For a Leagil the long red stallion certainly loved the water. Maybe it was because he knew that most would relax near water and be more than willing to lay in it and just fool around. So on this warm summer day the draconic stallion made his way to the shorts of a large tributary. A place where there were strange mixes of fish. Some fresh water some salt water all in a strange murky zone. The water was now free of the ice that had separated him from the fish he had danced with in the winter and now he was free to join them in the warm water.
A child always at heart the scaled male nearly skipped into the water with a happy laugh. It was a bit chilly but it felt so good as long as it slid along his scales. Unlike nearly all other Leagil Sacha had been born with scales instead of fur. His body was covered with about 5 different kinds of bright red scales. As he made his way deeper into the water his tail fanned out behind him and flowed like sea weed. He was now waste deep in the more salty water and he giggled at himself trying to convince himself to duck fully under the water. After all if he was not willing to get fully wet there was no way he was going to be able to find some fish to dance with without the ice between them.

 Mornenion raised one emerald green eye above the level of a somewhat large rock formation under the water. Thankfully for him the area was just deep enough to hide the bright orange spots that lined all sides of his body as he watched the full grown man poke around at the waters edge. Tipping his head curiously he lifted the other eye above the rocks level for a better image of the man.
The man had scales not so unlike himself that lined his body. However, on the other hand he had these odd appendages where his tail should be. Growing up with the group of other unclaimed boys like himself he had never seen a man such as this, and it rather interested him. Mornenion was caught between the desire to better inspect the odd tail-less man and to turn around and return back to the safety and shelter of the coral reefs on the ocean bed, where his brightly colored scales blended into the surroundings. That so unlike the grays and green of the riverside.

"Come on Sacha it is just water. Just duck under." he laughed at himself and taking a deep breath and a few trail ducks he finally allows himself to fully duck under the water. It was not that it was too cold but for one whose scales drew in the sun it was cold. He opened his eyes under the water and even in the murky part he brought up with the movement of the sad he saw two large green eyes looking at him from the largest fish he had seen. He gasped and had to jump up to get a breath of air. "Woah! That fish is huge!" He giggled and now that he was wet ducking back under the water was easier.
Once he Sacha had ducked under the water he moved to swim towards the large rock he had seen those bright eyes peeking up from. The murky water had blurred most of Mornenion from his view. So the large male had no idea that the large fish he was swimming towards was in fact no fish at all.

Mornenion had watched the land man duck back and forth between the air and river's surface. The time for decision loomed on a second bases as he looked back between the mouth he had originally come from and the land man swimming towards him in the murky edges of the water.
Feeling the older boys would taunt him for showing so little bravery he edged from behind the large rock but rather than forward he moved sides ways so the only half his body moved forward. This he told himself was not running and if need be he could make a quick get away.

On the latest dunk Sacha found that what he thought was a fish had gone and instead he saw the head and upper body of a young foal. His eyes went a bit wide under the water. He did not remember seeing a foal when he had first got into the water. Maybe this foal was trapped and that sent a shiver of worry threw him.
With concern for the foal's life Sacha swam fast over to the boulder and the boy. He fought going up for air knowing that if the foal was stuck there was no way he could hold his breath for much longer. But when the dragon stallion got closer he saw that where to brightly splotched legs should be a long slender tail flicked in the water. This caused the red male to gasp and jump up for air. "No way! did I drink some of the sea water?" He looked down at the water and could see that he was not imaging it what he thought was first a fish was also the foal he had been worries about.

Mornenion watched as the scaled male swam closer and unfortunately got too close before he could swim away. The boy grimaced as he watched the male suck in water before dashing to the top of the river, so much for staying covered. Shrugging his shoulders he took a deep breath before slowly swimming towards the top himself, might as well face the male instead of trying to escape. Once a shark got the sent of blood on could never really run away, Mornenion guessed this red male might not be much different. To swift splashes of his tale led him towards the top of the river to bob next to the flustered male. A sheepish smile and a soft wave completed his attempt to communicate, he did not even know if the male could talk the same language as himself if at all. However, he did keep his tale ready to flip away and flee if the chance need be.

Sacha stared a bit at the handsome little face that looked at him him so shyly. His face quickly turned into a friendly warm smile, "Hello there! I am sorry if I scared you. I thought maybe you had been drowning I did not expect you to have a tail." he said softly then laughed a bit as he treaded the water. This little foal was amazing. Sacha could safely say he had never seen anything like the little colt and he was surely in awe. "Your a child of the water huh? I have never heard of one like you but I think it is wonderful I found you. Don't worry I don't bite. My name is Sacha. And yours?" He was trying to be friendly and not frighten this wonderful creature off. First a snow princess and now children of water. The world was an amazing place for sure!
