Another day, another trip into the Malro Desert to kill a Kiandri once again. Samril was already getting tired of the desert and the electric dragons. He was tempted to find something a bit more challenging, but he feared trying to take on the Firani dragons just yet. Fire was not exactly fun. And he didn't want to get burnt.
And thus he was trudging through the desert, his eyes open and peeled for a Kiandri dragon sitting alone. He definitely didn't want to run into a group again. That was not fun. Though, now that he thought about it, he might be able to handle a group of Ysali... or perhaps just two of them. Though, he was even more tired of fighting Ysali dragons than Kiandri. He'd been tied up by vines more times than he cared to admit and he really didn't want to experience that again any time soon.
Samril sighed as he looked around. At least the forest was better than the desert. There were streams and shade and trees and nice grass.... more exciting things to look at than just sand and rocks. Sand and sand and more sand... not exactly exciting. And the only shade came from a few large rocks around. Not that it was exactly cool in the shade either.
The Dovaa gave another sigh as he saw no dragons at all around him. None. Not a single on- oh, hey look up there! Samril shielded his eyes as he stared upwards. There was a dragon flying overhead; the only one he'd seen thus far into the desert. He glanced around at ground level once more. Nope, no dragons down here.
He thought for a moment, then sent a bolt upwards to try and reach the dragon and make it come down. The first bolt crackled and dissipated before even getting close to the dragon. The second got closer, but still didn't reach the dragon. The third and fourth both were closer, just not quite close enough. The fifth was short as well but by this time the electricity crackling in the air nearby had caught the dragon's attention. It saw the fifth bolt coming towards it and easily dodged, looking down towards the bolt's source.
Samril grinned as the dragon spotted him and dove. He turned, running some distance from where he'd been standing. After all, the dragon was headed right for that spot, so he didn't want to be there! At least not when the dragon landed!
The dragon noticed him moving and slowed its dive as it drew closer, gliding some distance before landing at a run. It continued its movement towards Samril, charging.
Samril dodged behind and around a rock, hoping to circle around it and get behind the dragon before it managed to circle around as well. His timing was off just slightly as the dragon had slowed as he ran out of sight and thus he ended up running almost smack into the dragon's side.
The Dovaa and dragon both recovered quickly and the fight began. The dragon was slightly tired from its flight and the effort of the initial charge while Samril was still fairly fresh as he had not be traveling in the desert for very long before finding the dragon.
The fight was, in true Kiandri fashion, fairly short. It was not long before the dragon fell to the sand and began to dissolve away. Samril picked up his third Kiandri orb with a grin. This was really going to make his brothers sit up and pay attention to him!
[Exp gained: 20(25/20) = 25 exp gained Samril grows to level 22 with 0.5 exp left over! Samril gains a Kiandri Dragon Orb and a Luck point.]
