Orlina insisted on going to find her fostermother. Her mother wouldn't turn against the weyr, Orlina insisted, and she would be in danger for it. She had to rescue her foster family if she could. O'thor had agreed to help, but had felt obligated to inform Kleos of what his plans were, since it seemed as if the fighting wasn't going to resolve itself into a cohesive plan. Not to mention it would be dangerous to go into the weyr alone with just his tiny younger sister for an ally.

His explanation had seemed to lead to some kind of consensus. Wingleader Z'fer and Calanoth had gone off to fight anyone who was above-ground, while Kleos had chosen to accompany O'thor and Orlina. The other dragons, O'thor didn't know about. He assumed they would arrive where they pleased to help whatever group they could. However, O'thor's plan meant going into the Weyr, where their dragons would not be able to help them. That was the concern, really. If they ran into any resistance, they would be in big trouble, especially if the resistance had whers.

Adamanth dropped them off at O'thor's weyr, since he could fit inside and let off O'thor, Orlina and Riarna, the Journeywoman Weaver who had come from Benden, off at his weyr. He then slipped out, taking to the air to leave room for Moriath to drop off her passengers.

Be careful, mine. These traitors do not appear to think clearly. Their ways are wrong as are their ideas, but they are all the more dangerous because they believe they are right. They will hurt you if they can and I cannot reach you.

I'll be careful and I'll keep an eye on Orlina. We have a few people; we'll be all right.

Moriath landed lightly and stooped to allow the humans to climb down more easily. Kleos quickly unfastened her straps and jumped to the ground, then offering a hand to her passenger down safely before turning to the group. "We must stick together and keep alert. I know that much is obvious but it bears saying nevertheless; those handlers are ruthless, and their whers' keen senses will no doubt swiftly alert them to our presence." She didn't like the idea of bringing young Orlina into danger like this but she could respect an adamant young woman's desire to find her kin. She would just have to be sure to keep her safe, and she knew that O'thor would be doing the same.

"My firelizards will fly ahead of us," Kleos went on, summoning the blue and the green to perch on her shoulders for the time being. "They are hardly trained for this, but if there is even a chance that they could warn us of danger ahead then it is worth sending them." Fly ahead, she pictured, look for people. Warn me. Keep safe. She loved her pets, and didn't want to risk them at all, but she couldn't afford to keep them totally out of harm's way when somebody's life could be saved by their keen little eyes.

Do this for me, and you will be rewarded.

The words rang through the Ancientcrafter's head as he slunk around the weyr, keeping an eye out for those who might be opposing them. It was not what he would have preferred to be doing, but he was perhaps a little too easily bought.

He chuckled to himself, thinking of the rewards that he might get. A firelizard egg perhaps, or marks, or, perhaps if he was very lucky, something new to tinker with.

A pair of firelizards flew past, though Lyret paid them no mind. They were likely to belong to his side anyways, doing patrols as well on their owner's orders.

Kesin had never felt worse in her life, physically at least. She'd taken a good beating, and though she'd eked out a victory, that didn't make her any less sore now. It also didn't stop her from fussing over Kesisk every other moment. The little gold had gotten it even worse than she had, and bore freshly-treated wounds that would eventually heal into scars. If things continued this way, the baby wher would be covered in scars by the time she was full-grown.

Either way, the pair had learned their lesson, and shunned the outdoors where dragons might lurk. With her whip hanging at her side, Kesin prowled the tunnels with her partner. The wher had a slight limp, and one of her wings was held a bit crooked.

Fick was not exactly thrilled by this whole fighting thing, but frankly the riders had this coming after how they'd acted for so long. Still, picking a side hadn't been as easy as snapping his fingers; he had friends among the riders, and handler friends who had chosen to fight beside them too.

The main reason he had decided to join the revolution in the end was in fact cynicism; did anyone really believe that after this riders would be kind to handlers? No, even those who fought with them would be treated with suspicion and cursed for what their fellows had begun. With the revolution - whether Malvren was won or lost - he would have a place to belong and would be valued; all he had to do was survive.

With Ficksk beside him he wandered along a corridor, mostly hoping that he wouldn't run into anyone, or that if he did and they were hostiles they would see his wher and leg it. So long as they left he didn't give a damn, in fact he'd prefer it if they just left rather than having to fight them. Still, he was a cynic, and hardly expected such a pretty outcome for himself.

Rainth & R'ett - invented characters

Rainth was not happy..not happy at all! The skittish blue was all but shaking when he dropped his rider off along with the others. 'Oh..do be careful mine' The blue told his rider in a frightened tone, hopping about in place in a little fearful dance and crooning lowly.

'I'll be fine Rainth' R'ett assured his dragon giving him a slight shove to make him leave with the other 'Now go along and help the dragons - be brave, I know you can' The blue rider told his dragon sternly. The poor blue - he had never been born for this sort of thing and being forced into it now was certainly not going over well. R'ett could only take solace in the fact that the blue would soon forget - well provided they survived this little endeavor. Wandering around in the tunnels where there was likely to be whers and handlers seemed rather suicidal to him, but he was a rider and he had to help save his home someway right. Grimly he followed after the other dragonriders.

(Bade & Crimson Opth - Invented Revolutionists)

Everyone had their reasons. Some more than others. Bade mused about her own as she searched the internal hallways of her home Weyr for signs of the Resistance. Word had spread that Malvren's riders had appeared briefly above the weyr before disappearing to an unknown location. All the Revolutionists were put on alert. Outside Opth kept a keen eye out for trouble.

As a breeding crimson, Opth and her rider found themselves unsure of their real position within Malvren. They weren't allowed to be wingriders, having no fire to help in a Fall, but also they weren't promoted to a position of responsibility such as Jr. Weyrwoman, being only a lowly crimson. The two found themselves as idle as a dragon-pair could be. Sitting aside with little to do other than wait for Opth to rise...and fail to clutch.

No longer though. Having been discreetly approached by a member of the Revolutionists she was easily converted. They would not hold her back from a position of authority just because her dragon wasn't a gold. Neither would they keep her from battle because she had no flame. They would reward the pair handsomely if they preformed well for their cause. Bade and Opth would never be set aside as useless again!

~ Moriath and Adamanth have appeared, Theirs and others have entered the Weyr! ~ Opth called, alerting the members of the Revolution.

Bade held still, listening intently for the sound of voices or footsteps.

Az'rin and Qizixth: cowering in a corner...or something

M-Mine. Mine! Others. There are others here! Other dragons. T-They....they can help. I think.... The large blue whimpered from where he was currently hunkered down and attempting to 'hide' from the scary ones. Qizixth wasn't even sure where he was, having been too worried about his rider and all the loud noises and...and the smell of blood. The blue whined again. Should...I talk to them, Azmine?

His heart was hammering so hard and fast that Az'rin was absolutely positive it was going to burst right from his chest. There had been people. That he recognized and thought were good. Except...they had attacked. And the whers...Az'rin shuddered at the image that flashed in his mind. Of a wher attacking a person. OhsharditOhsharditOhshardit! He'd been down in the Dinning Hall, grabbing a quick bite to eat - and sneaking a few treats for Qizixth while he was at it - when everything went from peaceful to sharding scary as all Faranth.

I...I don't know, Qiz. M-Maybe? Are they...nice? I...I'm trying to get to you. He promised nervously, inching his bulk around a corner. The chunky boy knew he was closer to his dragon. Only several (or more) corners to go.

Qizixth stuck his nose under his tail as he hesitantly reached out to the dragons he knew were here. A-Are you...friends? My rider and I...seek help. The blue practically squeaked as he spoke to Moriath and Adamanth.

Adamanth - Speaking to Qizixth

Qizixth, Adamanth acknowledged, turning his head back to the Weyr, though he and Moriath had taken flight shortly after leaving their passengers and settled themselves on other parts of the cliff, watching for any enemies trying to sneak in the same way they had. He recognized the Blue's halting speech from their Weyrling lessons together, though they had rarely had the opportunity to speak outside of that. Are you all right? Is your rider with you? Mine and Moriath's come with aid. Where are you?

Quickly, Adamanth warned O'thor, Qizixth requests aid. I am learning his location now.

[Moriath & Kleos]

Moriath added with a rumble, To her last breath; they might be males but they were Malvren males, her males. She would not allow outsiders from lesser places and traitors to Malvren who no longer deserved to call her Weyr their home to harm those who remained loyal.

Though she received word of the blue pair, Kleos was focused on other matters. Gesturing sharply to her comrades she jerked her head at the hallways ahead.

Moriath said quickly, addressing all of the humans around Kleos.

Az'rin and Qizixth

The big blue lifted his tail cautiously from his snout, inching forward to glance at his surroundings and share the images with Adamanth and Moriath. Mine is not with me! He sputtered out fearfully. I am in someone elses weyr. Not my own. I...I came here quickly....to avoid a w-wher. There was a pause as if the blue was trying to work something out in his mind. W-Why would they attack...us? He was genuinely confused.

Meanwhile, Az'rin continued to slink around as quietly as he could. And as stealthily. He was pretty sure that at the rate his heart was pounding, it would clearly warn any of the scary ones of his exact location.

<I...I don't think...I can make it to the w-weyr you're in, Qiz.> Az'rin tried not to panic. <But I can make it...to another one. I-I think. You can meet me there....right?>

Qizixth let out a frustrated breath of air. He was just as scared as his rider, but he wanted his Az'rin there now. I will...come to you. Hurry. He shifted his weight again, crawling towards the edge of the weyr he was stretched across on his belly. M-Mine is....moving to a-another weyr. W-Where I can fly and...get him. He told the bigger dragons. Where...are you? He finally thought to ask. Maybe there were closer to His?

O'thor
Attacking Kesin

"Stay back," O'thor warned Orlina as Kleos announced who was around the corner. He saw she wasn't content with his order, but she hung back as Kleos charged head-first into battle.

O'thor followed on the heels of Jordan, the Candidate from Benden that had come with Kleos. He and Riarna, the Weaver, had offered to help, since their home weyr was lost to them, and it seemed they would make good on that promise. O'thor hadn't been sure of them at first, but he hoped those concerns proved to be unfounded.

As Kleos engaged the nearest man, O'thor went for the woman Jordan had gone for, though he disliked the idea of hitting a girl. Still, she was a handler and the man's back-up. The last thing he wanted was for his hesitation to get them in trouble. He felt tense and conflicted inside as he threw a punch at the woman. He really didn't like situations where he had no time to consider the options.

Jordan
Attacking Kesin

Jordan tensed faintly at Kleos's warning, but he wasn't far behind her when she went to attack. He didn't like getting his hands dirty as a rule, but fights were necessary to protect oneself, and considering the wherhandlers were trying to destroy the weyr and its people-- not to mention Jordan's chance at getting a dragon-- it seemed like the time for self-defense.

Kleos tossed herself at the nearest man, leaving only a woman further down the corridor; the infant Gold wher at her side told Jordan which side she stood on, though, and he didn't want that whip at her side to get used either. He darted past Kleos's fight, hearing someone not only following but overtaking him. The dark-skinned rider at his side got to the girl seconds before Jordan did, but that was fine with him. As O'thor lashed out with a punch to her middle, Jordan took the opportunity to try to knock her silly by aiming a blow at her head.

Riarna
Attacking Lyret

Riarna saw where the other men were heading, to the opposite end of the hallway to engage one of the wherhandlers, and that Kleos headed for the nearest individual. How had the two idiots barreling down the hall missed the second handler, though? Idiots.

Riarna went to help Kleos, yanking her skirts up enough to aim a hard kick at Lyret's thigh to try to send him to his knees.
