She knew she was sunburned, she could tell by the way her skin pulled uncomfortably whenever she moved. Plus there was the sharp pain that followed every time she touched her shoulders or cheeks. It was irritating enough to turn her already dark mood even darker. Yet no matter how much she willed it, her fictional personal storm cloud never seemed to manifest to give her some relief from the relentless sun that persisted in its efforts of roasting her alive.
Oh how Eliji was going to have field day tormenting her when she got home. The older Oblivionite had in her own sarcastic and abusive way, given her a remedy for her currently plight. Which she had foolishly left behind thinking that the other was only taunting her.
Carefully Elleth ran a hand across her eyesockets, wishing that she could clear the dazzle from her vision as easily as the other races could. But they didn't read auras just like she couldn't really tell the differences in a set of similar colors. A chill settled over her burned skin, causing a knot of tension to release, only to tighten again. Shadows don't suddenly appear in the middle of the day in the desert colored in vibrant gold's and browns.
Looking up Elleth had only a moment to stare in appreciation of the beast before her, before she was rolling out of the way of a bolt of electricity. It seemed as if her elusive dragons had been fighting amongst themselves for some reason. Scattered around her were fresh bones still smoldering and the victors, battered and still itching for a fight, where circling her.
Baring her teeth Elleth gripped her sword and lunged at the nearest dragon, the one who had recently tried to fry her. Its maw was still open and she could see the energy gathering for a second attack that she never let happen. Licht sank deep into the soft flesh of the dragons gullet before she ripped it free, the blood that followed the weapon faintly glowed with electricity before it died out, the dragon slumping from side to side as it's own attack had been channeled through it via Elleths blade.
The dragons corpse erupted into flame as she turned to face the others, noting that only two dragons remained, waiting, watching for her next move.
