My name is Party Poison - and I know that the majority of you, probably all of you, see me as your leader. So I guess I am the leader, now. I’m broadcasting this over my good friend Dr. D’s radio. And to all my fellow Killjoys, I have to answer a question for all of you who are asking…

What are we fighting for?

I know that this war is a long and hard one. We’ve been fighting BL/ind for 4 years now - since 2015 - and I know how easy it is to just give up. But we can’t. We can’t give into BL/ind. They want to take away everything that makes the world go round - happiness, sadness, even love. They think a world without emotion would solve all the problems, but in reality, the opposite would happen. Imagine a world without color, Killjoys. No emotion, no creativity, no…nothing. That’s what makes us human. We’re fighting for a right to be /human/. To live and exist as individuals.

It is okay to be sad. It’s okay to feel jealous, and feel mad and feel frustrated. It’s what makes us…well, us. BL/ind wants to turn us into a hoard of emotionless, living zombies. Do you want that? Do any of you want that, for you or your children, or your children’s children?

And to tell the truth, there is no guarantee that we’ll win this war. But I’ll fight to my last breath and I hope that you will too. Just remember - wherever you’re hiding, if you feel like there’s no hope left in the world, you feel like you’re completely alone - you are a Killjoy, and you are one of us. We are a big family and we are always there for one another. When you’re hurt, we’ll heal you. When you’re upset, we’ll console you. When you’re happy, we’ll be happy with you. Because you’re a Killjoy, and no matter what, you will never be alone.
