behind it.
