To battle...
Roll 2, 10 sided dice. The first dice determines your attack. The second dice determines your defense.
1st dice 1-3: Miss 4-7: Half damage 8-10: Normal damage (lets just leave crit attack out for now)
2nd dice 1-3: Failed block 4-7: Half block (like say your def was 10...you'd only defend 5 instead) 8-10: Normal block
Make sure to post your stats in each post (hp, attack, def, speed).
Each post/attack takes away 5 stamina. If stamina reaches 0, your pet faints and the battle is over.
After you've made your post and rolled, edit your post to include how much damage you've done and how much you have blocked.
EXAMPLE: Say you roll an 8 on the first dice and your attack is 18...so you'd put 18 attack. Then your second dice landed on 7 and your defense is at 8....so that'd put you at 4 damage blocked.
So at the end of your post you'd put something like...
[Damage: normal attack = 18 total damage Block: halved = 4 damage blocked]
The way this battle is done is that you both make a post and include your stats, any roleplay and your damage and blocking. No stats are changed in your first two posts. After these two posts you will record what each of those posts did. So if I went first and did 18 damage, you'd wait 'til your second post to record that damage and take your defense from your first post into consideration when figuring your HP out. So say your defense was rolled at half and you have a base defense of 8. You'd block 4 defense and so I'd do 14 damage and your HP in your second post would be reduced to 86. Your stamina would also go down 5 points in your second post. Rinse and repeat!

Just realized that rolling for def might not work since you'd have no way to roll for your def when going second. Shoot! Want to just test it with one dice then? Or can you think of a way it'd work?

Wasn't the whole point to test out the two dice idea? If you separate all the posts into a round or turn and have only the values rolled within those turns count towards each other, that would work.
So say, turns consist of you posting once and me posting once, then I would only block your attack during that turn, and so on. So being second doesn't really matter. If you get what I mean.

Simple rules are best. My friend has like all these equations and such to figure out exp and he has levels and omg it's just so complicated. I mean, it's easy to understand once you've done a few posts but I could never imagine coming up with THAT system. Crazy! @____@;
