The sky was clear in that night. Stars were shining brightly and the moon lightened the ground for anyone who happened wander there. There was no sound of wind, no movement or predators or prey. Everything seemed peaceful.
But not for long.
"Help!" distressed voice cried in the night. A cheetah girl, whose fur resembled night sky above her, ran in rapid speed through the savanna. After her was a lion, hunting the cheetah with wicked grin in his muzzle. "You're not getting away!" the lion shouted, a laughter following his words.
It seemed though that the cheetah was winning. She was running faster than the lion, having more desire to get away than the lion had to catch her. The cheetah glanced behind her, noticing the lion being further. A smile formed on her lips, she was saved!
However, it was too soon to celebrate. She didn't see a rock standing on the ground that was on her way until it was too late. Suddenly, she felt sharp pain on her right front paw and with a whine she fell on the ground. The lion saw a chance in her injury and charged towards the cheetah girl who tried desperately to make an escape, only to realize it being impossible.
"Help!!!" she cried again.

Nox's nose twitched as he took in all the familiar nightly smells, it looked like the weather would be just perfect for the evening. Not too cold nor hot. Just the way he liked it and it was said upon this night that the heavens would open up and give all those watching a show of falling stars. Unfortunately, his peace was shattered by not only a female-ish scream but the sounds of a lumbering lion. "Wonderful." His eyes narrowed as he took in what occurred before him, it wasn't in his nature to ignore a female in distress. Quickly he looked around trying to formulate an easy non-dying plan to get rid of said lion.
An idea formed and thank goodness he was blessed with being a cheetah as speed was what was required for this plan to work as well as strength. He eyed the cliff and calculated the best way to nudge the beast away from the female. Plan in motion he moved into place. 3...2...1... it happened before he knew it. He managed to knock the lion over the cliff but not before the idot gave him a good clawing on his shoulder.
Snorting he thought absentmindedly, 'Lions can be so dumb sometimes.' He winced before turning fascinated eyes on the starry creature before him. "You alright there?"
