 Zakiyya watched as some of the adults went out on a hunt. Even though she was still a cub, she looked forward to the day when she could go on one. She hoped one day to bring down a big kill and become a great hunter. Of course, there were a lot of things she wanted to do. The only probably was that she had a hard time being social. There was a clear frown on her face as she thought of this. If only others could read her thoughts. Then she wouldn't have to talk. It was scary sometimes for her. She didn't understand why she wasn't as playful or fun as the other cubs. Her paw worried at the ground as she hoped she would become a great lioness when she got older.

 Being older didn't concern Husani. The pink male was just going with the flow and playing with some butterflies that lead him away from his group he usually hung out with. Those light, odd colored eyes were full of cub like mischief and delight. No, the pink and yellow boy was a happy cub that only thought of the now and not of the past or future. Why bother concerning yourself with those things? You'd just miss your cubhood, he felt. His momma taught him that being a cub was his duty, not to worry about training for anything until he was bigger and more ready.
Laughing as he lept out of the tall grass, he paused, well, more like skidded to a stop, in front of a girl with yellowish tipped ears.
"Oh! Hi!" he said, wandering over to her, a huge grin on his face. "What's the matter? Are you sad? What's wrong?" He saw her expression was a mixture of things and it made him sad for her. She looked like she was worrying way to much about something really sad.

Zakiyya had been so busy thinking that she hadn't heard anyone approaching. It wasn't until a pink cub skidded in front of her that she noticed. Her eyes widened in surprise. Oh, what was she to do. He was speaking to her. She looked down at her paws nervously. Her voice was soft and jittery when she spoke. "Hi." She tried to swallow past the lump in her throat. It was hard for her to speak to others. But he seemed so friendly, she didn't want to be mean. "I'm....I'm fine. Th-thanks." If there was a hole in front of her, she'd bury her head in it. That was how awkward she felt.

Husani had no idea that she had issues with talking with others. However, even if he did, he felt it would be best to make her talk to others so she would be more comfortable with it. After all, if you do it a few times you get pretty used to it, right? It's like when he learned how to walk. Sure, he fell a lot, but it didn't stop him from getting back up and trying again.
When he could barely hear her, he leaned in a little more and then frowned at her answer. Why was she so jittery? He wasn't going to hurt her! That would be mean, and Husani wasn't a mean boy. He wanted to play and make people smile, like most cubs do.
"Are you sure? You seemed kind of down.." He frowned, mainly for emphasis, but he was also wondering just why she was so nervous!
