When the strike force blinked in from between things were deceptively quiet for a few startling moments...silent and seemingly normal until ones senses returned and one noticed the smoke from several buildings, saw the scattered supplies upon the ground and the pools of viscus red liquid that could be only one thing. Shifting wind brought the sounds of battle from further on in the Weyr, dragon cries..wher cries..human cries.

Flits, confused and upset swirled about adding their own voices to the chaos. Smoke drifted here and there obscuring views and making getting a true feel for the level of devastation difficult.

D'lin pushed all this aside "Tell them to set up the perimeter!" He relayed to Plexith the bronze already winging towards the ground to deposit his rider. 'Mine orders the perimeter set up, deposit your riders and then guard the building so that the firestone can be captured' The bronze relayed to the dragons and riders in the air with him.

Landing only long enough for D'lin to slid to the ground before lifting off to make room and move towards the outskirts of the clearing to guide Plexith spoke to his rider 'Be careful mine..that building may not be empty'

'I know Plexith' D'lin answer, warily moving towards the building's door.

Tyeth set down long enough to let N'mol-- who had barely strapped himself in when they took off-- slide from his back and then moved up to set himself at a slight distance from Tyeth. A smaller dragon, Green or Blue, could fit between them. They should spread out their strength, not group it together.

N'mol moved up to take a place near D'lin, looking for windows that might show them someone looking out, or give them a view in. He tapped D'lin on the shoulder, then gestured at a window and moved off to see if he could look in without anyone inside knowing he was.

---

Behind him, Halith landed and let Cetalese drop down before she set up on the opposite side of Plexith from Tyeth, leaving barely enough room to stretch out her wings. Her eyes were fixed on the door as Cetalese carefully followed D'lin, leaving plenty of room between them, in case he had to fall back from an attack. Who knew who was in the building?

Careful, Cetalesemine, Halith warned, yellow mixing into the orange-red of her eyes.

I will be, Halith. Stay put. If any whers show up, take care of them and get my attention. I'll come help with the humans.

Unbeknownst to the arriving dragons and riders there were indeed several things lurking the woods. The dragons arrival had not gone unoticed and having made great strides in taking over the Weyr these handlers and their bonded were not about to lose it so easily.

Within the woods several snapping twigs gave rise to the suspicion that danger lurked there while within the building the sound of something falling ot the ground and breaking was heard followed by hushed voices and a slight snarl. How many were out there? At the moment..it was impossible to know....But something was there, that was certain.

Eliza and Velath were not far behind the others, circling high in the air as they got thier first look at the Wyer after the attacks. 'Oh mine!' Velath stated as they were swarmed by upset flits 'They are so upset..so many terrible thing have happened!' The green told her rider.

Eliza patted the green neck comfortingly 'I know Velath...but we're here to stop it now, land with the others' Crooning softly the green did as she was told, taking her turn to deposit Eliza before setting up with the other dragons in an attempt to surround the building and keep newly arriving Wher forces at bay.

So far she hadn't seen any..but what was that? Has she heard something? It was difficult to tell in the commotion of arriving dragons and riders. Glancing back one more time at her dragon Eliza moved forward to join Ceta and the others. She still had no idea what had become of the rest of her wing.

So far, so good. They'd successfully joined up with the Trine-Benden mixof rider, claiming the usefulness of Dinahsk in a fight. A wher, after all, would be able to fight humans. Now it was a matter of biding their time until they had a good opening to attack their new 'allies.'

Faint sounds caught Dinahsk's attention, but a mental order from Dinah stopped her from alerting. Was that another wher? Dinah bid her send an impression of greeting - hoping to distinguish themselves as allies, not targets, in a way that would not alert the dragons and their riders.

N'mol glanced back at the assembled, including Suunath, who had landed and taken up residence near Tyeth. Kindra.

He almost thought he could feel the kiss on his cheek Kindra had given him as she had apologized, even when her eyes were still burning with the desire for retribution. He looked away, crouching as he reached the wall of the building. He shifted closer to the window, hoping that Kindra was wise enough to hang back. Now, even more than before, he didn't want anything to happen to her. She was their last Gold. And she was his friend. Quite possibly one of the closest he had. He wouldn't forgive himself if she came to harm and he wasn't able to stop it.

I will let no harm come to them, Tyeth promised. Focus, N'mol. We will be safe.

Let me know if she comes closer to the building. Kindra had a right to be here. N'mol knew that, as surely as he knew she hated being kept from doing everything everyone else could just because of the color she rode. If she and the Trine Goldrider were together, N'mol wouldn't try to talk her out of doing what she wanted, not when she had a good point of her own, but that didn't mean he would leave her to her own devices either. If she thought to get close to the fighting, he'd be ready to step between her and the danger at need. She wouldn't be fighting alone, even if she were apart from her Gold.

He glanced over at Dinah and Dinahsk. When had she gotten here? One of the riders must have let her come this far, though he didn't remember her being close for the planning period. He felt uncomfortable with her. She was of Benden, he knew her... and he also knew she did not like dragonriders. Why was she helping them?

Kindra and Suunath had arrived only moments after N'mol and Tyeth though she had taken more time to fasten her riding straps properly, it was one thing to get hurt in a fight with these..... usurpers... it was quite another to fall off your dragon while Between. She climbed down gracefully from her Gold, who immediately moved to stay close to Tyeth. Kindra moved towards N'mol but kept a shorter distance between her and her Dragon than N'mol had with Tyeth. Close enough that she could reach her fast but far enough that she wouldn't be in her way, or any other Dragon's way either.

She looked over at N'mol with a taut smile. She was willing to fight but she didn't have any weapons, neither she, or really any other riders of Benden at least, had felt the need for them and she was unpracticed in hand to hand combat, being a Holder's daughter then Goldrider she had been kept fairly sheltered. If she could, she wasn't going to lose sight of N'mol. She thought it amusing, for a moment, that it should be a man that had become her closest friend, besides Suunath of course. Not something she'd have thought possible were she back home with her parents, she just hoped they were safe back at their Hold and away from all this mess.

"We are ready Tyeth, we will make them regret doing this" snarled Suunath, her claws raking into the ground beneath her in anticipation as she waited for instruction.

Kindra spotted the Wherhandler Dinah and her lip curled but she didn't move, as much as she would love to take the handler down, and she knew Suunath would relish the chance to tear into Wher flesh..... neither was going to begin fighting until they had to.

'Bigs bad' The whers in the woods sent back to Dinahsks, prominant amoung them was a scarred old bronze who seemed to be at the head of the hidden group of Whers. Her handler was likely lurking somewhere nearby - perhaps he was one of the people in the building 'Big's mean, Big's hurt' The bronze continued to tell the other Wher. 'friend..friend help?' The last seemed to be a question of sorts, to see if Dinahsk and her's where on thier side.

After blinking out of Between, Stromath and K'en landed just long enough for the bronzerider to slide down to the ground before his dragon moved out of the way to join the gathering dragons. He still couldn't believe that Benden had been lost-- and so quickly at that. Why had their Weyr been the first to fall when the firelizards had arrived from all over at about the same time. Had the first wave of Benden flits somehow been slain before they could come and warn them? Speaking of Benden firelizards though... "Rajash, stay away from the Weyrs for a bit," he whispered, urging the gold on his shoulder to leave. Certainly there were bigger things to worry about right now than firelizards, but he didn't want her to try to interfere with battle at some point and end up being hurt or killed in the process. They themselves were at risk enough as it was.

We will take back our home, Stromath said privately to His, not a shred of doubt in his voice. But first we must help those who share our cause. Only then will we have the freedom and the resources to push out the usurpers.

K'en agreed with a nod, moving silently to his wingleader and the others. With all of the sounds of battle around, he didn't expect that they would be out of the fray themselves for very long. Though, considering the main perpetraitors of this rebellion, could they really trust the wher and handler within their midst...?

The sound of something breaking within the building was not lost on D'lin and when N'mol moved to look into the window D'lin reached out to stop him in warning, making a hold motion with his hand so that everyone behind them would stop. Surely the other man would have heard it too.

Something was in the building and given current circumstance D'lin wasn't about to take any chances about what it could be. He'd assume the worst and hopefully be proven wrong. Since speaking out would just alert whomever it was inside (And he didn't know about the Whers watching from the woods and likely relaying their numbers and positions anyways) D'lin choose to take the cautious approach and used Plexith to communicate with the other dragon and riders.

'There is someone in the building' Plexith relayed, his mental voice tinged with both fury and anticipation 'Mine believes it to be the enemy, be very careful' . Having thusly alerted the other rider's D'lin let go of N'mol and motioned the others forward.. carefully while he moved towards the door, his plan to throw it open and rush in before those inside knew what was happening.

Help, yes, help. Wait, says. She conferred with her handler, relaying her words as best she could with her own broken speech. Tell when? Wants gold's. Hers, says. She sent an image of Kindra.

The handlers and thier cohorts inside the building did indeed realize that there were riders outside. Thier Whers without having relayed the information.

"Where the hell did they come from" Came the hushed voice from one man.

"Be quiet Hans." Came the voice of another "They probably figured out what was happening at that silly meeting Keller set up for them to go to." Came a women's voice.

"Fat lot of good that did, should have kept them longer" A second man piped up.

"I said be quiet! Gretask says theres a good number of them out there!" The women's voice came again. Though those were the only voices that could be made out the sound of numberous feet inside could make one bet that there were more then three.

The spoke of Gretask had also relayed that one of the people outside the door was friend but wisely her handler kept that herself while the scarred old gold responded with her handlers thoughts. 'Gold yes, tell when, attack' The bronze Wher responded to Dinahsk in a gleeful tone

They weren't far behind Plexith when they blinked out of between. Cepheith snarled at all the scents that assaulted her nose while Narisa couldn't help the gasp and twisting of her gut at the sight before them. If this was the aftermath of only this area...how bad was it in the heart of their home? And worse. Where was Abigail and Brakiath? That cold gut twisting feeling only worsened.

Have faith, mine. We must focus on this task. Cepheith touched down, crouching to allow Narisa to slide from her back. She didn't want to leave her rider, but the gold took her place among the dragon perimeter.

Narisa moved quickly to take her place near D'lin. She tried not to look around too much or focus hard on the red puddles that almost demanded attention. The Goldrider swallowed, following silently. It was unnerving here and almost too quiet. She merely nodded at D'lin after Cepheith relayed the warning.

Sasar waited silently among the trees. He'd been dropped off by a revolutionsist Rider and was making his way towards the hut when the resistance finally made it back to their weyr. The sight of a handler among them angered him. Dragonriders were disloyal, backstabbing tunnelsnakes. Not Wherhandlers!

Sasask gave a call to the bronze wher as well. Letting them know of the two's arrival. He was young but he was a bronze and could fight straight out of the egg. 'We here. We wait. We Fight'

Kindra acknowledged when Cepheith emerged from Between with Narisa. She froze when a crash sounded from indoors and her fists clenched. She wanted badly to charge in there and demand to know what the hell was going on but she knew that wasn't the best of ideas right now. She glanced at N'mol and D'lin before looking back at her dragon and nodding.

"Cephieth, Mine and I are ready to fight with you" Said Suunath to the newly arrived goldrider. both she and Kindra trying to ignore the spilled blood and focus on what they needed to be doing.
