In The World R:2 Mac Anu returns as the Root Town of Delta Server, though it is now a much larger city than it was before. Many @HOMEs are located here, as well as many Lost Grounds. There is an Alchemy District and Mercenary District.
In the storyline of The World R:2, Mac Anu is the seat of power for the Arvakv faction. Additionally, Anu is the goddess of the stars, replacing Krake in The World's Pantheon.

As the familier screen of the root town appeared, a black clad PC walked from the building that headed outward into the setting sun of the Root town, Mac Anu. The Black PC walked and looked around "..." In real life, Kaoru Tesin sat behind the computer screen for the 2nd time that day, she had decided to do her homework later. But anyway, Mistress walked around the center of the root town where all the guilds sold diffrent things. Why was she here in a beginner area. This place was way below her level. Anyone could tell that with the way she held herself. She might as well go look for some PKs since she was here...and also since there seemed to be nothing new about what she wanted to find out.

Rouge Metrea
The level 80 red-haired gunner stood casually near the Chaos Gate login point in Mac Anu. This town was a bit low level for her, and it showed in her stance and equipment. However, today was a rare free day for both her and her sister, and she was waiting for her to log in.
She checked the huge, analog style tower clock visible through the door in the login gate. "Any minute now," she said with a small smile, watching the gate intently.
Sure enough, within a minute a shower of familiar green streamers and blue pixels dropped down in front of the gate.
Habataki Kasumi
Kasumi logged in at exactly 3:01PM, her chores and other mundane tasks complete- at least, the ones before dinner, anyways. She checked herself, making sure all of her equipment was on straight before looking around. She had promised to meet her sister today and go dungeon crawling with her...and maybe a few friends. She looked near the save shop and saw her impossibly bright red gunner sister standing there. She gave a small wave of greeting.
"Good afternoon, big sister," she said, jogging up to Rouge Metrea. "What dungeon do you want to try today?"
Rouge Metrea
"I think maybe a level 38 or level 40 dungeon would be good. I saw a few choice keywords on a forum skimming. But first, let's go look around. I think some of my friends are online right now."
And so the sisters walked out the door, into the huge, familiar city.

Mistress had let out a sigh as she stopped near the alchemy department in the root town. There was no use coming into this root town...It was completely useless. She considered logging off right now, since there seemed not much to do or at least warp to another area. Maybe Dol dona or Breg Empona? maybe. Mistress didn't want to log off yet. There was no point anyway. "...." Looking around again, she made her way toward the green warp point and warped back to the center of the city. She just decided to look at what the guild shops had for now.

 Ginko logged into The World today and ended up at Mac Anu. He always loved how big this city was. Bigger than Dol Donna and Lumina Cloth. Speaking of Lumina Cloth, he waited everyday patiently for this day. Today, a new tournament is up, and Ginko feels confident in winning. He decided to take a stroll along Mac Anu. While he did, players looked at him, he could hear the whispers; "It's Ginko, the legendary Pkker, 'The Prophet.'" They all said. He simply ignored them and continued walking.

Speaking of whispers, as Metrea walked with Kasumi, she was pretty sure she heard the hushed remarks towards Ginko, somebody she remembered well. A sly smile appeared on her face, earning a strange look from her sister."You shouldn't whisper like you're scared of him when he's so close," she said towards Ginko with a teasing tone. "You're just stroking his ego." As she said that, she sent a wink at him.
"Are you sure it's safe to talk like that?" Kasumi asked. "I've heard of this guy, he is...troublesome when he is angry."
"Relax, little sister. I know this guy. He's a good person, he helped me to level before you started playing. Although, you are right to say he earned his reputation-he frequently solos entire teams in Lumina Cloth. Speaking of which, we're both levelling well. Perhaps we can join him...I'm eager go see him gain a crown."
"I guess..." Kasumi said with a resigned sigh. "If he's a friend to you, I suppose he's a friend to me, as well."

(Don't you worry, my posts are mainly from my phone too.) Ginko heard a familiar voice behind him, he turned and saw a familiar red haired Steam gunner. "Well if it isn't Rouge Matrea! How have you been?" He said with open arms. 'A friend of yours Ginko?' Fidchell said inside him. Ginko looked at the women next to Rouge, "And who is this with you?" He asked. "I was on my way to a member if my guild to see if he wanted to participate in the next Tournament in Lumina Cloth with me."

She greeted him with a friendly hug, uncaring of how improperly forward she was. "I'm doing great. And hearing that you're able to get a tournament teammate sounds fantastic. This," she said, gesturing at Kasumi, "is my little sister, Kasumi, a spitfire of a Harvest Cleric reviled by PKs for surprise water spells and aggravating healing of their targets."
Habataki Kasumi
"It's a pleasure to meet the esteemed ally of my older sister." Kasumi said formally, bowing in greeting to Ginko.
There was a faint shimmer behind Rouge Metrea, a transparent outline of Macha the Temptress, visible only to Ginko, but whose presence may have been felt by Mistress. However, Metrea seemed unaware of her tenant...
"Hey, you know, if you need one more person or a tournament team, I don't mind joining in. If you need two people, we could try with Kasumi. It seems like good training."
"Big sister, I'm not going to run off somewhere...though, would you mind with the huge level differences? I'm less than half your level, and my class wasn't exactly built for tanking..." Kasumi mumbled, blushing in embarrassment.

Ginko laughed at her blushing. "I never said I only tank? I also heal, in fact, the member I was going to see was a Shadow Worlock." He then saw the figure behind Rouge. "Fidchell..." He said quietly. 'Yea, I see it,' Fidchell said, 'Macha.' Ginko shook off the though and turned his attention back to the girls. "So? "

Mistress stopped her purchase to look over her shoulder. She felt a shiver run up and let out a sigh. She had to turn the AC in real life off...its to cold...When she finished purchasing the items, she heard what the other PCs were talking about..blah, blah, blah...Prophet Ginko. the other PKK that was well known or something like that. She heard that he partcipated in tournaments in Lumina Cloth but never went there herself to watch. Mistress disliked wasting time after all. Mistress had notice that there were two other high levels in the area, one of them being the other PKK and a red headed PC...Why? Who knows... After shrugging it off, she turned around and started to head back to the Chaos gate to go look around the areas for PKs...she had heard a few of them were gathering up in an area. Once she went in, she selcected "Hidden, One-way, Angel" and warped.

A small tic appeared on Kasumi's head. "I'm a harvest cleric. Level 35. That was what I was referring to before. I am not even half your level, and unfortunately, very killable." she said again, slightly annoyed that she was misunderstood. "If you need a healer, I can assist. That is what elder sister was saying." She flicked her staff, drawing a line of water behind it-a casual Rue Kruz, an attack that she used so often in her forays to rescue and recover that she got more than a few passing glances. "Well, as for us," Metrea said, "we're probably going to go dungeon crawling. Today is a rare day that both Kas and I have free, so we thought to do a little treasure hunting. You're free to join us if you're so inclined." she said casually, flipping her red hair over her shoulder.

Ginko thought about Rouge's offer. "I think I'll come, I like helping players level up, let's go." He said. He then felt a chill down his spine. "Fidchell, you feel that?" Ginko said. 'Yes, there's not one, but two Epitaph users nearby.' "Two?!" Ginko said.

"So what keywords do you have for this dungeon crawl?" Metrea asked her sister, having a few in mind already.
"Um, well, I saw a few. delta Bequeathed Fortune's BBQ Plate, delta Winding Mind's Old World, and then there was this really weird one I heard about on the forums- delta Unseen Illusion's Shadow. I think I want to try Unseen Illusion's Shadow- the name is so cool, and apparently it's a really crazy place in that everything changes all the time. Layout, time of day, heck, even the hills shift, from what I heard. And someone even said the 4:44 phenomenon is kind of interesting too...but they only heard of it through the rumour mill, nobody knows exactly what happens. It's so creepy but I just HAVE to see it!" Kasumi said excitedly.
Rouge Metrea raised an eyebrow in questioning. "I don't know, that sounds like a bad idea. Nothing good comes out of the 4:44 phenomena. But I can tell you want to check it out anyways. Come on then, let's hurry, or we'll miss it! It's already 4:03pm," she said somewhat reluctantly, going to the Chaos Gate with her sister. She somehow had a really bad feeling about those keywords. "Er, wait, you have enough potions and smoke bombs right?"
Kasumi rolled her eyes, but it was with an eager grin. They were getting to go see the interesting thing, how could she be unhappy? "Yes, big sister, I have everything. Stocked up for this yesterday before I went to bed. Can we go now? I don't want to miss this," she said, going up to the Gate, sending party invitations to Rouge Metrea and Ginko, and then inputting the keywords.
delta Unseen Illusion's Shadow: Level 37 area.
((Pulling some Chinese numerology on this one: 4:44 Phenomenon- apparently one of the lost grounds in the game has an odd phenomenon where if you are present at that minute and don't leave IN a minute, you will die. 3- birth, 7-spiritist/ghost...birth of a ghost?))

"Well of course!" Ginko said. "So," he said to Fidchell, "what Epitaphs do you see are here Fidchell?" 'Hmm,' Fidchell said. 'I see Skeith around here, and Macha is right in front of you.' "What?!" Ginko said accidentally out loud.
