{welcome}
Here at Bara no Tani, River and myself wish for everyone to enjoy themselves. Everyone I'm sure, is familiar with the one person who ruins the RP for everyone, simply by being rude and ill-mannered. With that in mind, we've created these rules that, so long as everyone follows, will ensure that problems are kept to a minimum.

{rules} Section I. General Ruleso1. Follow the Gaia TOS, first and foremost.
o2. Be polite. Do not flame someone for ANY reason. Not only is it rude it is intolerable and will not happen here.
o3. Maturity is a must.
o4. If you have a problem with a fellow guild member, please let a mod know. Do not take the matter into your own hands as that will more than likely escalate the problem. To report a problem, follow the procedure outlined in the next section
o5.Respect your fellow members and have fun. We're all here to have a good time and get better at our role playing skills. Section II. Literacyo1. Grammar is a must. We understand the occasional typo here and there but please keep them to a minimum.
o2. While in character, 'L33t' speak will not be accepted as it is unattractive and a pain to see and read. Nor will '*insert action here*' be accepted. Everything must be written out as though you were telling a story, because technically, you are. Outside of character, chat speak is fine. Because really, how many of us type 'lol' in a day?
o3. It is preferred to not see any, but we understand that Writer's Block may lead to a one-liner. However, it is not to become a habit, nor is Writer's Block to become an excuse. An RP is only as good as you are wiling to make it. Section III. Profileso1. Fill out the character skeleton and send the completed skeleton(s) to rabbit by the river with the title of your favorite song. xxxxxx※If you would like to reserve a character, send a message to AzureShino titled "nokusuru" with the position you wish to be held. Spots will be reserved for four days. After that, they will be made available to everyone again.
o2. There is no cap on characters, but we do admonish you to only take on as many as you can handle.
o3. Diversity is key. Try to create characters different from what already exist. If you have more than one, differ them in some way. Perfect characters are boring characters. We encourage flaws.
o4. After being accepted, create a journal for your character. Journals are yours to design as you wish. Do try to keep with HM theme however and use the color coded hearts. YOU ARE ONLY ALLOWED TO POST AFTER YOU HAVE CREATED A JOURNAL FOR YOUR CHARACTER.Section IV. Posting Guidelineso1. Use size 9 - 11 font. Any smaller is hard on the eyes. Any bigger just doesn't look as nice.
o2. You must bold you character's dialogue and italicize their thoughts to distinguish the two.
o3. Refrain from using any blinding colors. If you have to highlight it to read it, its no good.
o4. We encourage everyone to design a posting format for their characters. But please do not stretch the page.
o5. Somewhere in your posting format, include where you character was, where they currently are and where they are heading to.
Example using my character, Cameron:Quote: ◎I was in my roomxxx◎You'll find me in the Inn's dinning areaxxx◎But hurry cause I'm heading for the Clinic. o6. Whenever you move to a different location from where your character started, you are required to make at least one post in the Roads Subforum. That will constitute as travel. Then you are free to move to your destination.
o7. Keep violence to a minimum. A fight is alright, so long as it doesn't turn into a bloody brawl. Character death is only permitted if both parties agree to it.
o8. Romance must be kept at PG-13. A hug and a kiss is fine but clothing stays on and intimate scenes are NOT to be written out. A simple "*FADE*" will get the point across is anything sexual does happen.
o9. Keep swearing to a minimum. Every other word being a swear is excessive.
