I am struggling to find Detect life enchantments I can learn, or spells, Not sure if there are any but if so can someone let me know where they are and what requirements are needed if any?

Edit: I found a detect life shout that has a pretty quick recharge and doesn't effect detection while sneaking. It is in the ruin you go to with valkas (I think) when you go to collect your first piece of wuuthrad. I forgot the ruins' name

There is no enchantment for it in Skyrim.
Sithorn misses his fine crystal necklace of life-seeing. It could even see the life churning within the daedra and living dead, but no longer.
However, he found a spell tome for just this cantrip in the first vestibule of the Labyrinthian. That may be just what you need.
Be warned, it is alteration and of Adept-level skill requirement.

Sith is right, and given enough time and tried you can find it from Tofldir at the College of Winterhold. He's the Master level Alteration trainer. A word of warning it's not like the Detect Life spell from OB. You can't just cast and forget about it. It requires the spell to be constantly cast for the detect life to work. Oh and it wont work on the undead, there is a completely new spell for that. I want to say its Detect Undead.

D'aww that sucks, I was hoping it would be a cast and forget spell, seeing as my character isn't magic-specialised. sad

Anyway, thank you both for the help~

I know right, there are only like a handful of cast and forget spells, armor and light spells are the two that pop quickly into my mind.

There are quite a few spells from Morrowind I miss using...Like the lock & unlock spells from the school of Mysticism (Or Alteration, I forgot), Levitation spell and all the fortify attribute spells D:

I miss being able to create my own spells!

Levitate + Fortify everything + Soul Trap on self forever = you might as well be a God.

I miss being able to create my own spells!

I would have loved the magic system in Skyrim if it had a Spell Crafting Table. I'm usually always a Mage of some kinda, but the magic system in Skyrim makes me made at times. It's just lacking some of the most basic spells that a mage would use. Open is a prime example. Why would a mage use bloody lock picks?

It's definitely lacking some versatility, I must admit. I'm sure if a mage can conjure an unbound daedric lord, or paralyze almost anything, he or she can open a simple lock. And to be critical, I would've liked to have seen the expert Rally and Fury spells be scaled to the Mage's current level - level 20 flat really does not suffice.

This is why I keep kicking myself for getting rid of Morrowind, its a much better game than oblivion or skyrim ; w; Skyrim barely has enough to make oblivion a redundant game but lacks too much when compared to Morrowind. I hope that if they make a new elder scrolls game some time in the future that it will have everything skyrim has and all the useful things from Morrowind such as spell-crafting
