Hakidonmuya found himself wandering around completely confused about what he was doing or where he was going. Everything just looked the same. Still he was excited to meet Heze, they had planned to meet and he was going to meet her... just as soon as he found the darn spot! "Kulaani miti hii isiyo ya kawaida. Jinsi milele mimi kupata njia yangu?" (Curse these unusual trees. How ever will I find my way?)
Heze was waiting, she had arrived at the spot that Haki had said to meet him at, the one where they had landed not the one they had met at. Though she was starting to wonder if he had ment the one they had met at. Maybe he was there waiting for her? She looked arounf herself again, deciding to give it a little more time before heading to the other spot to check.
He frowned, wondering what he was doing. When he noticed something.... at least he thought it looked familar. It took him a moment of turning, his clawed front feet digging into the ground. He was sure this was the spot... bu no Heze! He frowned. Maybe he was early, he looked to the sky, no... he was late. His ears drooped on the top of his head. She wasn't here. Had she left already? He couldn't believe how sad he felt at that notion.
Heze had started wandering towards where they met, thinkign that she must have been mistaken about the meeting place. A small frown on her face as she walks, feeling bad for having gotten mixed up. In the mean time Sonnet was heading out on patrol, Christopher with him though he wasn't sure why he had been asked to owl sit, but the bird was with him and all the time it didn't take a chunk out of his rump he didn't mind the company.
Haki frowned, ok, maybe there was a chance he had messed up in telling her to meet him here? It was more than possible given the barrier that still loomed between them. Determination set in as he started to walk down the path he thought they had taken last time on their wanderings. Hidden in the feathers of his hair he had placed a small gift for her, he only hoped it would still be in one piece. ----------------- Kimi clucked, her eyes trained for any sign of movement as he stomach growled and rumbled with hunger. It had been so long since she had last ate a decent meal, the rabbits and small creatures weren't enough for her any more. And on top of that her hatred for Maion and his bloody herd was pulsing like an angry beast within her. She growled low, cursing her bad fortune. Worst still was that she was sure he stomach was starting to swell.... if only that was true! Then she could start her army again her brother, and end this war once and for all! She turned just in time to see a flash of dark blue move beyond the tree line. She licked her lips and moved towards it.
Heze had gotten to their original meeting spot and was looking around. Settling on the grass as she waited, still wearing the bracelt that Haki had made her, hoping that she hadn't missed him, or that something hadn't happened to him. Nibbling at her lip as she waits.
Kimi didn't waste time stalking her prey too much, she was far too hungry for that. Still there was one question she wanted an answer too... she knew better than most that this was Miakoda land, and as such anyone on here was a threat to her. Wings spread wide she leaped towards the strange looking beast, pausing only for a moment at the strangers clawed feet... like her? NO! No pelt. She shook her head, hissing softly. "Whattssssssssssss are youssssssssss doing heresssssssss?" She narrowed her eyes even as licked her lips and prepared to attack. Haki froze for a moment, shock rippling through his body. The creature before him radiated evil intent, though he was having difficulty understanding the words. He hesitated, trying to decipher them so he could think. This beast, and that was all he could say to decribe her, wore a pelt of wings and had four pawed feet... very differnt from his own bird ones she looked more like a wolf ready to pounce. He was new to these lands, hadn't seen one of her kind before, though a single word came to mind... the word that others had screamed at him. Skinwalker. And if he was right then Heze was in danger. He spread his wings, holding his head high. "I tell you nothing."
Heze was restless, she stood back up after a time and looked around. She was not sure why but she was worried about Haki. Se knew he wouldn't have not come, so she was sure something must be wrong as he had been in neither spot. Starting to walk only to stop and bite her lip some more. She wanted to go looking for him but had no idea where to go looking. Sonnet was walking, keeping an eye and ear out for things, tohugh as he walked he started to notice that the forest was getting more quiet. Frowning he stopped and listened, he had never herd the forest like this and it boded ill. Picking up his pace he started to move away from the direction he could hear bird chatter in, ocasionally he found a small creature heading the other way. But he persisted in following this dred silence that had started to grow as he moved. Pausing he looked around, stil lthe herdlands.... This was definately bad news, and he had no idea what he was about to face but he doubted it would be a cute fluffy bunny*

Kimi clucked her tongue, snapping her beak shut at the answer she had recieved, it wasn't good enough. "I'sssssssssss advissssssssssse otherwissssssse creaturesssssss!" She hissed then, spreading her four wings as wide as she could, the fingers opening causing the feathers to spread. She wouldn't be outdone ona show of wing span, not by this strange looking creature at least. "Tell me!" She squaked, moving her tail on the ground and flashing her fangs. Aggression was something she well known for... but couple that with hunger and her hatred for where she was and you had a very deadly combination indeed. "Tell me, or'sssssss you'ssssssss ssssssshall neversssssss leavessssssssss heresssssss alivesssssssssss!" She fainted an attack forward, simply to enjoy her prey squirming.
Haki didn't back down, knew all too well that doing so would mean his death anyway, one thought rang true in his mind. If he died, he would not tell this creature anything of Heze and her family... sure he didn't know much, but that wasn't the point. "No." He said, determination dripping from every word.
The world seemed to slow, he could hear the steady beating of his heart, could feel the way the breeze blew through these strange trees and caught his feathers. Tensing and relaxing his claws he planned what he should do.... he could attack, no one would miss this creature after all! Or he could run... though that would likely trigger a chase, something he couldn't risk just incase he wandered into Heze or her family. No. He must stand and fight here. "Now you leave." He said, his eyes never leaving the horrible creature. No wonder those of this land hated them, he could understand their fear of him given what he could see before him.
Heze paced, she knew she should go back to the herd lands, but she could't talk herself into going. So she just wandered back and forth between the trees by the path home and where she had been laying. Worrying at her lip with her teeth, it was not like her to be so easily worked up but she was worried.
Christopher sat with Sonnet, wondering where Crown had gone; still he supposed there were worst stallions to travel with. At least Sonnet was a decent enough guy; and he never seemed to talk needlessly too him or try and get a responce from him when it was clear he had no intention of such. Yes, all in all Christopher liked Sonnet. The owl cooed, stretching for a moment before closing his wings aroun himself once more.
Sonnet's ears priced up as he kept moving, he could hear voices and that made him more sure that this was a bad thing. Glancing at Christopher on his rump as he edged forward, his blood going cold as he recognised the hissing female voice. Turning towards the owl and whispering in a slight hiss of his own. "Go back, tell them its Kimi on herd land." Not lingering on weather or not the owl would go, just trusting that the bird would accept the task and go, after all most all the herd knew of Kimi and her vendetta, though not all knew why, him included.
Striding forward once Christopher had left, glancing at the odd looking stallion, having missed what he said because of talking to the familiar, but he knew enough to know that Kimi was after Maion's family again. "What goes on here?" Glancing from one to the other before focusing on Kimi, she was a definate threat, the stallion could be on either side.
Christopher did as he was commanded with a seconds hesitation, flying straight back to Crown who happened to be with Maion and Drashi. Keeping his words clear and consise he wasted no time with nonsence. "Kimi here. Sonnet danger." There, message passed on.
"Kimi?" Crown looked to Drashi and Maion, knowing all too well that this wasn't a good thing. Never a good thing.
Kimi's head snapped to Sonnet as he arrived, and for a moment her focus slipped... him! He had hurt her! She remembered that, remembered all too well that she had vowed to one day take her revenge for his crime against her... but today? Would today be the day. Her stomach growled. "Leavesssssss here!" She squarked at him, not wanting to waste any more time as she approached the original focus of her attention. "They assssssssked you to killssssssssss me didn't theyssssssssss!" She was angry. Hungry. And fed up of this endless game. Had her brother really sent another to kill her? Assuming that his obvious bird like features would make Kimi lose her advantage! Ha! He was sourly mistaken.
Haki didn't turn his attention to the newcomer at first, deciding that if they were going to attack he would simply have to deal with that when it happened, "No betray Heze." He said, even as he cursed himself for saying her name. It was only then that he found himself curious about the newcomer, his head turning for a moment to see.... someone very much like Heze. Purple. Four wings. A horn. A relative? The stallion was obviously older than Heze... but that told Haki nothing, other than he would now happily give his life for the guy, just incase he was related to Heze. Focus returning to Kimi he clucked his own tongue in his beak-like mouth, he would waste no more time.... couldn't afford to. He charged, clawed feet open wide and ready for an attack.
Kimi felt claws slice into her. She cried out in pain but recovere quickly as she used her entire body to throw off the attacker.... the guy landed with a harsh bang on the ground and that only caused her to lick her lips in anticipation. In that moment she care nought for Sonnet and her revenge... all she wanted was blood, flesh... a quench for her never ending hunger! "MINEEEEEEE!" She roared, leaping and latching on so fast that even as the guy struggle against her advance her pawed claws dug into flesh, her teeth sinking in causing damage. And oh hell! It was bliss. Blood poured into her mouth, and all she could do for a moment was practically purr with delight.

Heze unaware of the danger and trouble brewing pluked a feather from her wing, holding it in her teeth she reared up and attaked the bark of one of the trees, making a sratch that she could tuck the end of the feather into. Doing so, wanting to leave a sign that she had been here, hoping that it would make him pause long enough here for her to get to the other place and back again before he left. But she had to drop in and let her family see her first, not that she couldn't wander but she had been gone a while so it was best to show her face on the way to the other possible meeting point.
Hearing his daughters name on the stallions lips and seeing him attack Kimi told him whos side he was on. But it also put a brief thought of 'oh him' into his mind. Though that was soon gone, leaving him with a few seconds to decide how to help the strange stallion. Moving forward, needing to get Kimi off him, but also needing to do her enough harm to get her to leave. Lowering his head and aiming his horn for her rump. If he just charged her she would rip parts out of the stallion so he had to get her to let go. Lunging forward, trying to stab good and deep into the muscle of her rump with his horn. Hoping to make her lame and hurt her enough to get her off the other.
Kimi licked her lips, about to go in for another bite when... pain! PAIN! It struck her so hard that she screetched, the noise enough to shatter any unsuspecting eardrums. Instinct had her letting go and turning towards Sonnet, she snapped her beak. "Againsssss!" She said, not really asking a question but instead giving a statement. She stamped her paw into the ground, licking her lips once more and looking down at the stallion she had just taken a bit of... fine... she woul leave, at least she could pretty much rest assure he would die, and that would hurt Sonnet... perhaps he would come for her. She licked her lips, hissing and screetching at Sonnet once more before flying off to lick her wounds.
Haki lay on the ground struggling to breath. Everything seemed to fade in an out, merge together, dance, zoom in and out... yes... he was going to die, he was pretty sure of that. Still he forced himself to try and stand. "I thank...." He groaned, all but collasping to the ground once more. A moan escaped his lips and he felt dizzy. Would he never get to see Heze again? Was this really the end of everything?
Maion snapped to attention, "Drashi come with me. Crown, stay here and watch over everyone while we investigate." He didn't want to endanger more of his herd than he needed, "Keep this quiet, we don't want everyone scared." With that he and Drashi took off, looking for Sonnet, for Kimi... for anyone. What they found was Heze walking back towards the herdlands, unable to resist he landed and lingered long enough to ask, "Are you injured Heze? You should not wander too far... it is not safe." He said those words through gritted teeth, he had always done his best to make sure everyone could live freely and without fear, but Kimi seemed to be a near constant threat... plus on top of that he had noticed a Kalona hanging around, as if watching and waiting for an opportunity to strike. Maion would never do the first blow... but he would be sure to finish things!

Heze blinked as her grandfather landed in front of her, shaking her head in a hurry to his question. "No... I'm fine... whats wrong?" Realising there must be more going on here if Maion was out like this. Feeling a sudden sick panic that this is why Haki was late. "I was going to meet a friend... they never showed up....." Opeing her mouth to ask to go with him but knowing he wouldn't let her, if there was trouble then she was not a protector yet so she would just be in the way. "I'll go right home..." Worry and reluctance in her voice, wanting to go with him but she obediantly turned to carry on her way bak to where everyone else was.
Sonnet looked down at the stallion, helpless to really help him, he had never been able to use his magic and this was more than a graze. Honestly he had been stunned Kimi had just left. Ignoring the trail of blood that was crawling down his nose from his horn he looked Haki over, trying to work out where to press to stop him bleedign to death. Muttering to himself as he tries to help and save the stallion. "Had to be the only non magial unicorn out there didn't I..." He might not be happy about his daughter having a male friend but his heart would shatter if the stallion died and he had to see Heze cry over it.
Maion let out sigh of relief, looking over at a silent Drashi before looking back at Heze. "Yes, go home Heze. We shall be back soon."
Drashi remained silent, even as his eyes looked over Heze to make sure she was ok. She seemed to be telling the truth but that didn't mean that Drashi didn't worry about her. Once Maion had finished talking to her they took off again, looking for Sonnet and the mess that was sure to await them. Joy, and he had hoped for a quiet day.
Haki blinked, finding himself looking up at the purple stallion as he spoke.... 'magical'... what did that mean? He didn't know, and he was feeling too tired to figure it out. Instead he forced himself to roll, even as his side protested the action. His vision blurred again, and he found himself looking out past the purple stallion to see... two blurrs approaching, they were too far for Haki to see the details right now, but he was pretty sure his eyes went wide for a moment, as if he expected another attack. He managed to say one word, "Behind." Before coughing up more blood.
Maion and Drashi didn't take long to find Sonnet, the purple stallion was thankfully easy to see against the world of green... plus, there was a strong scent in the air, one Maion was all too familar with... blood. Someone was hurt. Approaching quickly it soon became apparent that it wasn't Sonnet. "Are you ok, son?" He asked, landing with a thump and a thunder of wings. He looked down at the bloody mess that was... a stallion, of some strange origin. "What have we here?" He asked, trying to access if friend or foe. Come in peace or leave in pieces.
Behind Maion, and far less thunderous, Drashi landed, once again falling silent even as he turned to look at the surroundings. He would give them warning should anything try to sneak up upon them... but this location wasn't secure. They needed to move from here... and soon!

Heze nods, glancing at Drashi before they both take off. "Be safe!" Carrying on walking when they were gone. Having been perfectly fine so she just went home like she said she would. She might be a little brash and some would say reckless but she was a good girl at heart.
Sonnet, glanced round to see the other two landing, nodding. "I'm fine, she didn't even try to hurt me..." Looking back to Haki, trying to keep him still. "Its ok, we'll help you." Looking at Maion, thinking that this was going to end up being one big mess... The herd rules were clear, and this was going to get all tangled up in those rules.
Maion looked to Sonnet, and found himself asking, "Did he attack first?" It was against an Angeni's nature to do so, but for the other breeds that didn't seem to be a problem, still he approached, if Sonnet was trying to save his life he surely wasn't a bad guy. And it was possible he only attacked first -if he had indeed done so- so that he could save himself from a skinwalker. They were fearsome creatures.... but still....
Lowering his head he examined the guys wounds, "Wow, he is a mess." Kimi had really had a good go. "Stay still." He commanded, lowering his horn and focusing all of his energy into the guy. Magic rippled and flowed, and it was at times like this he had to be thankful to the God Alignak for granting him extra power, sure he was still far more Angeni than unicorn, but he had noticed a slight increase in his healing ability too. Probably enough to save this guy though. Stopping before he wore himself out he lifted his head to the others, "I can keep him alive... but we need to get him back to a proper healer or he will die." He sighed, as his mind tried to figure out a plan. "Drashi, guard. Sonnet, do you think you can help him on to my back?" Maion could fly faster than the others now, so he woul be able to get the guy to a healer faster... but getting him on his back in the first place was the real challange.
Haki found himself feeling strange, warmer almost.... and a little better. But with that came the recognition that he was being touched. His whole body shivered at the idea. "Usiguse. Tafadhali. Usiguse mimi." (Don't touch. Please. Don't touch me) He repeated it, again and again, even as he was aware they couldn't understand him.
Crown saw Heze return and wandered towards her, trying to act 'normal' even as he found himself worrying. "Welcome back." He said, his eyes taking a moment to scan behind her, unable to resist he leaned closer to her and whispered; "You didn't see Kimi did you? Shhhh!"

Heze's eyes bugged at Crown's question and shook her head, not trusting herself to talk, her worry having become mild panic. If Kimi was around then no wonder they had been in a hurry.... but... Haki? Shaking her head again, she wasn't going to panic, it wouldn't help, she didn't know anything, it could all be coinsedence. Taking deep breaths trying to calm down, leaning into Crown a little, giving him a little bump of a hug before moving away. "I'll watch the other path." Not wanting to distrat him.
Sonnet looked at Maion with that question. "Its more compliated than that... When hes with the healer." He would explain but not when someone could die during the explanation, but he needed the stallion to co-operate so he did the only thing that he could think of after he had done vocalising in his own language. He made sure to catch Haki's eyes, using one word that he was sure to get the stallions attention. "Heze..." Waiting till he was sure that Haki was listening. "We will help you, take you with us, heal you, Heze is there..." He didn't actually know she was there but if she wasn't there now she would be back soon enough, she was always good about following the rules. "We must carry you. I'm sorry." Nodding to Maion that he was ready to help now that the stallion either understood or at least knew they were only going to help him. Remembering vaguely about him not liking to be touched, but not remembering why, guessing thats what the fit was over. "Lets get him to the healer Maion, Heze is going to have a fit when she sees Kimi hurt her friend." Not sounding happy but he only cared about not making one of his little stars cry.
Maion found himself wanting to roar.... this stallion... Heze?! It was like Sonnet and Chandra all over again, and boy did Maion remember that all to well. How could his dear grandaughter be old enough to even look at a boy? Perhaps they were just friends, yes, they were just friends, had to be. Heze was too young. End of.
Nodding in agreement he lowered himself to the ground, forming a wall with his wings on oneside and lowering the other half to the ground to try and make this easier on everyone. "Ready." He said.
Haki wanted to wince at the continued touch, even as he saw the purple stallion get in his line of sight and say the one word that would make him pause in any language. Heze. For Heze? He didn't really understand what was going on, but he heard her name again and it strangely seemed to ground him. Residing himself to the fact that he couldn't do this alone he stopped struggling and fell silent. This couldn't be the end... with them dangling Heze as a tempting carrot before him, Haki knew he had to at least try and hold in there.
Crown gave Heze a symapthetic look and accepted her hug, even as he found himself glad that she hadn't been hurt. "Ok... but I never told you any of this, you hear?" He said, once again getting back to 'work'.
Drashi turned to see what Sonnet and Maion were doing, the creature was a mess. He was torn, he didn't want to leave the pair unguarded, yet at the same time he wanted to go ahead and warn the healers to prepare. "Shall I.... go and get help prepared?" He asked a little caustiously, Drashi simply hoped to offer an alternative view point.
Maion looked at Drashi then and thought about it for a moment, there were two of them... surely they could hold Kimi off should she return. "Yes." He said to his adopted son, "Get Carlisle and anyone with healing powers ready. I want all hooves on deck." He paused long enough to add, "Try to keep the others away from it all... we don't need a crowd."

Heze glanced back at Crown and offers a worried smile. "Tell me what?" Pretending she doesn't know anything as she carries on walking away, she wouldn't say a word.
Sonnet took a little work but he managed to get Haki onto Maion's back, not looking at Drashi as he takes off. Trying to be as careful as he could to get Haki onto Maions back, the black stallion being so much bigger than him, it was like being a teenager all over again. "Hows that?" Asking finally wanting to be sure that Haki was in a good place on his back, feeling bad about moving him so much.
Haki winced and yelped, but let them do it. Think Heze, think Heze... he reminded himself, still it was not comfortable being touched so much... especially since these stallions were complete strangers, and it was more than possible that they would kill him rather than help him. You could never be sure... not that Haki was in much possition to do anything. His side felt very damp, but he didn't dare look.
Drashi landed in the herd lands not long after, calling for those he needed. "Auva, Zaniah, Carlisle....." He hesitated a little before saying the next name, only having overheard part of the conversation but he wasn't sure Heze would really want to see her friend in that state... yet at the same time he was pretty sure she would hate him if he didn't include her... so, reluctantly he added; "Heze. Come quickly. Emergency." Drashi gave orders to the others, requesting food, large leaves to use as blankets, medicines and anything general they might need. Anything more specific could be assigned and gathered later. Baby steps, he told himself. Keeping a calm head. In many ways Drashi felt detached, something that seemed to be happening more and more with his interaction among the herd... how could he change that? He didn't know any more.
Maion nodded to Sonnet, "It's fine." He stood slowly, oing his best not to jolt the poor stallion more. "Let's go. Faster the better." The guy weight more than he had expected and he wasn't sure he would actually make it to air let alone fly home. That left one option... running. Wasting no time he set off. One two three. One two three. Again and again he kept up his relentless pace.
Haki found himself bouncing, and with each jolt his consciousness seemed to slip in an out. Hurt. It hurt so much.
Heze came running at the first shout, so she was almost skidding to a stop when Drashi got her her name, his hesitation in calling her making her feel a cold stab of fear. Ending up not able to stop so she altered it to trotting around drashi to slow herself down rather than skid into him. Looking at him, her fae worried, wondering why he hadn't alled her mother too, arlisle being added made it obvious someone was hurt. Looking at Drashi whe she had finally stopped.
Sonnet followed behind Maion, looking around, keeping an eye out for Kimi or other dangers. He didn't know how long it would take at this pace to get back, but having seen how badly he had been hurt it would need to be soon because running like this wouldn't be doing any good.
Carlisle didn't have a clue why he had been called, but he had grabbed his satchel with his things in out of habit as he started towards where Drashi had caleld from.
Auva walked along side her mother, silent as always, her long hair flowing behind her as she looked with a little fear and awe at Drashi... he fascinated her, but at the same time he was so 'cold' towards those around him that she often feared getting noticed by him, let alone getting her name called first for anything. She had to wonder if she had done something wrong, especially since her sisters had been called too. Yet, the moment Carlisle was called she realised it couldn't be beacuse of that, simply because she had done something wrong. Silently she watched and listened. Organised choas reined all around her.
Chandra walked straight up to her brother, "Drashi, what's wrong?" The concern on her face was clear. Why had her daughters been summoned? She was sure Drashi wouldn't have called them for anything dangerous... right?
Drashi looked a little surprised at seeing Chandra, "I didn't realise you were here, we could use your help also. Will you direct the girls?" He knew before she asked, simply from her look, that she wanted details. In a whispered voice he spoke so only Chandra could hear; "Kimi has attacked someone, Maion and Sonnet bringing him in. I need you to help heal him." He knew his sister was only really good with pain, but perhaps that would be needed too.
Chandra's brow furrowed at that, but she understood what her brother way saying. Situation critical. She turned to her daughters, "Ok my lovelies," Kissing each on the forehead before lingering on Heze, she seemed worried and it made Chandra wonder if she feared something... "Are you ok?" He asked her softly.
Maion could see a group gathered before him, just a little further. "Hold on," He called up to his precious cargo, even as he did his best to keep as still and steady as possible as he moved, but the jolting was inevitable. He looked over at Sonnet, concern clearly furrowed on his brows. They could make it... right?

Sonnet gave a nod as they kept running, looking at Haki, he seemed unconcious so faster was better at this point. "Hes passed out, hurry."
Carlisle stood with the others, offering a calm reassuring smile, feeling rather odd one out being all white and gold, apart from the pale blue on his wing tips. But his smile didn't fade when he saw the injured stallion in the distance on Maion's back, it just took on a different quality, havign found that parients liked a ertain kind of smile, it made them worry less if the one treating them seemed unconcerned.
Heze looked from Drashi to her mother, not getting to answer before she herd the hooves, looking round, seeing her father and grandfather, and a flash of colour on Maions back, a familiar colour..... Shaking her head, trying not to jump to conclusions, but murmering half to herself. "Haki?..."
Chandra heard her daughter speak... Haki? That was the name of the boy she liked, or at least was friends with. Her own eyes snapped to attention, seeing her father racing towards them with the limp form of a stallion upon his back... dead? No, injuried... and badly by the looks of things. She kissed her daughter, trying to be as reassuring as possible. "It will be ok. Fear not." Oh, how she hoped it would be that simple... but by the blessing of the Moon and the God Alignak who seemed to favour her father she hoped that a disaster would be averted this eve.
Maion heard Sonnet explain that the guy had passed out and so went full pelt, time was a sensative issue too after all. Wasting now time he lowered himself to the ground and tilted his body so that the guy all but slide down his back and wings before landing on the ground. All the healers had been summoned it seemed. His white wings were now coated in red blood, and that made Maion worry. If too much blood was lost there was nothing they could do.
Haki wasn't aware of anything until he hit the ground, the bump a sudden shock enough to bring him back to consciousness. He moaned, "Maumivu ... sana." (Pain... so much) he found himself mumbling, though the words hardly sounded like actual words now. His eyes felt too heavy, and the light seemed too bright.
Crown brought over what he had been ordered to collect, dropping them at the sight of the injuried stallion... holy moon! What a mess! Wow, it was a miracle the guy was still alive, but sure enough he could just make out the up and down of the chest, though it was shallow and irregular. Not wanting to get in the way Crown tried to stay at a distance.
Maion wasted no more time, sitting down beside the stallion he lowered his horn and started to use his healing once more. Not much happened, which wasn't a surprise given how tired he was... but he had to try.
Chandra blinked for a moment in hesitation, she had never seen something like this before.... it was... horrible. She didn't like it, knew this was the reason she fear violence most of all. It was enough to make her fear Skinwalkers forever. It took her a moment but she followed suit after her father, lowering herself to the ground so that she could also offer her healing. Nothing actually seemed to heal with her touch, but she hoped it would take away some of the pain... and man, he must be in a hell of a lot of pain!
Auva gasped at all the blood, there was a lot... and the stallion they had brought had claws... it was... scary. Yet, she tried not to run away, sitting as close to her mother and grandfather as she could manage she lowered her horn to the stranger and focused. Heal, heal, heal! She thought. Hoping that her concentration would somehow aid her powers.
Haki flinched everytime someone or something touched him. He really wasn't comfortable with it... but was in no possition to fight it.
Carlisle watched as the angenicorns started healing, moving round and inspecting the damage. His fae showing nothing to reflect how badly the stallion was hurt. Settling and starting to pull things out of his bag. Heze moved over to haki and knelt next to Carlisle, lowering her horn, never having had to heal before, but she rested her horn on him and closed her eyes, not just thinking heal, but live. Sonnet not sure what to do, he had never had much of any use for magic, even when he tried, but he knelt beside Auva, resting his wing over her gently as he bows his head, resting his horn on the stallion and thinking of trying to heal, hoping for once it works.

Haki wriggled, he felt strange... and with each moment that passed he became more and more aware of the fact he was being touched, he didn't like it, wasn't used to it... and coupled with the throbbing in head and side he wasn't having a lot of fun right now. He breathing was still laboured, and even as he felt some strange power coursing through his body and the pain lessening considerably he couldn't get over the touch issue. "Usiguse.... Don't... touch..." He started panting from the effort, his world threatening to spin him into darkness once more.
Crown watched in concern, everyone able seemed to be knelt down next to the mess of what was clearly once a whole body, their horns touching... it was an almost magical scene.... but one that terrified him at the same time. Before his eyes he could literally see the wounds knitting themselves back together; but before much headway could be got it seemed the creature was struggling. "Shall we restrain it?" Crown asked, turning to Drashi for advice.
Drashi shook his head, not really answering Crown's question but pitying the guy and his obvious pain. "No," He finally spoke to Crown, "We should give the healers plenty of room. Let us keep the others busy and away from here. They do not need to see this." He commented.
Maion felt heavy and old. Unable to do much else having giving it his all he sluggishly stood and moved away, only to nearly collapse to the floor. Unable to do much else he sat down. Healing had always taken it out of him, left him vunderable.... but Sonnet's words rang in his ears, this stallion had something to do with Heze... therefore Maion would do all he could to say him.
Chandra wasn't far behind her father, and as the creature started thrashing as if in some kind of pain she couldn't predict she was forced to conceed defeat. What was she supposed to do? She didn't want to bring him more pain... yet that seemed to be the case, perhaps she was only good with labour pains? Perhaps these wounds were simply far to servere... either way there was no more she could do. And while she gave in rather relunctantly she hoped there was some other way she could help. Her eyes fell towards Heze... her strong daughter, she seemed to be giving it all she had... this stallion meant something to her, everything, if Chandra had to hazard a guess... surely there was something they could do for him? Turning to Carlisle she asked, "Is he in pain?" At least that was what she thought until she heard him speak, first in a language she couldn't understand and then the words... 'don't touch', at least that was what it sounded like. "Everyone... leave him for a moment." Concern furrowed her brow, was that the problem? That they touched him? She looked to her daughter Heze for confirmation before settling her gaze on her mate.
Auva pulled back so fast at her mothers command that it was almost as if she fear being burnt. What was wrong? She didn't know, she had been concentrating so hard she hadn't heart the strange creature speak. Her head snapped to her mother... at least until she saw her mother look to Heze. Copying Auva's eyes found her sisters, seeking the answer to her unspoken question.

Sonnet lifted his head, feeling giddy, though he didn't have a sense for his magic so he just felt giddy and light headed now, trying to stand and not gettign far. Ending up back on the ground with a small huff as the air left his lungs. "I think all my bloods in my head now..." Looking over to his mate and to Heze, his expression a little worried but also the serious look of sonnet trying to not freak out.
Carlisle nodded, but he had kept back to let the unicorns do what they could, pulling some leaves out of his bag. "I need water and some sweet fruit to make this taste better so he can drink it." Putting the leaves in what looked like a wooden boat, though it was lined with stone, not able to remember where he got it from. Starting to crush the juices out of them with a stone, shaoed and wrapped so he could use it in his teeth.
Heze lifted her head and met her mothers look, looking around feeling everyones gaze on her, apart from Carlisle who was working on something that she hoped would ease Haki's pain. Looking back to her mother. "His people... touching is done only with very close family and mates... You have to be invited to touch...." Looking at Haki, trying to meet his eyes, sounding upset. "I'm sorry... but we can't save you if we can't touch you. I'm sorry"
Sonnet hearing this felt oddly better because clearly the stallion hadn't let Heze touch him so they must just really be friends, after all if they touched she wouldn't be sorry.
Chandra looked to Sonnet in concern as she stepped away from Haki and towards him. Not sure what to do or say considering the new development Heze had just revealed she decided there was something else she could do instead.... something that might help bring the stallion a sliver of peace. "Sonnet, shall I help you?" She offered softly, having noticed how her mate had wobbled a bit... blood in his head and all that... After a moment she turned to look at Heze, "I'm sorry." She turned to Haki, "So very sorry...." She didn't know what to say or do, and as a small part of her mind whispered that she had done more harm than good she found herself cursing herself. She didn't want to harm anyone! She wasn't a fighter... had always cherished life, touch, strength in togetherness... but those very ideals had brought her daughters friend pain.
Haki scrunched his eyes shut, taking a moments relief in not having anyone touch him.... if only for a moment. He couldn't focus, and although he was away Heze was speaking the exact words seem to escape him. 'Sorry' he was pretty sure he heard the word of apology. He tried to shake his head but only ended up wincing in pain. Ouch!

Sonnet looked at his mate and gave her a smile, he didn't like her to be sad. "Shhh north star, don't fret, he will understand, his way is just different thats all." Getting to unsteady hooves and moving to Chan, wrapping a wing around her and giving her a nuzzle, his head easing up a little.
Carlisle looking around to se if anyone had gotten him berries and water like he asked.
Heze rested her head down, facing Haki. "Haki, let us help you, please let us help you... I don't want to watch you die... Please?"
Haki heard more words, but still couldn't focus too well, he did manage to open his eyes...and saw n angel before him. Heze. He couldn't help but smile at her. She was speaking... she seemed sad... he didn't know what she wanted but he nodded his head softly all the same. He didn't want her sad.... Pain roared through him and unable to stop it he let out a very bird like scretch.
Chandra looked at her mate, her eyes slightly watery but she understood what he was saying... it was just hard for her to understand. Taking comfort in his warm as he approached she happily held him up until he felt less dizzy. "Ok.... " She said softly so only he could hear, "....I just want to do more."
Crown had gone running the moment Carlisle had asked for berries and water. He used one of his sister, Eden's, inventions to carry the water, and had already added the berries to the box since he had no other way to carry them seperately. HUffing and puffing he placed them by Carlisle. "So-rr-y I--was--slow." He said a little out of breath having run full force to get them. He went to move towards Drashi again only to dsicover he was talking with Maion.
Maion nodded at Drashi's request, as always his son was so practical and attentive to details. "I agree." He said, "We should get everyone who isn't essential away." He stood, a little wobbly at first but the rest had done him good. "I ask you to look after the mares Drashi, take Crown with you." When Maion said 'mares' he didn't exclusively mean just the females... there were certain males after all who were rarely without their mate when they came this close to the heart of the herd -Orion for example- but Maion wouldn't pull them apart. No, he was seeking normality... just away from this point.
Drashi nodded at his father before setting off to find the group he would watch.
Auva sat still, letting the world ignore her for a moment... was she meant to continue? Or get up an walk away? She wasn't sure and so she simply sat still as she waited. Her eyes watched as one of the creatures claws seemed to flex and relax, as if it was an involuntery action. What was he? Auva didn't know... but since Heze obviously knew him she didn't feel too scared by his presence.

Sonnet smiled, his senses returning more now he was on his feet. "You will, he was hurt badly, that mxed with his funny language and odd customs... too much at once for him to accept maybe." Not having a clue but something had set the stallion off.
Carlisle smiled at Crown. "Its ok, perfect timing." Sucking the berries out the water they were floating in and dropping them into the little boat grinder thing, tossing in a couple of other things from his bag and musing them all into a paste. Starting to add mouthfuls of water and mix it all together making a cordial... it didn't look very tasty and he would have prefered to make it as a tea but he didn't have the time for that now. Carefully pushing the boat over to Heze when it was more drink than mess. "He needs to drink all of it, it will help with the pain." Feeling a twinge of guilt for not adding that it would also knock the stallion out till they were done healing him or patching him up, he didn't need to remember being touched if it upet him.
Heze looked at Carlisle and drew the medicine over to Hakis nose. "Haki... Drink... it will take the pain away. Please drink" Trying to keep contact with him, knowing he understood better than this, thinking it must be the pain and trauma to make him so addled.
Concern furrowed on Chandra's brow as she watched her daughter try to coax the injured stallion to take the medicine, it almost seemed like a losing battle, and the blood continued to leak from his partically healed wounds. There was only one option she could see... if the stallion wouldn't drink.... and wouldn't let them touch him... well, maybe... just maybe... he would allow Heze to help him. He knew her after all... but if that was the case it was not something that Sonnet should see. "Let us get some water..." She asked softly, kissing her mate on the cheek. She hoped he would either not see her reasoning or at least understand enough to join her....
Haki looked up at Heze, watching her delicate lips as they moved. 'Drink' .... 'pain away'... he understood those words but as he tried to lift his head to drink he found it impossible. The moment he moved his head swirled in a wave of dizziness that forced him to close his eyes once more. No! He screamed at himself, he had to stay awake... had to stay here... had to live! If he was going to die it couldn't be infront of Heze, not like this....
Auva watched as more blood bubbled, and unable to stop herself her healing instinct took over and she placed her horn just hear the wound.... heal... she thought again. Her eyes scruntched up in concentration even as the wound started to knit itself together. She wasn't strong enough to heal him all... but maybe she could keep him alive? For her sister... perhaps in this she wouldn't be completely useless!
"Eden?" Drashi called, looking for the one mare that usually told him the truth, told it too him straight and wasn't afraid to speak her mind despite who he was and how cold he appeared. He had a task for her... but first he needed to find her.
Crown felt a little useless as he watched.
Haki flinched the moment something touched him, and he flailed for a moment, at least until his energy seemed to be spent and he was left panting once more. His side felt as if it was on fire... and with each moment the heat only increased! What was happening? Was he on fire? He looked at Heze, seriousiness and pain flickering in his eyes. "Forgive me...." He managed to whisper through a dry mouth.

Sonnet nodded and left with his mate, not having gotten to where she had with her reasoning, but then he was not a healer. But he would go with her because she had asked him.
Carlisle sighed, the stallion was too weak and in too much pain to drink without help, looking at Heze his expression apologetic. "He might not take the medicine from someone else... you will need to feed it to him... it will make your mouth numb and wont taste as nice as some things but he needs to drink it." Leaning closer he whispered exactly what he wanted her to do.
Heze listened to Carlisle and blushed but she nodded and looked to Haki. "Haki I'm sorry.... I'll help you drink to take the pain away.... I'm sorry.... Theres nothing you have done wrong, trust me..." Hoping he doesn't condem her for this she takes a mouthful of the not so nice tasting medicine. Placing her lips to his mouth she carefully tried to make a small gap in his lips with her own, just enough to let the fluid trickle through.
Eden was not far from the drama, havign been checking one of her alarms when Drashi called her. Wandering over to him she tilted her head, lookign at him expectantly.
Haki had closed his eyes by this point. So it was rather a surprise when something soft touched his lips. It made him jump, even as he opened his eyes to see Heze there... was she kissing him? A goodbye kiss perhaps? He had heard of the tradition since coming to this land but never expected to recieve one... his first kiss... at least that had been what his mind had thought, a moment later he felt the slight proping of Heze's tongue that was swiftly replaced by.... liquid? Understanding rang midly in his mind... the medicine, she was trying to help him. He appreciated it, he did.... but his mind was roaring in alarm.
Chandra smiled at her mate, thankful for his trust. "I hope he doesn't die." She said when they were finally alone.... "I think it will kill Heze." She hoped she was wrong, but the look in her daughters eyes, the determination that she would exchange her own life for his... it was love; even if Heze hadn't realised it yet. "She loves him Sonnet." She said, the words slipping from her mouth faster than she could catch them.
Auva carried on healing, no one had told her to stop so she assumed it was safe to. Everytime he moved though she feared she would stab him with her horn... but dared not stop. HEAL! The commande sent a jolt through her body, and she felt more magic flowing down her horn than she had ever, it was only a short blast, and was swiftly returned to her normal unimpressive rate.... but wow... was that her potential? Was it possible she was stronger in unicorn blood than angeni? A particular line up of genetic material that made her unique to her siblings. Just keep healing... just keep healing she chanted in her head.
Drashi looked in Eden's direction, having caught her scent before seeing her. "It seems you are already doing so.... but I have a request." He said in all seriousiness, his role as second in charge of the Protectors obvious at that moment. "Could you check the alarms for me, but don't go alone. Take Orion or Crown with you. Or both." He hoped that alone would indiciate how serious he was.

Heze lifted her eyes, looking at him, pleading with her eyes for him to understand and forgive her. Her desire to help him there too. the pale blue shimering with tears, feelign so guilty for doign this to him, but she jsut wanted him to live, he could hate her after if he wanted. Moving her head to suck up a the second mouthful, her mouth going back to his, this beig the last of the medicine. Unaware that Carlisle had made it stronger than usual to make the pain relief work faster, and the anastetic to knock Haki out. She didn't know about that, she would never have done this if she had known. But then later she might have understood Carlisle doing so, he was a healer and he cared for his patients mental and physical well being.
Sonnet went stiff at the last words his mate spoke, trying not to flip out, after all it was not her fault if his daughter was in love with the stallion. Looking at Chan and shaking his head. "I'm not ready my star... I can't accept that yet, she is too young, I wont agree." He knew his protests were weak at best, and stemed from the fact he was her father moer than from objection to the stallion... But damn it she was one of his babies! Closing his eyes he rested his nose against Chans neck. "Now I know what I must have put your father through."
Eden looked at Drashi and sighed. "Orion is not a fighter, but I will take him with me... I can take Crown too, but really I am nearly done. but soon as the coast is clear I'll et more up where this happened... Clearly theres gaps...." Sounding far from happy about this, her eyes glancing around, having seen much in her passing by to the alarms. Looking to Drashi again. "Do you think he will live?"
"I know Orion is no fighter.... but strength in numbers." He spoke, a slight stern tone to his voice. Drashi groaned a little at Eden's question, not because he wasn't displeased that she asked, or even because he was mad.... but simply because he didn't know how he felt about it. "I hope so." He eventually said, knowing that no matter what... He never wanted to see Heze cry like that. And yeah, he was no fool, he knew she would be deversated.... more so than if even he had been in the stallions place.
Chandra brushed Sonnet's side with her wing, "We can not stop her growing up.... now matter how much we want to keep hold of them." Kissing the top of his head, or at least whatever it was she could reach as she turned her head a little towards him. "Do not fear... she will always be your baby girl." True... bittersweetness of parenthood.
Her mates last comment was enough to have her laughing. "Yeah.... I think he nearly died. Did I ever tell you that he had a conversation with me?" She offered, trying to distract Sonnet. "Yeah, he was asking if I was sure in my choice, that children wasn't cause enough to stay with someone if I didn't feel for them.... but he knew, I think he knew before you told him, that I cared for you with all my heart." She grinned at him. "I really do love you Sonnet dear." She kissed him again, "You have given me the world and more."
Haki was starting to feel numb. His body was throbbing in a strange way and he was starting to feel sleepy, so much so that as Heze tried to give him the last of the medicine he ended up drippling it down his cheek onto the ground as sleep took him. Through the haze he hadn't seen all of Heze's apologetic expression, hadn't seen how this made her feel... though he could feel it somehow, as if it was vibrating through his very skin. Which was probably why he dreamed of her.
They were running together, a field of gold grass so tall that only their heads appeared above the crop. It swayed from side to side. She smiled, laughed, sang.... all of which was magnificent, and Haki was transfixed, consumed with nothing but the sight of her glory, her passion, her freedom.... glorious.
Auva watched as the creature notable relaxed and calmed... was this the end? She paused, snapping her attention to her sister in concern.
