 The bathrooms have been cleaned and are practically spotless. Practically because gnomes will only do so much... There are three doors. Boils, Ghouls and Other. No, not that 'Other bathroom'. This is simply a bathroom for those with no specified or preferred gender. They're the perfect setting for every teenage cliché, don't you think?

Other Bathroom
Malodore was, in fact, at Prom. Technically. The fact that it had entered and made a direct beeline for the others room notwithstanding. It was in the same building as the event. That was satisfactory.
... It still didn't want to be here, though. But it was, for Jericho's sake. It had initially resolved to stay away, to spend the night in other pursuits, but the dragon had his responsibilities, including setting up and partially presiding over an emotionally intense, busy event. As a patient under Malodore's care, it couldn't let Jericho go in to such a situation without some sort of watchful eye. It couldn't ignore the potential for things to go wrong.
So here it was, leaning against a wall near the sinks, wings swept around it like the bars of a metal cage. Close enough. Jericho didn't even know it was here; hopefully its attention wouldn't even be needed. But it had to be present, just in case. It would do its duty, even as it felt raw and empty.

Other BathroomSibyl had a date. A date. ...What was a date? She was't actually sure. The only reason the ghoul knew what prom was at all was because an upperclassman had forced her into a pretty dress and mask. She supposed prom meant silly clothes. Okay! She liked to play dressup and pretend! But after arriving with Aymet the first thing Sibyl had noticed was a strange sign on a bathroom door. Not the decorations, not the food, not the hard work the student council had put into planning and setting up. No, it was...the door to the Other bathroom. It had tentacles and legs. She tilted her head left, then right, then left again. It looked like a comb. Oh! OHohoh! Did it have combs inside!? She liked combs! They were pretty! Without another thought Sibyl opened the door and burst into the room, eyes wide and grin wide. "..Oh." It was just a bathroom. Darn! She wanted a comb! Oh well, guess she'd just go make more frie--wait! Waaaaaait..there was someone in here! A new friend."HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII, FRIEND~!" Sibyl called out happily, raising an arm to wave to the tall, skinny student with cool wings and a tail and ohohoh what a cool mask she wanted their mask! She was completely oblivious to its sadness.

Other BathroomMalodore blinked as someone burst through the door - it had been counting on the relative lack of non-binary students to keep this place quiet and undisturbed. A foolish thought, of course. " Buon giorno," it said, carefully, pulling its wings back so that it was no longer quite so hidden behind the spars. "Ah, if you are looking for the ghoul's room, it is not this one... though I suppose it does not matter, much."

Other BathroomBwon geeorno? Sibyl blinked. "Bwon geeorno~!" She repeated back at the other student, arms spread wide on either side of her, eyes wide behind her mask. "What's a bwon? Is that your name? It's nice to meet you, Bwon! I'm Sibyl!"She watched as Bwon uncurled from around itself, blinking. "Ghoul's roo--oh~! I came here looking for combs! The sign looks like a comb." She grinned, suddenly paused, and looked toward the door. "Why aren'tcha outside going danceydancey with everyone else? I hear it's lotsa funsies~!" She hopped up and down, clapping her hands. She was very, very excited. "I'll dance with you, Bwon!"

Other Bathroom"Bwon?" Malodore replied, thoroughly confused, before the unfamiliar ghoul verbally ran right over it. It felt rather like it had smacked into an unexpected brick wall and then fallen over, stunned. "A-ah... no, no, my name is Malodore and... I do not wish to dance. I am terribly bad at it. That is why I am in here, you see." The lie came easily; anyway, it was pretty much true, even if it wasn't the only reason why it was in the bathroom. "I appreciate the kind offer, though," it added quickly. Obviously this ghoul didn't know who it was, or its history. That was strangely refreshing. "I am sure there are many who would be delighted to take you up on your offer, though..."

Other BathroomAs Bwon fell over Sibyl gasped and hurried to its side to help it up, eyes wide. Was it okay?! "Oh, Malodore? It's very nice to meet you! Awww, why not? Dancing's fun! You don't gotta be good at it for it to be fun~!" Did she look like she was good at it? Teeny little ghoul she was? She was better in the water than on land. She didn't look at all disappointed. Oh, no. Sibyl doesn't just give up. That is not how Sibyls work, you see. "I want to dance with everyone~! Pleeeeeeeeeease, Malodooooore?" She tugged on its robe, pouting up at it with wide, teal eyes and a frown on her lips. Sosiqui I gotta go to bed, but I shall tag you in the morning! ;A;

Other BathroomAnd, for a moment, Malodore considered it - the image its mind had conjured up, of Riley returning to her rightful place as a noble mindflayer, no longer defiling herself with it... if there was no chance, then... It blinked, and the moment was gone, that spark of daring swallowed up again. It shook its head. "I am sorry... Sibyl, was it? But I do not feel like dancing. Please, do not ask me again." Its voice cracked on the please, and it cursed itself. "It is only that the one I would most like to dance with is not here, and I do not want to dance with anyone else," it said, which was more than it meant to, but it would rather than than be faced with a barrage of questions related to its emotional state. Damn its voice!

Other BathroomSibyl was excited. This was a new friend who would surely dance with her. A new friend who would come out and have fun because there were lots of friends to be had around here and everyone was having fun and Malodore deserved fun too because Malodore looked super awesome and super cool and super nice and super super and-- no? She blinked, and for the first time ever Sibyl looked genuinely crestfallen to be rejected. The way its voice cracked...it sounded sad. Why was Malodore sad? Had something happened? Ohhh...but that was silly! Sibyl pouted. "Well..where are they? That's mean! To keep you here all alone!" Suddenly she smiled. "You should go get them so they can dance with you! And then everyone can have fun! Lots and lotsa fun~! And then you don't have to be sads!" There was an obvious pause as she seemed to consider something. Sibyl just watched Malodore for a long, quiet moment before suddenly reaching over and wrapping her arms around the plague doctor in a warm, tight hug. Her cheek pressed against Malodore, she was grinning again. "Don't be sad, Malodore!"

Other Bathroom"She... can't come," Malodore began, and then it was being hugged. It was not remotely a seductive hug, which was good. Still, the plague doctor tensed, wanting to flinch away from the sudden contact, but the ghoul hadn't done anything to it. Not really. She was just trying to cheer it up, in her own admittedly misinformed way. She didn't deserve to take the brunt of its frustration. "I am trying," it said, instead, freeing one arm and awkwardly patting at the top of her head. "I, ah, appreciate the sentiment... perhaps I will come out, later." Part of it wanted to - to enjoy the distraction, the company of its friends. Had they not been a great solace to it? But part of it also wanted to stay here, hiding away from everything and everyone unless it was needed. Because, really, the things that were causing it the most pain had both started, in a sense, at the last school dance... It shook its head. "I will consider it, I promise, even if I do not dance. Ah... thank you, Sibyl..." The thanks wasn't paired with any sort of great emotional easement on the plague doctor's part, but at least it was considering things.

[OTHER BATHROOM] Roch went in the first door. Well, y'know, because he didn't have wings OR a demon tail. Sure he didn't have tentacles, either, but he rather liked the design. Besides, all he needed was a mirror. The punk boil looked blankly at Mal and Sibyl, who were hugging it out--"Um, sorry for interrupting," he said. "I just gotta see how much damage she did," he added, heading for the mirror to examine the vibrant red slap mark on his cheek. "Son of a witch," he hissed. "Sucker hurts twice as much when you look at it." He could have healed it earlier, sure, but this was a welcome moment away from the horseman.

"ROCHESTER!!"
Roch went still at the mirror, a shiver running down his spine before he brought up his hand, called up his FEAR, and healed his jackin' face. Then he took a long, deep breath, and headed out the door again.

Other BathroomAs she was pat on the head Sibyl made a happy little noise, nuzzling her cheek against the plague doctor before releasing it and looking up at it with the biggest smile. It was almost a shame she couldn't sparkle like a certain pink-haired spider demon. No doubt she would be jealous to see that. "I bet she could if ya really, really try! Yaaaay! Come out, come out~! I wants to see you!" As in see it out there, not see it as in...right..now.. ...Right. As Malodore made it a promise she gasped, eyes wide. "Pinkie promises?!" She asked, holding out a hand with her fingers balled up into a fist with the exception of her pinky. She looked excited. Pinkie promises are unbreakable vows. Someone entered and she blinked, looking back at the new boil who had apologized for interrupting. Damage? Huh? Oh, goodness! Just look at that slap mark! He must have been very naughty to receive that! The ghoul jumped at the sudden yell, watching the boil flee. Well then.. She turned back to Malodore, looking expectant.

Other Bathroom"Ah, you are not interrupting," Malodore said quickly as Roch came through the door. "Do you need medic-" And then a very loud booming voice called his name, and the boil hurried out again after tending to his own needs, medically speaking. Oh dear. Hopefully whoever that was wouldn't be booming after it next. Fortunately, Sibyl wasn't booming. "Pinkie... promise?" Malodore tilted its head at the offered hand. "I have never heard of such a thing..." But it would be good for it to emerge, at least a little bit. It was capable of handling itself, was it not? Could it not deflect any questions with a I do not feel like talking about that and have it be respected? It hoped so... "Very well, I will swear," it said solemnly, holding up one hand as hers was, though it clearly didn't know what else to do.

Other BathroomMalodore had never heard of a pinkie promise!? Sibyl looked terribly shocked. "They're SUPER IMPORTANT!" She cried out, quickly curling her little finger around what she assumed was Malodore's pinkie. "They're promises that you can't break not ever! You gotta keep 'em! Or you die." Her eyes widened a moment and her face took on a comically serious expression until she relaxed again and giggled. "Just kidding. You don't die~. But it's really serious, okay?"Once that was settled, Sibyl released Malodore's hand and grinned. "I'll see you later, Malodore! It was nice to meet youuuuu~!" She offered the plague doctor one more hug, bouncing on her toes as she released it and giving a happy little wave before she skipped out of the room. She was still disappointed that she didn't get a comb out of this room, but making friends was better than a comb.
