They had been back at the Pantheon a short while now and Glyph was taking the time to simply relax and enjoy the lush greenery of the grounds. The sunshine, gentle and life giving here, was far more enjoyable then the harsh, blistering heat of the desert they had spent weeks in.
Even his rooms were changed... Xun and he had done some remodeling after their return and there was space enough for all manner of guests and their personal entourages as well. Forge, too, was safe and sound and decision regarding her status pending.
It was quiet, for once, and he'd fallen asleep under one his favoured apple tree, thinking of the sweets that would await him upon return to their rooms - he'd had a massive craving for something sugary ever since their return.

Glyph should have been aware that this was very dangerous indeed. He had already caught him napping like this once, what seemed forever ago... But now it definitively looked like he would not be the one to catch Forest unaware.
Had it been anyone else, he probably would have told the girls not to unleash the onslaught. He doubted Isidore would be part of the direct assault party, given that he son seemed more reserved, much like he was... But Caelia was already barreling for the sleeping god and Kyrie was likely not to be far behind.
But well... It was Glyph. Glyph liked kids, he knew this much, and he had spent quite a bit of the trip making fun of him. This seemed like a good divine retribution indeed... So he stayed further away, where he would likely be overlooked.
Couldn't give out the punch too early, could he ? Of course not.
There was indeed a lot of excitement in the air. Daddy had taken them out for an outside walk for the first time, and to say Caelia's young mind was blown was quite an understatement. There was so many new things here ! It was kind of when mommy had taken them to the library, but even better. This had all sorts of smells and green things and the grass felt funny as it poked her toes through her sandals.
But suddenly there was something even more interesting. There was a strange person sleeping under a tree, full of bright, plump red fruits.
Or was it a tree ?
...Tree person ?
Uh.
Well, that did not matter for Caelia. She had indeed led the charge, and homed onto Forest instantaneously - and now was peering down at Glyph rather comically. "Ohhhh ?"
She started poking at his branches, and let out an happy squeal when she realized that they were part of his head. So cool !

Outside ...
It was huge, bigger than the inside world that Isidore had known previously. He followed after his father and sister's trying to take everything in. The ground was soft, not hard like the tile and wood in the apartment. He paused a moment, crouching down to touch the green stuff. It was soft and cool, maybe even a little damp. Isidore smiled and looked up at the sky, that was blue and bright, though he could see that at home. Through the glass ceiling.
At his sister's cry he looked up. His blue eyes going straight to the sleeping person. Well, that was strange, he had never seen anyone quite like -that- before. Man tree? tree man? No, a tree god! Although not quite as excitable as his sisters Isi was definitely intrigued. He toddled up to his father and reached out to grab his robes.

Excitement bubbled in clear blue eyes as they tried to take in the vastness of the world around them. Stretching her arms out wide, Kyrie litfted them up towards the blue sky above. It looked different somehow from the sky they could see from their home. Bigger, bluer, much more open. It made her want to jump and try to touch it despite the seemingly impossibleness of the feat.
Bending her little knees to attempt the jump, she paused when her sister's excitement caught her wayward attention. Straightening, she turned her eyes towards her and opened her beak excitedly when she saw the figure stretched out in the shade of the big tree. Cawing, she looked to her father and clapped her hands and bounced a little before pointing. Turning back to the figure, she followed her own finger and sister, pulling up to a stop just short of tripping over the long legs. Chortling happily, she looked the figure over and then to her sister.
"Cae!" she cawed and pointed to him as if expressing her sister's name could express the multitudes of questions running through her head at that very moment. Laughing her chortling laugh, she boldly put her foot on of of the long legs. Mommy had told her not to climb onto people's laps, but it was soooooo hard to resist when they were right there at Kyrie level and oh so open for the climbing.

When Caelia tugged on his crown, Glyph groaned a little and lifted a hand to rest it on the branch that had been tugged but didn't stir. Animals and birds and the like often treated him as they would any other tree, it didn't bother Forest, but whatever that had been had been strong - or heavy. Yawning, he tilted his head and settled back into sleep.
At least until someone tried to climb into his lap and he started awake, knocking his head against the tree as he blinked repeatedly to find a crow clambering into his lap and a young girl looking excitedly at him. The confused look on Forest's face didn't last very long as he chuckled. They were godlings - that much was obvious. Had someone had children while they'd been away in the desert world?
"A crow? And... a goddess? I am honoured!" He laughed, the smile glittering in his eyes. "Were you tugging on my head?" Glyph asked of Cae, patting his knee to show Kyrie he didn't mind being climbed.
But whose were they? He looked around but didn't immediately spot any of his peers. Hn. They'd probably gotten away from their handler then. Ah well, he'd entertain them until someone came by!
"What're your names?" He asked, turning his attention back to the two of them. Cupping one hand, he summoned berries and offer them to the pair, "Do you like sweet things?"

...Those were funny sounds ! The man shifted a little, but the really funny stuff started happening when her sister started her own assault. The tree man just darted so quick, and Caelia's laughter was loud and sweet, amused and innocent. She had not registered the fact that he had knocked his head and that had probably hurt.
To Glyph's question, Caelia simply smiled her sweetest, most innocent smile. Her ? Thug on his head ? Certainly not. As if it would ever dawn on her to do such a thing ! But it clearly could not be anyone else, with Kyrie having been trying to take over Glyph's lap.
"Cae." She knew the answer to that question ! And clearly, well, she was not a very old goddess at all. Speaking still needed a little work. "Cae-lia~"
But then bright red berries came out of nowhere and the little goddess' sunrise-colored eyes went wide as they could be. How had he done that ?! That was AWESOME ! "HEEE !" was the delighted outcry as she went right for the berries. These were good, too, tasty and sweet.
Clearly her brother needed some of this. "Isi !" She called out, wobbling herself back on her feet and looking around for him. "Iiiiisi~ ! Come, come !"
Fffffft---
Yup, that was one hell of an awakening. He had a feeling that he would be familiar to such awakenings if he did actually sleep... But as it was, it was certainly hard for his girls to catch him unaware. Distracted, yes, but not completely unaware.
The familiar thug on his clothing made him look down to his son's inquisive face. "Looks like your sisters found a friend... Do you want to go meet him too ?" He encouraged Isidore to go forward. Granted once the shyer child made his way toward Forest, it might very well be obvious whose's son he was...
But well, he anticipated the look on Glyph's face to be priceless when he figured it out.

It wasn't that Isi was shy, not at all. He was an inquisitive chap in his own way, just more ... respectful than his sisters. There was no need to go rushing off and clambering all over people you didn't know.
He looked up at his father and nodded. Of course he wanted to meet the tree god.He released his father's robe and wandered off towards Caelia who was yelling his name. "Whaaat?" He asked, stopping by the tree god and looking up at him. Caelia was holding something out to him, something colourful and edible looking. He grinned up at her. "No ta*."

Yay! She had permission to be on this lap! Clambering excitedly, albeit clumsily, up the long legs, she plopped herself down on his knees and twisted her head to the side to get a good look at him. He was so different looking, just like her. Sure her brother and sister and mother and father all were different from each other, but none of them were quite as different as she was. Fluffing her feathers with excitement, she looked to her sister as she answered his question. When it was her turn, she nodded a little and opened her beak.
"Ky!" she managed with a crow and a bounce on his knees. 'Ky-rie,' she finished with a thought that became very abbreviated as bright red berries appeared in his cupped hands. Clapping her hands, she tittered with excitement and started to lean down to grab one with her pointed beak when she remembered her mother's words to be very careful. Sitting back again, she reached out with her hand instead and picked a few up, managing to squeeze a couple in the process sending red juice squirting between her dark fingers. Opening her beak wide, she dropped the handful into her mouth and savoured the sweetness of the berries.

"Caelia, Kyrie." He nodded, grinning as he patted the crow on the head and smoothed the feathers down, "I'm Glyph! Or Forest!"
"Whaaat?"
The voice drew his attention and he blinked a the third child. "Hello~ Do you want some too?" Having no idea what the youth meant, Glyph offered him the handful as well. Still... three young ones.... "What's your name?"
He looked a lot like.... no. Glyph laughed and shook his head, looking them over. A Crow, a god of the dead in some fashion... and Caelia. He wasn't sure what her domain was... It was one of two pairs - either Echo and Nergal or Ankou and Cosine. Echo hadn't seen Nergal in some time, which likely meant Ankou. That rascal! "Youuuuuu." He chuckled to himself, absolutely amused. And the Spirit Guide had the audacity to call him shameless?
"Ankou! Wherever you are, I know you're here! They're yours aren't they?" He looked around, wondering if the Spirit Guide and decided to go invisible just to mess with him.
"Here... Let me stand Kyrie, Cae." He hoisted the little Crow and set her gently on his shoulder, just behind the pillars that grew from there before he rose and stretched his arms and back out.
"Say... do you three want to play?" Forest grinned, looking from one to the other. "I know lots of tricks!"

Had it been possible for Caelia's eyes to grow even wider when Glyph stood, well, they would have. As it was, her jaw dropped.
He was so tall.
Wayyyy taller than daddy, who as far as Caelia had known, had been the tallest person ever. Whoa. Could he touch the sky ? She was certain he could.
Which, of course, led her to raise her little arms. Clearly she also wanted up. And if she was not taken, well... She might very well try to climb her way up there.
Oh, yes, he had been certain he would be outed as soon as Isidore had made his way there, but the look on Glyph's face ? Priceless. Completely, utterly, priceless.
Had he vanished ? Oh, no, not this time... It was much funnier to hide in plain sight. "Well, if you had bothered to look..." Now that he had spoken, however, it would be easy to notice him in the distance, looking quite amused indeed.

Isi shook his head at the offer of fruit. Nope, he was fine as he was. It was becoming clear that, just like his father Isidore was not bothered about food. He stared wide eyed as the tree god, Glyph, stood, he was huge! And pretty, he had lots of wonderful colours and textures. "Isidore." Isis replied, reaching his cool hand out to touch Glyph's leg. He felt like a tree, how exciting was that.
Hearing his father's voice he grinned and turned to face him. "Look Da!" He declared, tipping his head back so he could see Kyrie way up in the sky, or so it seemed.

Kyrie gave a chirp of surprise as she was plucked from Glyph's knees and she went sooooaring up, up, up! Cawing happily, she reached her arms up towards the sky. She was sure she was going to be able to touch it this time. Though her ascent stopped at the full reach of his arms and she found herself being placed amongst his branches. Now this was the place to be, she decided as she wrapped a dark arm around the pillar of his shoulder and peered down at her siblings.
"Cae!" she cawed. 'Isi!' she thought in her odd mixture of crowing outloud and projecting her thoughts. Laughing her hoarse laugh, she waved down at them and kicked her feet a little.

Caelia's astonished expression made Glyph laugh and he shook his head, "Tall hey? Like the trees!" He reached down and offered her a foot hold to climb up on her own - she had that look in her eye.
"I did look... or tried to anyway. I'm kind of buried in godlings at the moment." Glyph replied as he turned to Isidore, "Isidore, hm? Good name! Not hungry.. mn... what about..." There was a flex of mana and a quail lifted his head from the grass, its bob bouncing. He had no power over the creature but as nothing here would harm it, it felt no need to take flight. "'Less you want up too, Isidore?"
"Ankou?" Glyph had been struck by an idea, "Can I steal your kids for a bit, take 'em for a walk through the woods? Show them things?"

YESSSS.
For what she lacked in the talking department, Caelia seemed to make up in the physical - she easily took hold of the offered 'perch' and then scrambled her way to to Glyph's other shoulder with ease.
There there was a birdie ! "Ohhhh !" She learned forward a bit to get a closer look, using his shoulder protrusions as a grip not to fall over. The little goddess had taken enough tumbles down furniture to have learned that one lesson already. "Birdie !"
"Well." Came the amused chuckle. "It does not look like neither of us have much choice on the matter, do we ?" It was good that the kids liked him, through, if only because of what he was about to ask. "I was looking for you, actually... If you can spare a moment of course." His expression was amused, however.

Isi looked up at his sisters and laughed. They certainly looked as though they were having a good time up there. Did he want up? Well, he certainly didn't want to be left out. "Yeh pease." He held his hands up to the big tree god.
