Roll a Nine: Seashore Field: Split down the middle between land and sea, this field compliments land and water type pokemon. On the west end of the field is the land section: fine grained sand gradually slopes downward to meet the salt water on the east end of the battleground. A single palm tree wavers lightly in the breeze while shells are scattered in random places in and on the sand. In the water half of the battleground, the water laps at the sand much like at a real beach; when it retracts it leaves behind strands of seaweed and pieces of coral. Both are found under the water, offering shelter for water-types (or those who can hold their breath for great periods of times). This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to GROUND and WATER type attacks.

Shina entered the stadium, hearing the shush of the water. Must be the seashore field. Taking her spot in the Trainer's box, Shina saw that she had been correct. She tossed Rei's pokeball down onto the sand, and the pale Eevee emerged.

As she entered the field, Kytti felt the cool breeze of the ocean, and the smell of the shore entered her nose.
"Oh how I love the smell of the beach," Kytti said and reached down to her belt, and unclipped her pokeball.
With a press of the release switch, the deerling leaped gracefully out, and landed on the shoreline with ease. With a gentle bleat, she was content.

Kytti smiled to her deerling and called, "Let's start this off! You know what to do!"
Willow started off towards the eevee and jumped just before it got too close and leaped towards it with it's hind legs reaching the farthest.

Shina winced. Those slender legs had a lot of power. Rei wouldn't be able to take more than a few of those kicks. "Rei, Yawn!"
Rei stretched her jaw wide, a deep yawn inviting the Deerling to yawn back.

Rei ended up following her opponent into dreamland. It would have been almost peaceful, if not for the earsplitting Snore that came from Rei.

Rei Snored on, oblivious to the world. Shina wondered if she should perhaps ask Nurse Joy about making sure the Eevee didn't have a respiratory problem with snores of that volume.

Willow continued to sleep, letting off a little bleat here and there. After a few bleats, she got quiet for a short period.
