This is a private RP between: Zale and Amias! Where: Spades What's happening: Zale bumps into a semi-familiar face, and the two spend an evening together, despite how Zale knows he probably shouldn't be making friends.
Zale recoiled into himself, perched on his tree branch and observing Sully, as he was supposed to. He hadn't finished training yet, and Sully was finishing their session with the usual, performing a move he wanted Zale to watch and then attempt the next day.
"Zale. You are free to go." Sully suddenly called out, raising his head. The boy leapt from his branch, nodded, and headed straight for the mansion, slipping through the halls, past the screams and cackles, and slipped out of the front-door, entering the rest of the faction.
He wasn't sure what to do, then again, he never was. He longed to see Malo, however he bit back that desire. He had made Malo leave because... he... wasn't safe. He wasn't even remotely the Zale he was before. He couldn't visit Briar, or anyone. He had shoved his friends aside to protect them, and that was best.... right?
Yet, he was so.... so... so lonely. The male walked through the streets, one of them. He no longer drew looks, but he wished he had. He wished he was strange to them, not a familiar face. What he needed today was somewhere to relax, somewhere to briefly forget.

As much as Amias hated being outside, outside was were the earth was. The young baltoy crept from the safety of his home when the local bullies were no where in sight.
The boy wanted another stone for his small collection, but he didn't know where to start. Rocks were everywhere, but he'd be picky with the one he took home with him. It'd be greenish and jagged, he decided, with a rough texture. "Kind of like Hessner..." Amias spoke to himself quietly with a smirk as he thought of his cacturn guardian.
Amias drifted along, scanning the earth in every direction for the perfect place to begin his search. He was very vigilant and focused, especially for a toddler. The only thing that could tear him from his goal was a familiar face; he was watching out for those, just in case the bullies appeared.
The baltoy quickly took notice to Zale, but he didn't recognize him as a bully. No, this was the treeko from Clubs. What was he doing in Spades? Amias briefly wondered how the sniveling toddler was fairing in such a hostile environment - but the grass type didn't look upset. At least, not as far as Amias could tell. The baltoy waved his hand in an attempt to get his attention... but once he had it, he didn't know what to do with it, resulting in an awkward pause. "Uh... Hi."

Zale's head turned the second he heard a voice, eyes tense and body equally tense. He was preparing for an attack, however when none came and he was greeted with the sight of a familiar face he blinked, slowly relaxing. What was he doing in Spades? The Treecko couldn't see why anyone would visit Spades, his home was a dangerous place....
The boy looked nervous. No, awkward. As if he didn't know what to say now that Zale's eyes were on him. The male scanned Amias, picking up body language immediately. Yes, the boy didn't know what to do with him. Then why was he called over?
While he was thinking several minutes had paused. He was being awkward, too, in his own way. He was busy thinking, and due to that he wasn't speaking. It took him even more seconds to realize he was acting strange, attempting to break the silence with words, finally.
"Hi."

Amias sat in silence as he made eye contact with the treecko, but still no significant words were exchanged. In fact, the other boy didn't say anything at all. The baltoy breifly wondered if Zale had even heard his greeting to begin with. Anxiety would have wrecked his train of thought if the baltoy felt even remotely threatened by the boy. Instead, Amias waited, trying to figure it out... resulting in the two engaging in some kind of very awkward staring contest.
Amias was almost shocked when the treecko finally spoke. "Remember me?" He asked, with the tilt of his head. He carried on as if the awkward greeting had never happened. "I met you in Clubs. You were crying." Amias was just pointing out the facts. He didn't realize the statement and his blunt tone might make it sound like an insult.
"Why are you in Spades? Are you lost, again?"

It took Zale a few seconds to respond. Yes, he remembered the other, he rarely forgot faces. Ever. The male's head tilted briefly, matching Amias', face turning into a scowl that was beginning to become a habit for the changing boy. He was crying... While he wanted that boy back, wanted to be that innocent child again, Zale had no interest in regaining his ability to cry at the drop of a hat.
He almost turned around and ditched the other. Almost. He didn't want this familiar face to discover his new self. He didn't want to be judged or compared to who he once was. However, something compelled him to stay, though he wasn't entirely sure what.
"I live here." He responded with, finally. His head tilted to the other side, observing the other. Suddenly, it clicked. "So do you." It was more of a thought then a response, however Zale was known for being awkward. "Why are you be yourself?"

Amias didn't understand where the scowl was coming from, but it was certainly not an expression he'd seen on this boy's face before. The realization was a fleeting thought, though; Amias never put a lot of effort into investigating or dissecting emotions. He was so unaware that it was easy for him to disregard the fact that they even exist.
"You live here..?" Amias repeated the statement to himself thoughtfully, a doubtful look crossing his features. He nodded with Zale's verbal realization that he lived here as well, his arms sliding across his chest as he blatantly expressed the source of his doubt. "I've never seen you here before."
Amias blinked when he was questioned. He was always by himself, ever since the beginning. How was he supposed to explain that? It was then he realized he might be referring to the lack of a guardian. "Hessner is busy..." Amias shrugged and glanced around, as if to prove he wasn't the only guilty one. "You're alone, too."

"I was forbidden to leave my home until recently." The two were blunt, their conversation probably completely awkward to outsiders by how blunt and precise they spoke. Neither were bothering to be nice, nor did the other feel the need to. Facts was all that was needed. Zale's shoulders relaxed slowly as he realized that Amias did not expect much from him. His new attitude wasn't questioned or poked, it was accepted. He was unsure what to do suddenly, however finally the boy spoke again.
"Sully believes if I was babysat I would not be able to function the way I need to as a teenager and adult." He responded with, pausing before adding: "I've dismissed all my previous friends. I... being alone is natural." His eyes narrowed briefly, unable to hide the paling in his face and shiver down his body as he mentioned his friends. He wanted Malo. He wanted his friends. He wanted them back, so damn bad. So god damn bad.
But he couldn't have them back, because they did not belong in Spades, and he was now a monster being trained to murder. He.... he could not bring in people unused to the monstrous Spades into this life...
Was that why he didn't ditch Amias? Because he was a part of Spades. Zale didn't mind speaking to him because of that fact. Perhaps he was willing to spend the afternoon conversing with the other. The idea almost seemed delicious. He had been craving another his age, he was so damn lonely. He missed his friends. He needed someone his own age to speak to, even if it was only facts and quick sentences.
He needed someone to validate that he was still alive.

Amias was patient as he listened without offering much of a response or expression to indicate that he understood. He was oblivious to the details of the severe inner turmoil that the reptile was experiencing, but Amias could at least sympathize with the dreadful feeling of being alone.
"You had friends... and you dismissed them." Amias repeated the confession, not in an attempt to understand, but to declare to himself that the decision was a stupid one. It was Zale's own fault that he was alone, as far as the child was concerned. Why would someone intentionally put them self in such a painful state? ...But Amias never had a true friend of his own, and as a result, couldn't understand Zale's intentions.
The baltoy was thoughtful as he let another pause of silence stretch - a silence that apparently wasn't considered awkward between the two. It was a few moments before Amias remembered his original goal, to find a new rock. His hands trailed towards the thick scarf wrapped around his neck as he recalled something Hessner had told him... Sharing was the best way to make friends.
From the folds of his scarf, Amias pulled a smooth blue-grey stone and presented it to Zale on his upturned palms. The fear of rejection made the baltoy hesitate... but he shrugged the fear away when he decided rejection was inevitable when he's trying to befriend someone who wants to be alone. "This is Rockburt." The toddler explained, turning the stone in his hand to reveal a single dent on the other side. "He's my only friend..." Amias withdrew the stone, holding it close to his chest in a protective fashion. "I was out here looking for another one... Do you want to help me?"

Zale watched Amias quietly, not responding when the other repeated what he had said. He didn't need to explain, nor did the other even ask him to. A soft sigh of relief almost escaped his lips. His eyes trailed towards Amias' hands when the boy pulled out a stone, face not expressing the confusion he felt. A rock. Then again, he wasn't one to judge, everyone had their strange quirks. Besides, it made sense, a rock could not hurt you without another force present, and it could be carried around wherever you go. It made sense, or it did for Zale.
He crouched, deciding that yes, he would help. It briefly occurred to him that he should give vocal confirmation, head raising to view the baltoy. "Yes. What kind of rock do you want?" It was rare for him to ever agree to spending time with others these days, but Amias was different. He was a Spades member, and did not ask much of Zale. Besides, the lonely boy reminded him of himself.

Amias was surprised and pleased to discover that the treecko agreed to help. With a small, thoughtful smile, the baltoy tucked his stone back into his scarf... still preoccupied with the shock. No name-calling, no teasing, not even rejection. The toddler let his gaze trail along his disconnected shadow he was floating above as he tightened the scarf to secure the rock. It took a moment for him to return his attention to reality, and glanced back at Zale. The smile was still plastered across his face and he didn't even realize it.
"A rough green one with jagged edges." He began drifting again, casually returning to his search, but not with the intense vigilance he originally had. His head was a chaotic mess of distracting thoughts... Ideas of what might be a good idea to say and what should he avoid saying to win the treecko's friendship.
"We could find one for you too... if you want."

Ah. The other was being specific. He knew exactly what he wanted, this could take longer than he suspected. Nodding, the male set to work lifting a few rocks here and there and tossing them aside promptly when they didn't fit the baltoys request. Deciding that he wouldn't even offer any rock until he found the exact one that fit Amias' requests perfectly, he had begun to drift into a focused, mute state, startled briefly when Amias spoke. He wasn't used to conversing, even before he became this way he wasn't the talking sort. The boy actually looked like his previous self briefly, only for a second, eyes large and questioning, hardening in seconds.
Did he want a rock? Why would he? However he wavered, tempted. Even if he had cast aside his previous friends (though only to protect them) and even if he was becoming hardened and cold, he was still a infant. He still desired a small amount of companionship. If they searched for a rock for him, wouldn't he stay longer with Amias?
He was breaking all the rules.
"After we find one for you we will find one for me." That was a yes.
