Exactly what it says on the tin.

Anyway, I just think that the plot is a bit too cliché

The main plot of the story is a lucid dreamer god set up a war on a planet and filled everyone with fake memories so they thought the war have been going on for ages. The god's guilty subconscious got out and turned into a dream character who knew about the true nature of the war. This guy would kind of run around trying to end the war,

Also this is not an action story because those are pretentious.

Pfft, have you read enough to be the judge of that?
Anything can sound pretentious, it just depends on the writer 3nodding

As for cliche, even my story is pretty cliche, it's up to you to make it kick so much a** that no one cares.

I'm one to exaggerate my opinion xD.
I guess it's because I'm a bit annoyed how most amateur (non-professional) writer think that books work the same way as movies.
Also if the main character wasn't a wimp then he/she (hasn't even decided who the main character will be) would've been able to do one of those god outbursts like in animes, and that's no fun.

Well, just write it out and think later. That's the whole point of editing.

That's usually my problem when reading my friend's stories, mainly the weaboo freshmen that think anime is the s**t. (It was the s**t years ago, sorry). It doesn't help when they give their characters unoriginal names like [Insert Japanese word for some Mary-Sue trait here] or god forbid Tsuki.

Your idea isn't horribly played out like the whole idea of 'Horribly average teenager discovers they're secretly a (Insert magical being here) and they must save the world' or 'Teenager lives among magical beings but is inadequate and doesn't have powers, but then they discover they're the chosen one and must save the world'. Oh, and let's add a side of 'Falls in love' to make it interesting! Not.
Don't even get me started on vampires or half-somethings.

You, my wonderful friend, have more than average ounces of creativity. Don't let elitist s**t get you down. Just write it and believe in your abilities, because they're there.
